Tribute Game for Ciarán Moloney/Get In There: Saturday 8th August

24-07-2009 02:23AM#1Ciarán 'Cee' Moloney (Get In There) has worked very hard setting up and running the Irish Deaf Poker (IDP) group since 2006. Earlier this year he was selected for the Irish Deaf Football Team representing Ireland in the 21st Summer Deaflympic Games this September in Taipei. Instead of coming home with the team after the Games, Ciarán will be fulfilling a life-long ambition - heading off travelling around Oz and NZ... IDP will really miss him!
In honour of Ciarán's work with IDP over the past few years and to give him a good send off: IDP will be hosting a special tribute night in the Jackpot on Saturday 8th August.
To make it extra special we will have a bounty on Cee's head! The lucky person who knocks Ciarán out will receive €60 cash plus €40 Jackpot poker voucher!
This game is open to everyone who knows Cee...
1. Who is running the event (organisation, society etc.) IrishDeafPoker.com
2. The purpose of the event (charity, commercial etc.) IDP Tribute to Ciarán Moloney/Get In There
3. Date and Location of event: Saturday 8th August 2009, The Jackpot Card Club, Montague Street, Dublin 2
4. Registration and Start time of event.: Registration from 7:30, Game starts 8pm SHARP
5. Any prerequisites (member of club, society etc): no.
6. How can tickets be purchased & is there a maximum number (in advance, at the door etc.): You can pre-register your interest here on Boards or via email to info@irishdeafpoker.com
7. Type of Tournament (Hold'em/Omaha etc Freezeout/Rebuy etc.): Freeze Out
8. Cost of entry and any subsequent rebuys/top-ups etc.: €30
9. Cost of registration: €3
10. % of entry fee/rebuys/top-up going into Prize fund: 100%
10a. Is any money from the prize fund held back for future tournaments, if so, how much: none
11. Any guarenteed prize pool: no
12. If applicable, Number of re-buys allowed and over what time frame/blind levels: none

Please let me know if you are planning to attend - we need to give the Jackpot an idea of numbers and ensure there's enough dealers etc.0

Cee.. I cringe everytime I read that name.. I hope people on here dont start calling me that. Its bad enuff deaf ppl call me that!
Dunno what to say but thanks for running the game though, much appreciated!! Hope I'll take this down cos I'll certainly need the money for my travels!

Unfortunately that date clashes with a benefit night for the family of
Joan Vickers in the Vodoo Card Club, so I will be at that.

I wasn't aware of this benefit night - would have like to be able to be there to support Joan's family too. Can you let me know the details so I can contribute, if that possible please?
Cee (sorry hard habit to break dear!
) is on a strict traing schedule, and 8th August was the only weekend he was available for this. Especially as we we have players from the country and UK who wanted it on a Saturday so they could attend. 0 -

It was Willow Connolly gave me the date and it is due to start at 4p.m.
I don't have any details of the Structure/buy-in as yet, but im sure that the

I'll be sipping Mojitos and thinking of you all in the smelly jackpot inhaling 2nd hand smoke Ha! Last I heard they still smoke in the bars in Florida... so you'll get plenty of '2nd hand smoke' to remind you of home!
