Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Boxing in DCU.

    Looking to start boxing. Noticed DCU doesn't have a boxing club. Just wondering what the closest club to DCU that would be beginner friendly as I don't really know the area that well.

    Dunno theres one in Edenmore though thats not too far. You can get the 17A from the Ballymun road. It would be fairly cool if DCU had a boxing club though I'd definitely join it.

    There's boxing in ballymun. Baldoyle boxing is in Kilbarrack industrial estate which is the last stop on the 17a bus route which goes near DCU. I know you've asked for boxing but there is a MMA club in DCU that does a bit of boxing, pads etc. and a similar fitness training. You might get what you want out of that especially as you're a beginner. It's hard enough to get into boxing clubs as an adult.

    hi punk,
    i'm part of the mma club in dcu & last year we did a fair bit of pad work & for those who wanted to take part there was also sparring as well. we'll be starting back training on the 12th of october on monday [6-7] & the following wednesday [8-9.30]. the monday class may be best suited to what your looking for as we're planning to concentrate on kickboxing & clinch work on the monday & wednesdays is aimed more at full mma with grappling brought into the mix. we always have new people come along at various points in the year so feel free to drop by. if you have any questions regarding the club feel free to message me on here,

    Glasnevin Boxing club on the mobhi road, across from na fianna....... its in a sorta ditch....

    Great club, I use to train there when I was a kid, but it has different days for different ages.
