    codes for Pixmania generally cover only purchases over €300.

    this code I think expired yesterday but you can try it

    Pixie090301: €7 off when you spend over €300

    I have this laptop. Got it in Currys about a year ago. Very easy to upgrade the memory to 2GB and the hard disk is 2.5 inch SATA and I have upgraded this also.

    The battery life would be a couple of hours but if you download the latest bios update for a MSI wind U100 you can set the processor to run slower on battery to increase battery life.

    I find this great for traveling and use it a lot on foreign travel and on the train, coupled with a 3G dongle it is a great device.

    You can also swap the wireless card for a HSDPA 3G WWLAN card which takes a sim and gives you the 3G onboard. You will then need a dongle for wireless.

    The newer model has this built in.

    You can also get a touch screen kit. If you search the web for msi wind U100 you will find loads of information about modding and upgrading it. You can also run leopard on it quite successfully but I have not tried this.

    would anyone know if you'd be able to run windows 7 off this when it's released?

    Windows 7 system requirements

    If you want to run Windows 7 on your PC, here's what it takes:

    * 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
    * 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
    *16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
    *DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

    It should run, but might not be the smoothest... TBH, I wouldn't bother trying to upgrade this machine to run Windows 7 but that's just a personal choice.

    Are you sure its the 4212 you have and not the 4211?
    The 4211 is a rebadged MSI Wind but the 4212 is a rebadged ECS G10IL
