an improvement on their business/service listing map and report a fault system, for broken lights, fly tipping, road damage, you can click into the map give a precise location and description of the issue and road/light number/name... etc

good stuff from sdc can't for wait for dcc and fingal to do on, infact tried to make my own :/

here the fault report system, not the most intuitive too, many different pages, should zoom straight to your area..., if you've alread picked an location

direct link to report a fault page http://www.sdublincoco.ie/localview/reportafault.aspx

things like www.fixmystreet.com/ by the mysociety group is much better as it shows a list of issues, you can discuss them, and you can upload photos and report back on whether he council fixed it or not, and see an areas issues, plus the maps copyright isn't so restrictive in the uk, but I guess you wouldn't expect a council make such an open system like that.
