    PRO WRESTLING REBELLION

With the world having tired of the monotony and revisionism of WWE, it was not long before the company was circling the drain. Wage packets bouncing, arenas and merchandisers not being paid were just the beginnings of the problems for this once behemoth company. Ratings were almost nonexistent. A number of its top stars decided that wrestling was the past and moved on to full time acting in TV series and movies. Quite a few others just decided that they should call it a day as not every promotion liked 6ft6 muscle bound, talentless monsters. Wrestling as we knew it was finished. WWE was eventually cut leaving no regular wrestling programming anywhere. The loss of the market leader caused a huge domino effect causing almost every ambitious promotion to cut costs and re evaluate the direction they wanted to take.

The media picked up on this and were quick to revel in the death of an entertainment form that was forever under a cloud of suspicion due to drug abuse and subsequent deaths, and ridicule, given the sports worked nature. However, this had a knock on effect that no one could have foreseen – it kept focus on the seemingly dead sport.

Enter God, who has taken the earth name of Dana White so as not to seem too full of himself. A long time wrestling fan who did not want the sport go down the tubes. He felt he could muster up enough talent to create a new promotion, a promotion to re invent the sport minus the stupidity which ruined the business in the recent past. Basically, he wanted to take it back to basics. Not go to territories too quickly as he felt he needed to establish a firm foothold in the eastern American market before broadening the scope.

The vision of the company is clear – workrate based wrestling to complement small but significant storylines. There would be an emphasis on realism as it was felt that, certainly in indies, the no sell option went too far, and the “fighting spirit” comeback was used all too often. There would be very defined divisions within the company – World Title (open weight), Tag Titles (open weight) and Cruiserweight title (under 205lbs). All divisions will be capable of headlining any given PPV as every division will be sold as must see TV. This will be particularly easy given the abundance of talent at the promotions disposal. And in a departure from conventional US booking, a title match will not have to headline each PPV.

    Roster To Date
    1. Murder City Machine Guns
    2. CM Punk
    3. KENTA & Naomichi Marufuji
    4. Low Ki
    5. The Brian Kendrick
    6. Homicide
    7. Tomko & Giant Bernard
    8. "The Anarchist" Doug Williams
    9. God
    10. Jerry "The King" Lawlor
    11. Juvi & Psichosis
    12. James Gibson
    13. Ron "The Truth" Killings

Initially, it was decided that going the house show route around known wrestling hot spots was best to help this new company get the recognition it needed. White knew plenty TV executives so getting TV time was never going to be an issue, but being the perfectionist that he is, he insisted on honing the product as well as he could before going out on national TV.

It was a slow start. People were apprehensive to start going back to wrestling again. Many of the long time fans felt it could just be another false dawn, having seen their once loved promotions like ECW, TNA, WWE, WCW all fall by the wayside. The casual fan was not overly enticed either. To this end, White, decided the best way around this is free tickets for the first show in each City. Everyone in attandence will get a buy one get one free for the next show in that City. This would be foolproof as it would not cost the fans a cent to begin with, and they would be blown away by what they see in the ring.

As the first series of shows ended in New York, Philly, Chicago, Boston, Washington the promotion seemed well received. The lowest attendance was 750, the highest being 1125. Merchandise was a decent seller to offset the costs involved in running free shows. They were all also taped for DVD release for the second tour.

By the time the second tour kicked off, White was somewhat annoyed he went the buy one get one free route as he had a complete sell out in all but one City – Washington, and even there he had 950, just 300 off the capacity. The highest attendance this time was 1750 in Philly.

More importantly for the promotion, a number of feuds had developed naturally. Jerry “The King” Lawler managed to rub “The Anarchist” Doug Williams up the wrong way. The cocky Murder City Machine Guns took an immediate dislike to the heavy handed tactics of the dominant champions team of Tomko & Bernard. The World title, which had been decided in an Ultimate Fighter Style tournament before the tour, was still in hot dispute between the arrogant, obnoxious and preachy Champion - The Straight Edge CM Punk, Low Ki and Kenta, while a cruiserweight champion had yet to be crowned. This would occur at the first TV taping. Contenders in this category would be both Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley, both Juvi and Psichosis, James Gibson and Brian Kendrick, who had all advanced from preliminary bouts.

    2h7dh5u.jpg

WWE Volt is back for its' long awaited second week. This weeks show broadcasted live from Albany, NY. Again it's a sellout.
    mysterybox.gif
In the centre of the ring a weirdly shaped box hoisted high in the air. Lillian Garcia announces that a scramble will now take place for the contents of the box and that it is open to any superstar. First out of the back are is Shelton Benjamin, he signals to LT Taylor that he can be elevated onto his shoulders to claim the prize. Rushing out after him is Kane, closely followed by Chavo and Corporal Cajun. As Kane pummels the hispanic duo, Benjamin's attempt to get on LT's shoulders is hindered by a chairshot courtesy of DDP who arrived dramatically to the ring on a badass motorbike. He soaks up the crowd's enthusiasm but turns around into a chokeslam. Outside the ring Chavo and Corporal Cajun pull out a ladder. Kane takes out LT with a big boot, some form of retribution after last week but Benjamin takes the Big Red Machine out with the chair. He turns around to be met with a shot of the ladder to the face. Chavo and Corporal both ascend up the ladder but naturally, argue once they get to the top. Out of nowhere, the oppertunistic Marc Mero comes from the crowd. He knocks the two off the ladder using a Singapore cane, promplty climbs the ladder and retrieves the box.

He opens the box and discovers the Intercontinental Title. Delighted with himself, he parades it around the ring. All of a sudden, GM Stepanie McMahon's entrance music rings out. She says 'Marc, I'm glad that you cleverly saved your energy, you're going to need it because, I've booked the winner of this scramble into the main event for this evening. Tonight you'll go one on one with a man in need of match fitness before his big night, that right. The number one contender for the WWE Championship, Harley Race!
Mero's smug look is wiped from his face as the show cuts to an ad-break.

    stephanie-mcmahon-1.jpg
We are brought backstage into our lovely GM's office. In bursts Champ John Cena.
Cena: Hey Stephanie, great idea with that scramble there. How do you intend on topping that? I mean, you've a wash up and a coward in your main event I hear
Steph: You know John, you're right. we need some proper action, an underdog of sorts. Up against the odds, a real charismatic SOB. John, how about tonight we put you up against it?
    Cena: What?
Steph: Go to the ring John after the next match John, you'll see.

Cena walks out, camera zooms to Steph's cheeky smile.

WWE Tag Team Championship No.1 Contender Match
This match determines who will face The Public Enemy at Wrestlemania. The Nasty Boys take on Chavo Guerrero and Corporal Cajun. This match is technically brilliant with neither side holding back on playing dirty. The climax sees Chavo levelled with a flying dropkick. Corporal's attempt at a headscissor takedown is calmly reversed into a sitout powerbomb. The pinfall is nailed after a flying elbow drop from Jerry Sags.

    DDP_Pic_1.jpg
The next promo cuts to Marc Mero backstage with Jacky. DDP interrupts their conversation, calling Mero clever but telling him to try defend the title with more honour than how he earned it. DDP leaves it at 'BANG!'

    WWE-RAW-John-Cena-Kane_1612971.jpg
John Cena makes his way to the ring, still looking confused. Stephanie's face appears on the titantron. She says she's been hounded by a superstar for weeks about trying to prove his worth, she says that he's got a lot of anger in him. Kane's fireworks almost send Cena through the roof and we have ourselves a fine contest. After a gruelling battle, Cena manages to reverse a clothesline into the STF. Kane manages to break out of it, building momentum again, he hits a Sidewalk Slam. Upon only hearing the ref count to 2, he goes crazy, ripping monitors off the announcing table, then signalling that it's Chokeslam time. To the annoyance of the crowd, he is held back by the interruptance that is the Right to Censor. Bull and The Goodfather decimate Kane and slam him through the table. Cena thanks his new found allies.

Backstage, RTC is interviewed by newly re-hired Kevin Kelly. Asked about what they did to Kane, they say 'Kane is an amalgam of sadism and horror, and has not been we do not feel that children should see it here.' They assure WWE Fans that the monster will be put to bed so they can sleep at night.

    Main Event

Marc Mero (IC Champion) vs. Harley Race
    *Non title match*
    04.jpgrace_harley3.jpg
Harley Race is firmly on the road to Wrestlemania with momentum after a hard fought victory here. A Piledriver finished off a resilient Marc Mero who also seemed to be again rowing with Jacqueline on the side, she leaves his side after he blames her for his loss. He turns around to be hit with a DDT, the show ends with Race pointing to the 'Mania sign overhead.

    MondayNiteWrestling.jpg?t=1243187425

Segment 1: Arrogance deserves an ass kicking!
Monday Night Wrestling opens with The Rockstars in the ring, surrounded by several women. They brag about how they are the hottest thing on the pro-wrestling scene. Nobody can beat them. Suddenly, the familiar sound of the APA music hits over the PA system. The crowd erupts as Bradshaw and Farooq storm to the ring. Once in the ring, Bradshaw grabs a mic and is about to speak when Zack Ryder interupts and asks "What's up, Grampa?", and hits him with the mic. The Rockstars then bail out of the ring as Farooq tends to Bradshaw.

    Segment 2: Tournament's a brewing!
In Denny Crane's office, Nicole (the backstage interviewer) asks Denny what his plans are for the NWL World championship at the SuperBrawl. Denny says he is planning a tournament for tonight. The winner of the tournament will face Chris Jericho at the SuperBrawl. Nicole then asks what about Randy Savage (quick pop from the crowd in the arena at the mention of Savage). Denny says Savage is retired and that the NWL is about competition and Savage is too old to provide competition for Jericho. Match one of the tournament is next.

Segment 3: Tournament match 1: Mike Awesome Vs. William Regal
Awesome and Regal have a very technical match. The crowd seem into it, but at the same time, would rather a bit more action. Regal counters the Awesome Bomb into an uncharacteristic hurricanrana and applies the Regal Stretch for the submission win. Regal advances to the tournament finals.

    Segment 4: MVP's Live Lounge
MVP comes to the ring dressed in red, white and blue. The live lounge set has been decked out in red, white and blue also. MVP in the ring tells Storm that he can run down America all he wants, but the fact remains that "I'm betta than you!" The crowd pops. Storm comes out to the ring with a Canadian flag. He comes into the ring and talks about how the world is subjected to so much pro-USA "bullsh*t"! MVP is about to respond when Storm superkicks him and attacks him with the canadian flag. He then begins to destroy the set. Storm then notices a (plant dressed as) US marine sitting at ringside, he goes over to him and drags him into the ring and superkicks him. He then drapes the Canadian flag over him and leaves to a chorus of boos.

Segment 5: Tournament match 2: Paul Burchill Vs. Mike Knox
Knox has been repackaged as a faux MMA fighter. The match is a complete squash by Knox who KO's Burchill in a matter of seconds. The crowd start singing "nah nah hey hey goodbye" to Burchill after his loss to Knox. Knox' new gimmick is surprisingly over with the crowd.

Segment 6: Jericho ups the stakes!
Chris Jericho makes his way to the ring. He tells us he has a plan. He's not going to tell us hypocrites the plan, but he will share with us the footage of his beating of Randy Savage last week. Jericho says Savage is now at home afraid to confront him again. Jericho keeps berating Savage. He goes as far as badmouthing the memory of the late Miss Elisabeth and saying Savage was the real reason she OD'd! Jericho is getting tonnes of heat for this. Denny Crane comes out and tells Jericho he is fining him for unsportsmanlike behavior and to drop the whole Savage thing and worry about the winner of the next match.

Segment 7: Tournament match 3: Regal Vs. Knox
These two manage to have a great back and forth match. Regal manages to repel most of Knox' attacks, but Knox gets in a few choice shots, knocking Regal to the ground. Knox mounts Regal and attempts an armbar, but Regal manages to reverse it into the Regal Stretch for the submission. Regal is the new number one contender.
Jericho comes out to the top of the ramp and stares down Regal to end the show.

    Week 1 show here.

    Week 2 show here.

    Week 3 show here.
This week's MNG show comes live from Detroit, Michigan.

The show opened with Shane, Jake and Bam Bam coming out again flanked by security. Shane noted Rock and Show got the upper hand last week but said tonight would be different. He said he'd decided at Wrestlemania there'd be a tag team triple threat match for the tag titles and that he hoped Hassan would face Mr T. He also said he'd a big announcement - at Wrestlemania Big Show would compete against Bam Bam Bigelow. Big Show then came out to a good reception. He said he would enjoy destroying Bam Bam at Wrestlemania. Shane told Big Show not to get too excited because after Show attacked security last week, someone needed to be a special referee to control Big Show's giant ego and who better than the giantkiller - Shane McMahon!

At this point Jake 'The Snake' yanked the mic from Shane who seemed surprised. Jake said he was sick of hearing about Bam Bam this, and Bam Bam that. He said he'd lost his snake Damien and had heard nothing about him since. Shane said he was trying to find it. Bam Bam then said he was sick of Jake's complaints and asked him where he was last week when Rock beat him. Jake told Bam Bam he wouldn't have lost to The Rock as he's not a useless piece of crap. The two squared up and looked like they might go at it. Bam Bam called Jake a nobody. Jake warned he had a lot in common with snakes as they have a tendency to work well alone and strike quickly. Jake pushed Bam Bam who pushed Jake back. Big Show started laughing at the scene in the ring as Shane struggled to keep them apart.

At this point The Rock made his entrance to a big reception. He said he wasn't sure if he was watching Monday Night Grappling or The National Geographic. He said Jake as always was comparing himself to a snake, Bam Bam as always was looking like a big fat ugly walrus and Shane, as always, was looking like a whiney little bitch. Jake said Rock was scared of facing him at Mania for the vacant WWE Title. Rock told him to know his role and shut his mouth. Rock said he agreed that Jake was similar to a snake as they both have no balls. Jake looked irate and Big Show started laughing. Shane said tonight Bam Bam and Jake wouldn't go at it - The Rock and Big Show would. He made a lumberjack match for Rock vs Big Show later on and laughed as the crowd booed.

Backstage Santino and Nunzio were celebrating the news of the triple threat tag match at Mania. Beth was there but looked glum. Nunzio asked why she was upset. Santino said she was scared of facing Chyna. Beth said she wasn't scared. Santino said she should ask for the match to be cancelled since Chyna looked like more of a man than he did. He kept cracking jokes as Chyna appeared behind him. Nunzio nudged him to shut up but he kept making fun. He turned around and she grabbed him by the throat. Beth told Chyna to let him go. Chyna warned Beth her time as champion was coming to an end. Santino thanked Beth for helping him and said she must really love him. Beth called him an idiot and walked off. Santino and Nunzio looked at each other and said 'women!'

Bob Holly came by and said he looked forward to the tag match at Mania but suggested a one-on-one match tonight. Santino said that was a great idea and suggested Nunzio fight him. Nunzio didn't look best pleased at this but Santino said he couldn't wrestle as he'd other business tonight.

    Match # 1 Nunzio b. Hardcore Holly

Holly came out without Crash. Nunzio was also alone. The finish came with Santino running down the aisle to distract the ref as Nunzio hit the low blow and rolled up Holly for the win. Afterwards an angry Hardcore Holly found Crash who was wearing a blue suit and had flowers. He asked where Crash was. Crash said he was finally going to ask out Beth. Hardcore said they could be tag champs in two weeks and told his cousin not to get distracted.

Hurricane and Rosey were called into Shane's office. He mentioned the triple threat tag match and asked them how they were. Hurricane questioned Shane's sincerity. Shane insisted he cared about all his talent. Hurricane said he was feeling OK but Rosey wasn't feeling great after last week's assault. Shane said that was too bad as the two of them would be facing Bam Bam and Jake later tonight. Shane laughed and Hurricane shook his head.

Crash was again shown backstage. He found Beth and said he understood she had a lot on her plate but that he felt he could no longer keep his feelings to himself. He told Beth he liked her and asked her to finally ditch Santino. Beth said she couldn't deal with this right now and walked off as Crash looked crushed.

Santino's Casa segment - Contract signing

Santino came out and laughed at Crash's attempt to take his woman. He said no woman would turn down an Italian stallion for an albino pony. He talked about Hassan and Mr T's feud and called out Mr T who got a great reception. Santino said he and Mr T had a lot in common and said he loved him in that movie Shaft. Mr T told him to 'Shut up fool!' Mr T said Muhammad Hassan had to be taught a lesson and he'd be the man to do it at Wrestlemania. Hassan then came out and told Mr T that he was undefeated on Monday Night Grappling and didn't fear a washed up actor. Mr T said he'd beat Hassan just like he beat up Rocky Balboa which got a good pop. Hassan said he had nothing to prove and went to leave the ring.

At this point Shane came out with a briefcase. He said he wanted this big match at Wrestlemania and was prepared to countenance something that hurt him as an American - he unveiled the United States title. He said he'd promised to introduce a new belt and since he couldn't have two vacant titles, if Hassan signed the contract he'd award him the US title. Mr T urged him to reconsider. Hassan laughed and said what better representative of America than him. He signed the contract and was declared the new US champion. Mr T said at Wrestlemania he'd not only beat up Hassan but take the belt. Hassan took the belt in his hands and laid out Mr T with it. Junkyard Dog ran down and beat on Hassan as he fled the ring.

After the break JYD was shown talking to Mr T and offered to train Mr T for the match with Hassan. Mr T agreed. Hassan meanwhile was stopped on his way out of the arena. He said he had a surprise in store for Mr T next week.

Jake 'The Snake' meanwhile met with Shane and said he didn't feel like teaming with Bam Bam. Then Bam Bam entered and said he felt the same way. Shane said it was important to stay united. Jake said snakes work alone and walked out. Bam Bam warned Shane if Jake tried anything he'd beat his ass.

A package was shown hyping the main event for the vacant WWE Title at Wrestlemania. It focused on The Rock's long odyssey to win the belt and Jake's hardships and struggles throughout his life. Rock was billed as the people's champion and Jake as the scourge of society.

Afterwards The Rock was seen talking to Hurricane and Rosey. He wished them luck tonight. Big Show came along and asked to speak to The Rock and the pair went into Rock's dressing room to discuss something.

Match #2 Jake 'The Snake and Bam Bam d. Hurricane and Rosey

The story of the match was that neither side wanted to tag out. Hurricane didn't want to as Rosey was not 100% and Jake didn't want to as he and Bam Bam were at odds. The finish came with Rosey tagging in but becoming weakened and allowing Jake to gain control and hit the DDT. Bam Bam then tagged in and got the pin. Jake and Bam Bam squared off and looked like they might fight. Shane came down to play peacemaker and extended his hand to Jake but Jake walked off.

Crash Holly was seen sitting alone, looking depressed. Bob Holly came by and told him to focus on the tag titles and not some dumb blonde. Crash said Beth wasn't a dumb blonde and stormed out.

A video package played announcing the newest acquisition to Monday Night Grappling - Miss Elizabeth - and said she'd be there next week.

After the break The Rock cut a pre-match interview ahead of the Lumberjack match. He said Shane's efforts to cause dissention betwen Show and Rock wouldn't work. He made fun of Jake and Shane's issues and said he hoped the happy couple could work things out. He said it was bad enough that Jake had lost his snake and that he wouldn't want to lose his "snake-handler". The crowd chanted Rocky. The Rock said at Wrestlemania what Jake would have to handle is getting his hairy, monkey ass whooped by The Rock as he would leave the WWE Champion.

    Match # 3 Lumberjack match - Didn't take place

Shane, Jake and Bam Bam were outside the ring along with Muhammad Hassan, Santino, Nunzio and several security men. The Rock and Show faced off for a few seconds, then looked around the ring, before hopping outside and beating on everyone. The numbers got too many but out came Hurricane and Rosey, The Hollys, Mr T and Junkyard Dog to even up the odds.

Fighting ensued around the ring with Show and Bam Bam fighting into the crowd. Jake meanwhile wound up back inside the ring and in came The Rock who nailed Jake with a Rock Bottom and stood over him. The announcers sold it like The Rock had now fired the first shots in the war with Jake. Shane tried to go in and help Jake but was scared to do so as The Rock placed his boot on Jake's chest. The show went off the air with Shane tearing his hair out as The Rock stood tall with his music playing.

    Next Time:

    - With one week to go until Wrestlemania, how will Jake respond to The Rock laying him out in the ring?

    - Can Shane ease the tensions inside his warring faction?

    - What is the surprise Muhammad Hassan has in store for Mr T?

    - Chyna has declared she wants Beth's title whilst Crash has declared he wants Beth! How will she handle this?

    - Plus don't miss the debut of Miss Elizabeth and much more next time on Monday Night Grappling!

'It is better to walk alone in the right direction than follow the herd walking in the wrong direction.'

Welcome To Episode 2 Of “Wrestlecade III Preview”

This is the show where in each episode we'll show you the history behind each match that will take place at the biggest show of the year, Wrestlecade III.

This week begins with a backstage interview with the current JWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Bockwinkel.

    bockwinkel2.jpg

Nick states in the articulate manner that only he can how unhappy he was with his match at Rise To Glory against the popular Tito Santana.

    santana3.jpg

He talks about how he shouldn't have even been wrestling due to the flu but did so anyway and proved he was the best in the world by retaining the title. He then gets interrupted by the JWA General Manager Jim Cornette.

    JimCornette002.jpg

Jim is furious at what Nick is saying reminding Nick that he lost the match last night by count out and instead of proving he was the best he just proved he was a coward. Nick calmly states that he still holds the World title, proving him to be the best and that he retained the title only goes to prove his vast intelligence. The GM then laughs and says that tonight there will be a rematch, with the added condition that if the champ gets counted out the title will change hands.

Later that night the match takes place. It's a fantastic back and forward old school mat based treat for the fans, who are firmly behind Santana who gets the upper hand until Nick gets himself disqualified, retaining the title.

Next week Nick takes the mic. He talks about how unfairly he's been treated and how the entire JWA is against him so he's decided to call upon the services of an old friend and ally to help. Out comes Bobby Heenan.

    BobbyHeenan012.jpg

Bobby speaks about how Nick has been taken advantage of and that everyone loves to support a loser in Tito Santana, a man that has never been World champion and never will. He tells the crowd that Tito had his chances to be champ and blew them, and now as the World champion Nick will be taking a well deserved break and any future title contenders will be chosen by them, and Tito wont be among them. They leave the ring with their laughter drowned out by the crowds boos.

Backstage Tito is interviewed. He gives a passionate speech about how it's been his lifelong dream to be World champion. He talks about how he's always tried to do the right thing to get there but he now believes that old saying to be true, stating that nice guys do finish last. He says that this will be his last night in the JWA and that he's going to retire because if he can never become the best he doesn't see the point in continuing.

The following week Jim Cornette comes to the ring. He says there isn't much that can be done with Nick because there is a loophole in the champions contract that allows him to choose the time of his match and his opponent. He then says he deeply regrets the departure of Tito and that he did all he could to make him stay. But, the show must go on and there's a hole in the roster to be filled so please welcome JWA's newest signing The Masked Matador! The matador immediately has his first match against Dragon Kid. The two have a fun match with the crowd really enjoying The Masked Matador's in ring antics. He gets the win over Dragon Kid after a flying forearm.

Next weeks show has The Masked Matador against former JWA World champion The Great Muta. After an incredible showing by both men the Matador again picks up the win. After the match Nick and Bobby hit the ring and talk about how the title will be defended at Wrestlecade III and the opponent will be The Masked Matador, who has already proven himself to be better than the previous oligophrenic supposed contender Tito Santana by actually being able to pin the opposition, but despite the fact The Masked Matador will be receiving a title opportunity he will not be leaving as the World Heavyweight Champion. Jim Cornette walks out stating he is delighted Nick has decided to defend the title. Nick says that he's only doing it to keep himself sharp in the ring, and that the match will be nothing more than a mere formality. Jim announces that next week, the final week before Wrestlecade III the contract signing for the match will take place in the ring. The Masked Matador takes the mic and states how he's going to win this for Tito, to huge cheers from the crowd.

Nick and Bobby make their way to the ring to a symphony of booing. They're followed by Jim Cornette and The Masked Matador. They sign the contracts then stare down when Jim takes the mic. He says that while Nick may be allowed to call when and against who he can defend the title, he can still decide on the match type and to make sure that there will be no repeat of Rise To Glory the match will be a cage match. Nick and Bobby are furious as the show goes off the air. On Sunday it's Nick Bockwinkel v The Masked Matador in a steel cage to decide the JWA World Heavyweight Champion. Who will be victorious? Order Wrestlecade III to find out!

NWA TV Report WEEK 2 18.03.09

    NWA_LOGO_A_0562.jpg

As NWA TV opens there are many many questions on the lips of NWA fans, who have been speculating wildly at the shocking conclusion to our TV show last week.

    - What business did WWE owner Mr McMahon have appearing on an NWA TV show? What could his intentions possibly be?
    - Who will win the #1 Contenders’ Elimination match between Terry Gordy, Konnan, Tiger Mask and Kensuke Sasaki and go on to face Eddy Guerrero at NWA Fallout?
    - Have Mexican legends Konnan and Eddy Guerrero aligned themselves together?
    - Who will Michael Hayes name as the third member of the Fabulous Freebirds?

Opening Segment. Mr McMahon seated at desk in NWA Board of Directors Office.

    vm.jpg

“I suppose you must all be wondering why Vincent Kennedy McMahon is appearing on NWA TV for the second week running. Well ladies and gentlemen the answer is simple. I’m here because I’m a protective man. I protect my assets and interests from anything or anyone that I fear my do harm unto them in any way.

Cast your minds back to 1996. I’m sure you all remember a company called WCW. They posed a threat to me, in fact they very nearly put me out of business altogether. And you all remember what happened then. I took them on, I chewed them up and I spit them out.

I look at the NWA and I see that same desire to suceed that I saw in WCW. I see hungry young talent, I see a growing fanbase and I see the Monday Night Wars happening all over again. But the problem is ladies and gentlemen, I’m an older man now and so much wiser in many ways. I did crush WCW in the 90’s but I’m not afraid to say it damn near killed me. So I’m not going to play all those silly games we played back then. I’ve already bought out number of the NWA ‘s shareholders and own a significant minority holding in this company. But as i said last week, I’m a control freak and I can’t bear to share power with anybody. So I’m here tonight with a very simple message for the NWA board:

Sign over the remaining shares in the NWA to me or the consequences will be dire.

We can do this the easy way or the hard way. Take the easy option and you all retire very rich, very happy men. But if you defy me, if you choose to fight me on this,I will not be helfd responsible for my actions. I will wage a war on the NWA the likes of which the world of professional westling has never been seen before. As you all might have guessed already I sent my son in law and heir to the WWE throne HHH to your last PPV and a warning shot was fired, a flexing of our muscles on our part so to speak. We spilled the blood of your greatest asset, your hero Ricky Steamboat and will have no hesitation in doing so again and again until we have decimated the NWA roster and reduced the company to mer rubble around our feet.

I expect an answer before the end of tonight’s broadcast. Think carefully about your next move.”

    Kota Ibushi Hype Video.

A hype video airs with the announcement “THE GREATEST HIGH FLYER IN THE WORLD IS COMING NEXT WEEK” The video shows clips of Kota Ibushi’s incredible high flying feats to whet the appetites of NWA fans for his debut next week. The internet has been abuzz with priase and hype for the young Japanese superstar and NWA is delighted to have signed him to a long-term contract.

    Announcement: Round Robin Challenge.

    NWAJunior1.jpg

    There has been an influx of incredible japanese talent into the NWA in recent weeks. In particular competition in the Junior Heavyweight division has never been stronger. As well as Tiger Mask, El Hijo de Santo and Konnan the NWA has also signed the following incredible talents;

    Katsuhiko Nakajima.
The protege of Kensuke Sasaki, Nakajima is like a nirror image of a young Sasaki. A hard hitting, no nonsense competitor, Nakajima is ready to make asplash in the NWA and prove that he is the top Junior Heavyweight in the company.

    Hiroshi Hase:
The experienced Hase is already a legend in Japanese wrestling and is a household name in the country having ben elected to the Japanese Senate in recent years. The list of opponents he has faced and beaten reads like a who’s who of Japanese stars, including Liger and Muta. American fans will be familiar with him from his incredible Tokyo Dome match in 1991 when he tagged with Kensuke Sasaki agaoinst the Steiner brothers in one of the all-time classics of tag wrestling. Hase is determined to cement his legendary status in the NWA and looks forward to putting some of the younger stars of the company back in their place.

Kota Ibushi: This internet sensation is perhaps the NWA’s boldest and most intriguing signing thus far. He is commonly regarded by those in the know as the greatest high flyer in the world today. He literally re-invents the conventional laws of physics every time he steps in the ring. NWA officials firmly believe that they have pulled off a major coup in signing the hottest free agent in n world wrestling from under the noses of WWE, New Japan, All Japan, Pro Wrestling NOAH and Dragon Gate. They feel he will make a similar impact as innovators such as Rey Mysterio and Sabu when they debuted in America in the 90’s. Ibushi himself has gone on record as saying that he intends to eclipse everyone else in the NWA with his dazzling repertoire of high flying moves and establish himslef as the greatest Junior Heavyweight in the world.

Having taken the words of these three thoroughbreds into account NWA officials have decided to hold a “Round Robin Challenge” over the next three weeks on NWA TV. These three wrestlers will face each other in one singles mtach per week and the wrestler with the most wins on the third week will be named the inaugural NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion!!!

The first match will take place right now!

Match Number 1: Hiroshi Hase Vs Katsuhiko Nakajima

Our opening match pits the brilliant mat work of the experienced technical wizard Hase against the hard-hitting Nakajima in a dream match for fans of Puro everywhere. Both men have been more than a little peeved by the hype surrounding the debut of Kota Ibushi next week and are determined to prove that they will not by eclipsed by the youngster in this tournament. The real beneficiaries are NWA fans who are treated to a classic Junior encounter, with numerous near falls and comebacks by both men. Eventually it is the experience of Hase that just wins out as he capatilises on a moments complacency by the younger man to catch him out with a schoolboy roll-up.

Winner: Hiroshi Hase in 12.30 mins.

Match number 2: Lex Luger (w/ International Alliance partner Nikita Koloff) Vs Repo Man

Clips are aired of events backstage last week where Luger, in a fit of rage over losing his match against Terry Gordy, attacked the defenceless Repo Man and drove him through a table.

This week Repo Man, who has languished in the mid card, hindered by a tired and dated gimmick attempts to avenge this attack. Initially Repo Man’s anger leads him to dominate the arrogant Luger, raking his eyes and stomping him to the gound to the delight of NWA fans who despise Luger for his dastardly alliance with the evil Russian Koloff. However constant distraction from the outside by Koloff leads to the unfortunate Repo succumbing to the vicious Torture Rack.

Winner: Lex Luger in 4.30 mins.

After the match Koloff enters the ring and continues the beatdown on Repo Man. For the second week running he is left humiliated, in a heap outside the ring as once again he is tossed through a ringside table, this time by both men.

Luger takes to the microphone and berates the NWA fans who have booed and cat-called him relentlessly since he made his way to the ring. He brands the locals in-breds and hicks and states that “its little wonder I turned my back on the USA when you toothless yokels are the all this damned country has to offer.” Nikita Koloff then takes to the mic and calls the International Alliance the finest tag team in the NWA and says all other teams are afraid to challenge this powerful superteam.

With this the Tag Team champions’Rock N’ Roll Express’ music hits to a massive ovation. Ricky Morton grabs the mic. If its competition you turncoats want, its competition you’ll get!” With that the bell is rung and our third match , a non-title bout is underway!

Match Number 3: International Alliance Vs Rock N’ Roll Express (Non Title Match)
    lex_luger_195.jpg
    Img87.png
    Vs
    autorocknrollcolor2.jpg

After an initial burst of energy from the champions, soon the larger, more physical Alliance takes control of the match. They isolate Gibson in the corner and work him over with stomps and stiff punches while the NWA crowd will him into a comeback. In classic Rock N’Roll Express style Gibson rallies with a sunset flip and rolls to the far side of the ring to get the hot tag to Morton. As Morton runs wild on the villians of the International Alliance, levelling them with dropkicks and top rope dives, however a hooded figure jumps over the guardrail and attacks the popular babyfaces, causing the bell to ring and the match to be declared a no contest!

    Match Result: No contest.

Confused by this sudden development, the crowd erupts into a chorus of boos, disgusted at the unwanted interference. In accordance with NWA rules, run ins are ucommon in the company and fans do not kindly to such dastardly tactics.

With that the strains of “Freebird” by Lynard Skynrd erupt from the arena’s loudspeakers and the Fabulous Free birds strut to ringside. Michael Hayes takes the microphone:

    PDVD_008.BMP

“Hey Ricky, Robert! Remember my promise last week!? Well without further ado, let me introduce to you the final piece in the puzzle, the third member of the Fabulous Freebirds. He’s a guy who’s made a career out of kicking your collective asses all over this country, the greatest tag team wrestler of all time, the lynch-pin of the Midnight Express and now a Fabulous Freebird.......BEAUTIFUL BOBBY EATON!!!!”

With that Eaton reveals his face to the shocked Rock N’ Roll Express, who seem stunned that their arch nemesis has come to the NWA and aligned himself with their sworn enemies. The newly formed threesome chase the faces from the ring and motion to their waists their desire to be the next tag team champions as once again thestrains of their anthemic theme tune “Freebird” fills the arena.

Interview Segment: “Charlar con Konnan.” Special Guest: El Hijo del Santo.

    santo.jpg

Konnan’s special guest this week is the Mexican icon El Hijo del Santo. Konnan is greeted warmly by the crowd, but Santo receives a massive ovation from the knowledgable fans of the NWA who appreciate the chance of seeing a living legend of the business in person. A little surprised by the scale of the ovation, Konnan begins by running down Santo’s incredible list of achievements in the sport and explaining to fans the importance of Santo and and his mask to the people of Mexico. El Hijo del Santo then takes the microphone and expresses how great an honour it is for him to finally wrestle in America and how he is looking forward to pitting his skills against the best that the NWA has to offer. Again the NWA fans rise to greet the superstar as Konnan translates his humble and genuine words.

However before he can finish, Konnan rudely shoves his popular compatriot and addresses the audience:

“You know you people make me sick. For the past 10 years I have come to America and sweated blood to impress you people. I’ve worked for every company in North America, WWE, WCW, ROH, TNA and everywhere I go I’m treated like a comedy guy, a clown, a guy who can churn out a funny catchphrase, or get some other guy over but nothing more than that. And yet this jabroni waltzes in from Tijuana, wrestles one match and you guys treat him like the Messiah! All my life I’ve lived in the shadow of you and your father Santo. When I was drawing 10,000 for AAA at the Azteca Arena, busting my ass in the ring, you were stealing all the headlines wth your B-Rate movies.

*Slowly starting to lose his cool*

“I remember when I was a kid starting out in the business and you were the superstar of lucha libre and I wrestled you in one of my first ever matches. You beat me easily and but I was just happy share to a dressing room with the great El Hijo del Santo, Son of the Saint. I asked you for your autograph that night and told you were my hero, but you didn’t even look me in the eye and thank me for the match I’d given you, you were too busy sucking up to the journalists so they’d give you a good write up in the local papers. And now fast forward 15 years, here I am the greatest pro-wrestling export that Mexico has ever produced, a star of TV and film in my own right, known at home as the “Hulk Hogan of lucha libre.” Yet here I stand STILL in your shadow, holding a microphone for you and translating for you like some bacstage lackey.

*Visibly upset and emotional now *

“Now I’ve had it with you people and your half hearted cheers and faint praise. And more to the point I’ve had it with being your b*tch Santo. This is Konnan’s time to shine, this is MY moment and you, or anyone else will NOT steal it away from me. So tonight, Konnan makes a statement. Not only am i going to win the #1 Contenders bout later this evening, but right now I’m going to do something i should have done a long long time ago in Mexico”

With that Konnan turns towards El Hijo del Santo and viciously strikes him with the microphone. Consumed by his jealousy, he sets upon his compatriot like a rabid dog, tearing his fabled mask into shreds and beating him repeatedly across the forehead with the microphone. It is not long before Santo’s face is concealed not by his famous silver mask, but by a crimson flow of blood from his forehead. The attack is only ended when NWA champion Eddy Guerrero rushes to the ring and restrains his crazed amigo, dragging him kicking and screaming backstage while he repeatedly screams into the microphone “This is my time, this is Konnan’s time!”

Backstage Segment. Repo Man Promo( sitting backstage , staring into a mirror)

    BARRY_DARSOW__AS_REPO_MAN_med.jpg

“For too long now I’ve languished aimlessly in the mid card of this company. Perhaps it was this lame gimmick, perhaps I’m not the man I used to be, but I’ve become a doormat for every bully in the NWA to walk all over. I’ve been humiliated and thrown through tables like a rag doll. Well that all ends here and now.

    *Throws off Repo Man mask*

“Luger, Koloff, I suppose I should thank you, because you’ve awoken something inside me that I’ve not felt for a very long time. A desire to kick some ass, to cause some destruction and anarchy. Its time to go back to basics, to where it all began. Its time to cause some DEMOLITION in the NWA.”

MAIN EVENT : Match Number 4. Elimination Match for the #1 Contendership to the NWA World Title. Konnan Vs Kensuke Sasaki Vs Tiger Mask Vs “Bam Bam” Terry Gordy

    konnan.jpg200px-KensukeSasaki.jpgTerry_Gordy.jpg12tigermask.jpg

Now we have our Main Event of the evening. World champion Eddy Guerrero has joined our commentary team to scout his opponent for NWA Fallout. The match is an elimination match. Competitors can be eliminated by pin-fall, submission, DQ or count out. The fan favourite in this one seems to be Tiger Mask who has endeared himself to the NWA fans after his incredible display in last week’s Main Event. Konnan, who still seems to have a crazed look in his eye is booed mercilessly by the crowd after his jealous atack on his compatriot El Hijo del Santo earlier.

Terry Gordy as a Freebird member is naturally jeered while Kensuke Sasaki is cheered when he makes a beeline for Gordy straight from the bell. Sasaki is still inscenced at Gordy’s interference in his first round match against his partner Micheal Hayes and wastes no time in punishing the super heavyweight with stiff strikes and chops to the chest. Indeed the animosity between these two men seems to increase as the match contiunues and fans delight in the intensity of their exchanges throughout.

The four men battle it out for well over 20 minutes without an elimination in a match highlighting perfectly the various styles on show in the NWA. Tiger Mask, the obvious underdog is at a distinct height and weight disadvatnage but makes light of his lack of size as he uses his speed to avoid his larger opponents and pick them off with well-timed aerial manoeuvers. Konann appears to have awoken a vicious side with his attack on Santo earlier and takes every opportunity to blindside his opponents with sneaky attacks from behind. Sasaki and Gordy cointinue to beat each other to a pulp at every opportunity.

Eventually the animosity between Sasaki and Gordy gets out of hand. After a gruelling five minute chop battle in the centre of the ring, in which neither man backs down and which eventually draws blood from both men’s chests, their brawl spills outside the ring. Consumed by their desire to prove himself the tougher man, the two continue to brawl all over the ringside arena, down the aisle and towards the backstage area. Incredibly they seem more hell bent on destroying each other than their original goal of becoming World Title contenders. Finally, the referee is left with no choice but to count both men out and reluctantly disqualify them from the bout. All the while the two behemoths continue to clash, disappearing behind the curtain locked in conflict like two angry bulls.

This leaves Tiger Mask and Konnan alone in the ring. Konnan continues to draw the ire of the crowd by resorting to nefarious tactics, raking the eyes of the Japanese superstar, pulling at his mask and constantly complaining to the referee. Tiger Mask however, seems inspired by the overwhelming support he is receiving from the paryisan crowd and refuses to lie down, kicking out again and again from Konnans arrsy of finishing manoeuvers. In true underdog style he launches a breathtaking comeback, stunning the Mexican with a flurry of stiff kicks and chops, dumping him squarley on his head with three Tiger suplexes in a row, before pulling off the seemingly impossible win with his reverse pledriver! The crowd reaction to the miraculous win is incredible as the fans rise as won to greet the underdog who has defied all the odds to defeat three larger man and advance to face Eddy Guerrero at NWA:Fallout!!!

Winner and #1 Contender to the NWA Title at Fallout: Tiger Mask!

    Guerrero
on commentary notes that the dream match that he and Tiger Mask will have at NWA:Fallout is sure to be on e of the greatest bouts in the history of professional wrestling. He praises the heart and passion of the Japanes star and joins the fans in the packed arena in standing and applauding as Sayama stands on the turmbuckles, pointing to Guerrero’s title belt and motioning to his waist.

    eddy_43896.jpg

    Closing Segment:

The show closes with all eyes on the big screens in the arena, as the audience awaits with baited breath the answer of the powers that be in the NWA to Vince Mc Mahon’s proposal.

The crowd gasps in amazement and their shock transforms into a massive ovation as the well-recognised face of billionaire Ted Turner appears on the screen!!! This is the first time in the history of the wresting business that Turner has appeared on-screen on a wrestling TV show!!!

    2008-04-04_095153-Treehugger-ted-turner.jpg

“Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Those of you who have followed wrestling for the past few decades will know that it is not in my nature to take part in the on-screen circus that is the world of professional wrestling. I have always been of the opinion that the entertainers should entertain, wrestlers should wrestle and business men like myself should stay in the background and do what they do best and thats business.

You all know of the part I played in the Monday Night War against Vince Mc Mahon. There are many things that occured during that period of my life that I regret. On more than one occasion I lied, and on several occasions I used what I can only describe as despicable tactics to gain the upper hand. Perhaps at the end of the day my losing out in that war was simple case of me getting what I deserved, Karma if you will. For many years afterwards I struggled with my conscience as I pondered how through my own arrogance, ego and greed I had very nearly caused the death of the entire wrestling industry, an industry that I love with all my heart.

So three years ago I had the opportinity to attone for my errors and sins. The National Wrestling Alliance undertook a project whereby they would restore honour to the sordid world of professional wrestling. They undertook to set up a company that would carry out its business in a dignified manner, a company that both fans and wrestkers alike could take deep pride. I had no hesitation in buying into this ideal, contrasting as it did with the sleazy, underhand business that I helped propogate in the mid-1990’s.

So the bottom line is this Vince Mc Mahon. It is I Ted Turner, your greatest rival who is the owner of the majority shareholding in the NWA. Without my shares, your quest for power in this company is futile.

If its an answer you want Vince, its answer you’ll get, but only on my terms.

After all, Vince, I’m the one holding all the aces.

So next week, LIVE on NWA TV, I will be at the Ted Turner arena IN PERSON, to give you your answer face to face!!!”

Screen fades to black, amidst the ecstatic cheers of the NWA faithful.......

    GCW Impact

    OPENING SEGMENT:

The show opens to a dark arena. All that can be heard is the crowd, when suddenly a spotlight lights up a sole figure, standing at the top of the entrance, beneath the Jumbotron. It’s Sgt. Slaughter, proudly holding an American Flag. Sarge walks down the aisle, and enters the ring, he turns, faces the jumbotron and salutes. Stars and Stripes starts to play as the an President’s seal appears onscreen. The seal and music fades as President George W Bush appears.

“My Fellow Americans …” he begins, because of the events at the previous ppv in the World Title Match, Kevin Nash’s win has come into doubt. It seems that there was some interference. So, in the interests of fairness, the title will be held up tonight, so a rematch can take place. Kevin Nash vs Batista, for the WHC title tonight. The crowd roars it’s approval. The Bush’s image fades back to the presidential seal, and Sarge finally lowers his salute.

As Sarge leaves the ring, the women’s tag team champs enter.

    MATCH

Bull Nakano takes the mic and roars at the audience in Japanese, nobody understanding a word, but reacting badly and booing her with venom. The challengers are announced and make their way to the ring. While they try to put on a good show, the Japanese Devils are far too much for them and, as they have done to so many already, pound them into the ring. The devils win.

    SEGMENT

We cut to an interview segment with Batista, where he is asked about his feelings about the rematch. He indicates he deserved the win last night, but he was unprepared for the interference. After the match he called an old friend to come in and help him out. If anybody can help him, surely it’s the dirtiest player in the game, (Camera pulls out to reveal:) Ric Flair, WOOOO.

Ric Flair lets us know that now he has Batista’s back the animal will be unstoppable.

    MATCH
Rellik is announced first, and is led to the ring on a chain leash by Goldust, as he has been for so many months. Upon entering the ring Goldust parades Rellik in front of the audience as if he were a prize pet. Owen Hart’s music plays, and he is accompanied to the ring by Jim Neidhart. Hart and Rellik go at it, trading moves and punches, with Goldust and the anvil watching on. Eventually Hart is able to get the sharpshooter onto Rellik and he is forced to submit. Hart and the anvil celebrate up the aisle. Goldust enters the ring and scolds Rellik, slapping him in the face several times, before attaching the chain to Rellik’s collar and leading him backstage.

    SEGMENT
Backstage Owen bumps into Kurt, who has the US title belt around his waist. They face off for a moment. The message clear, these two have unfinished business. But the moment passes and we cut back to the ring

    MATCH

A jobber already occupies ring space, Enter Sandman starts blaring, and the crowds start twisting and turning to see where The Sandman is entering from. The match is short, but enjoyable as Sman beats his opponent swiftly. He grabs a mic after the match and warns Neidhart that he doesn’t need help to beat him, and wants another chance to prove it. He also warns Slaughter that nobody interferes in his matches and gets away with ti.

    MAIN EVENT

Kevin Nash makes his way to the ring, with Sgt Slaughter and Kurt Angle by his side. The three stand in the ring facing the jumbotron, waiting for Batista to make his entrance. However the Hart Foundation music plays, and they come down the ramp. Owen, Anvil, Teddy, and Jack Evans. They face off against the Patriots for amount. Kurt grabs a mic, and explains that he had expected this, and he had a surprise of his own for owen. Owen looks back up the ramp, expecting someone else to appear … Kurt corrects him though … the surprise is right here in the ring … and with that Teddy Hart and Jack Evans cross the ring, making it clear that they are now with Angle’s team. Before anything else can happen Batista’s music plays. Accompanied by Ric Flair he makes his way to the ring. He’s ready for the match NOW, and forces everyone else out of the ring. With Flair, Owen, Anvil, Teddy & Jack, Angle, and Sarge at ringside the match begins.

Essentially a lumberjack match, it is a back and forth affair for most of the match, until finally Batista is thrown outside and pounced on by Sarge, with that tensions boil over and the a mass brawl ensues. The Brawl continues for several moments, until eventually we see a giant figure making his way to the ring.

It’s ANDRE! He climbs in, slamming, and chokeslamming anyone who gets in his way. While everyone else is either down or busy outside, Andre grabs both Nash and Batista by the neck, and double choke slams them. Flair rolls into the ring holding the title belt and hands it to Andre, then raises his hands as if he had just won the championship match. Fade to black.

Welcome To Episode 3 Of “Wrestlecade III Preview”

In this episode we will learn about how the remaining matches for Wrestlecade 3 came about.

We start of with the 8 man tournament being held each week on Tuesday Night Cooked leading to the finals where the first JWA US-TV Champion will be crowned. The draw for the tournament is as follows:

    Ultimo Dragon v Dragon Kid
    Shane Douglas v Great Sasuke
    Mike Rotunda v Great Muta
Jushin Liger v 2 Cold Scorpio

The first match pitted master against pupil, where in a tight battle where each seemingly knew what the other would do and find a counter for it, Ultimo Dragon picked up the win showing he didn't teach Kid everything he knows just yet.

Before the second match Douglas cut a promo talking about how he ruled in the land of extreme and in the JWA no one would be tough enough to handle him. A tight battle of speed vs strength looked to be heading in Shane's direction with him attacking the knee when an empty wheelchair rolled down the ramp towards the ring, distracting him long enough to allow The Great Sasuke to roll him up for the win.

While not having everything his own way, Muta advanced in the tournament with possibly the easiest win in the opening round over Rotunda, who was obviously struggling to adapt to singles competition after competing in the tag division for so long.

The final match of the opening round was a high flying masterpiece that had the crowd roaring in approval. While Liger got the pin both men stood in the ring afterwords with their arms aloft as the crowd gave a standing ovation.

The first semi final was Ultimo Dragon v The Great Sasuke. The two looked determined to outdo the Liger/Scorpio match when Sasuke's knee injury came back to haunt him, giving Ultimo Dragon the upper hand and eventually the win.

In the second semi was perhaps the two favourites for the tournament, Muta v Liger, and both men held nothing back and battled as if it were the final. After a bruising 20 minutes that began technical but ended in an outright brawl Liger ended up with the win but at what cost?

So there we have it. The final will be between Ultimo Dragon and Jushin Liger.

After his loss in the tournament Rotunda challenged Tag Champions The Von Erichs for the title. He claimed that he deserved first shot at the belt he lost at the previous PPV and while his former partner Ted DiBiase was otherwise engaged he'd find a suitable partner come Wrestlecade 3. The brothers agreed to the match and told him that if he couldn't find a partner the match would go ahead as a handicap match. Just this week it was revealed his partner would be none other than former 5 time World Tag Team Champion Buff Bagwell.

Shane Douglas swore revenge on whoever cost him his chance at tournament glory. After weeks of distractions he learned that it was a recovered Hayabusa, who could walk and compete again, much to the delight of the knowledgeable fans. He chose Shane because he wanted to prove he still had it against the guy that ruled ECW in a No Disqualifications bout at Wrestlecade 3 which Shane accepted immediately, and he promised to cripple him once more for ruining the tournament for him.

It was also announced by GM Jim Cornette that Wrestlecade 3 will kick off with a 4 way elimination match to decide the first number 1 contender for whoever wins the tournament. In the match will be The Great Muta, The Great Sasuke, 2 Cold Scorpio and a mystery opponent who wont be revealed until the PPV.

So there we have it, the card is finalised and looks like this:

Cage Match for the JWA World Heavyweight Championship
Nick Bockwinkel vs The Masked Matador

The Undertaker w/Barack Obama v Ted DiBiase w/Virgil

Tournament Final To Crown First JWA US-TV Champion

    Jushin Liger v Ultimo Dragon

    World Tag Team Titles
Von Erichs v Mike Rotunda & Buff Bagwell

    No Disqualification
    Shane Douglas v Hayabusa

4 Way Elimination For The Right To Become JWA US-TV No. 1 Contender
The Great Muta v 2 Cold Scorpio v The Great Sasuke v ???????????

Another BWA.com exclusive as we bring you a special online edition of Carlito's Cabana filmed in Atlanta Georgia, at the very last BWA house show in America before returning to England for BWA:Awakening.
    brand.gif

    (Carlito's Cabana)
Carlito hosts the BWA's first Bikini contest
    wwe-carlito.jpg

Carlito says how good it is to have his show back to being his own and not just an excuse to wheel out the newest member of the ever impressive BWA roster, and how he intends to remind everyone just how much fun his Cabana used to be starting right here tonight with a bikini contest between his beautiful girlfriend Trish Stratus and Atlanta's own Lita!

    trish_stratus_03.jpg......wwe+lita.jpg

After the crowd raction dies down Carlito introduces Trish Stratus first, accompanied to the ring by his friend Eric Perez and the Lita accompaied by Matt Hardy. He then relays the rules of the contest, each women will take it in turn to disrobe and model their bikini's for the crowd, she who gets the biggest crowd reaction will be the winner.

Trish takes the mic and says that this Sunday she will prove she's the best female wrestler in the BWA but tonight she will prove that she is the sexiest women in the BWA also...before removing her robe and puting a huge smile on Carlito's face with her modelling.

Lita retortes by stating to Trish that that little routine may get the canuck lumberjacks goin but that she thinks the good people of Atlanta (cheap pop) have better taste than that before performing her own piece of bikini modelling for her hometown crowd from whom she clearly gets the biggest reaction from.

Carlito states that it is a very tough descision but that he thinks everyone will agree that the winner was...Trish Stratus she begins celebrating as the crowd show their disaproval by booing. another person who disagrees is Matt Hardy who grabs he mic from Carlito, he signals for quiet fromthe crowd but instead of verbally assaulting Carlito over his decision when the booing subsides he instead just calmly turns to Lita and asks are you ready, she replies yes. The second she does he turns and hits Carlito right between the eyes with the microphone. Before Trish or Perez can react both Matt & Lita deliver kicks to their stomach's which sets them up for the dual Twist's of fate that follow.

with Trish, Carlito & Eric Perez all lying in the ring Matt Hardy picks back up the mic and makes a quick statement. He says that he didnt leave his broter and his title behind in the development territories (FWE) to listen to the Garbage spewed on this Cabana every week, that he was here to make an impact starting at Awkening where he challanges Eric Perez to face him as he is the only one of their sorry excuse for a group not already booked in a title match at the PPV all of which he suggests they will lose.

ESPN and Sky Sports News have also been showing the following press conference from Muhammad Ali all day, where he rebuked a number of former wrestling and Boxing star's claims that he has bitten off more than he can chew, taking on someone like Sammartino in his very first professional wresting bout.

NWA TV Report Week 3 15.03.09

    NWA_LOGO_A_0562.jpg

    This week on NWA TV:

    - The eyes of the world will be watching as history will be made tonight, LIVE on NWA TV. For the first time in the history of our great business, the two billionaires who battled for the control of the wrestling world in the 90’s come face to face for the first time!!! The entire future of the NWA is at stake as Ted Turner comes to the NWA to give Mr McMahon his answer in person. Will Turner sign over the NWA and complete the evil McMahon’s stranglehold on the world of pro wrestling?

    - Last week Japanese Icon Tiger Mask secured the Number 1 contendership for the NWA Title. This week, we have the contract signing for NWA Fallout where he will challenge Eddy Guerrero for the coveted belt in what promises to be a dream match for the ages!

    - The Number One contendership for the NWA Tag Titles could be decided as the Fabulous Freebirds have an opportunity to clinch their third consecutive win in a row and with it a title shot at fallout. Will newest recruit and tag team specialist “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton be the difference maker?

    - The violence and tension between New Japan’s IWGP heavyweight Champion Kensuke Sasaki and Freebird “Bam Bam” Terry Gordy that has been coming to boiling point for weeks shows no sign of abating. Last week matters took a turn for the worse as both men went so far as to sacrifice a shot at the NWA Title in order to beat each other to a pulp. This week, Gordy has the opportunity to send a message to Sasaki as he takes on his young protégé Katsuhiko Nakajima in singles action!

    - Having been humiliated by the International Alliance for the past number of weeks, last week saw an apparent change in attitude for Barry Darsow. Having shed the Repo Man gimmick, Darsow is now demanding respect and plans to beat it into of Alliance member Nikita Koloff in singles action tonight. What type of “Demolition” does Darsow have in store for Koloff?

    - Our round Robin Challenge for the new NWA Junior Heavyweight title continues apace as the massively-hyped Japanese superstar Kota Ibushi makes his US debut tonight!

    - The people of Mexico have been aghast for the past seven days at the actions of Konnan last week. Consumed by his jealousy for Mexican Icon El Hijo del Santo, Konnan left his compatriot blooided and his mask torn to shreds in an unprovoked assault. Inches of newspaper columns and TV News stories in Mexico have been filled with this shocking news. Fans have been demanding that this issue be settled in the ring at NWA Fallout in a first time ever match up!! Expect an announcement tonight!

    Earlier Today:
A limousine is shown pulling up to the Ted Turner Arena. Vince McMahon, owner of WWE and possibly the man who runs the NWA by the end of tonight is seen emerging. He is accompanied by his heir apparent and son-in-law HHH, appearing on NWA TV for thye first time since his heinous attack on Ricky Steamboat at NWA Breakout.

Opening Segment: Contract Signing for the NWA World Heavyweight Title:

Both participants in the Main Event at NWA Fallout are introduced to the ring. Both wrestlers are firm fan favourites and receive a tumultuous ovation to the ring. Tiger Mask in particular has caught the imagination of NWA fans since his debut, consistently having the best match of the night on NWA TV and showing that he thrives as an underdog and in adversity. The internet has been abuzz for the past week with hype for this match at Fallout. Internet fans have been speculating that this match will easily be Match of the Year in any wrestling promotion. Both these wrestlers have a stryle that complements the other perfrctly. Guerrero's greatest matches have come againts smaller, high flying opponents, while Tiger Mask has always excelled in matches against agile light heavyweights like Guerrero.

Respected journalist Dave Meltzer had this to say when discussing the match a few days previously:

"Guerrero/Tiger mask promises to be a match for the ages and I expect nothing less than 5 stars from these tremendous competitors. Before the match even takes place I have it nailed on as my Match of the Year! In fact, at the moment the NWA is the hottest property in professional wrestling, with the Ted Turner/Vince McMahon storyline grabing mainstream news headlines across the world, incredible pure wrestling matches like Guerrero/Tiger Mask, the finest tag division on North America, the lucha libre feud of the decade between Konnan and El Hijo del Santo and well-written, old fashioned simple to understand storylines. If you haven't tuned in yet, you're missing out."

Prior to signing the contract, Guerrero takes to the microphone. he expresses his admiration for Tiger Mask and says that he has set the bar higher than ever in the NWA. He says that Tiger Mask has inspired him to train harder than ever before and made him even more determined to put on a spectacular match at NWA Fallout. He offers his hand in mutual sign of respect to the Japanese superstar. Sayama gratefully accepts and the two men embrace in the ring. With the cheers and applause of the NWA faithful ringing in their ears, both incredible atheletes sign the contract and our Title match for NWA Fallout is officially set an match that will undoubtedly be based on mutual respect between two on the finest athletes on the planet!

Match Number 1. NWA Junior Heavyweight Title Round Robin Challenge, Match #2. Kota Ibushi Vs Hiroshi Hase

    ibushine0.jpg04.jpg

The second match up in our unique Junior Title series pits the debuting Kota Ibushi against wily mat wrestler and New Japan legend Hiroshi Hase. the debut of the spectacular Ibushi has been hyped and built for weeks with tantalising hype vidoes and clips of his amazing skills. Finally NWA fans have the chance to see this most spectacular of high flyers live and in operson and he certainly does not disappoint on his debut! Ibushi seems determoined that his US debut live long in the memory as he goes all out to impress right from the bell. he draws gasps from the audience as he sprinboards effortlesly from the top rope onto his opponent, outside the ring he uses the guardrail to springboard into a moonsault into the crowd, back inside the ring he employs standing moonsaults, a standing 630 degree pheonix splash and even has the audacity to double moonsault after hase rolls out of the way of a conventional moonsault. Indeed Hase appear the perfcet opponent for ibushi to display his incredible skilss and proves a worthy ally, pushing the youngster all the way, countering many of his most spectacular moves, having obviously scouted his work beforehand. Eventually however Ibushi is able to take the win with a springboard pheonix splash. After the match he receives a standing ovation from the capacity crowd and it appears as if the NWA has yet another hot talent on their hands.

Winner: Kota Ibushi in 9.37 minutes by Pinfall.

    Backstage Segment:
Former Repo Man Barry Darsow is shown backstage sitting at a mirror, slowly applying facepaint like a warrior about to embark onto the battlefield.

Match Number 2. "Bam Bam" Terry Gordy(w/ Michael Hayes and Bobby Eaton) Vs Katsuhiko Nakajima

    Terry_Gordy.jpg200px-Katsuhiko_Nakajima.JPG

This match up stems from the increasingly violent feud that has simmered between Gordy and IWGP Heavyweight champion Kensuke Sasaki. Word has it that Sasaki has warned Nakajima not to return backstage until he has inflicted as much pain as is physically possible on Gordy. The fiery young Japanese star starts off determined to impress his mentor as he lights up Gordy's face and chest with his trademark stiff kicks, chops and punches. As has often been commented upon, his no-nonsense style is reminiscent of a younger, but no less effective version of Sasaki himself. However, Gordy soon gains the upper hand on his noticeably smaller opponent, trapping him in the corner and bringing him to his knees with his trademark pnches to the face and body. The plucky Nakajima relentlessly comes back again and again, determined that his mentor's honour be upheld. However he is no match fro the giant super-heavyweight who shows no mercy whatsoever in beating him down again and again.

It is not long before the outcome of the bout is beyond a doubt, but it seems that Gordy has no interest in ending the fight there. He ties Nakajima up in the ropes and blasts him repeatedly with chops to the chest. Despite the pleading of the referee to end the match, Gordy strikes him again and again drawing blood from his chest, until finally Sasaki emerges from the backstage area to rescue his protege! However his route to the ring is blocked by the other Fabulous Freebirds who circle the ring like vultures, preventing the irate Sasaki from making the save. Michael Hayes takes to the microphone, the brains and voice behind the loathsome group as ever:

"You can rant and rave all you like Mr Sasaki, but it ain't gona do you no good whatsoever. Just like we always do, the Fabulous Freebirds have the numbers on ya baby! I realise that you Asian boys are all about honour and respect and that may be well and good in China or Singapore, or whatever rat infested backwater you came from, but over here, you play by OUR rules and the Freebirds couldn't give a rat's ass about honour and repect. So I'm gonna say this nice and clearly, nice and slow, 'cos I realise you ain't got much English swimmin' around that thick head of yours. The only thing we honour and respect about you is the title belt you hold. So its like this boy, you either put that IWGP title on the line at Fallout against Brother Terry, or your little buddy there in the ring ain't gonna walk outa this arena, he's gonna be poured out. Show him Terry."

With that Gordy viciously attacks the defenceless Nakajima, blasting him with a flurry of punches and chops as his head rolls back sickeningly at their sheer force. Distraught, Sasaki again tries to save his young friend, but again Hayes and Eaton repel his best efforts. Eventually he has no choice but to accede to the demands of the bullies and signals that Gordy can have his title match at Fallout. Delighted that his demands have been met, Gordy tosses Nakajima like a rag doll out of the ring, where Sasaki picks him up and carries him backstage, tears of fury and concern burning at his eyes.

Match Number 3: Barry Darsow Vs Nikita Koloff (w/ Lex Luger)

    180px-Demolition-Smash.jpg

Koloff and Luger are first out to the ring, the boos of the NWA faithful ringing as ever in their ears. Darsow is out next, but the audience is surprised and delighted to see that he has a brand new look for the occasion. Gone is the lame Repo Man gimmick, gone are the silly catchphrases and lame comedy, and in its place is Darsow's old Demolition gimmick, complete with facepaint. He is announed as Barry Darsow initially but he then interrupts and grabs the microphone:

"The days of Barry Darsow slumming it in the mid card are over, the days of Repo man getting his ass kicked by these two knuckleheads are gone. I promised you people a new outlook and by God you're going to get it. So from now on, you can call me Smash, and Nikita Koloff, you're first in line for a smashin'! Ring the goddamn bell!"

The crowd reacts with delight at the return of a gimmick that was always a crowd favourite. Smash lives up to his name, taking the fight to Koloff right from the bell. Despite the best efforts of the evil Russian and despite the best efforts of Luger on the outside to distract the referee, Smash is not to be denied on his return to thr ring and he takes the three count with a scoop slam, followed by a throat first flapjack onto the top rope.

Match Winner: Smash by Pinfall after 7.58 minutes

Having exerted a modicum of revenge on the men who have tormented him for the past few weeks, Smash prepares to accept the adulation of the capacity crowd. Before he can, however, the jealous International Alliance proceed to beat him down yet again. Despite a valiant resistance, he is once again left laying in the ring as first Luger locks in the Torture Rack and then Koloff locks on the bearhug.

Match Number 4: The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes and "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) Vs Tiger Mask and El Hijo del Santo

    TheFabulousFreebirds.jpg

    VS

    12tigermask.jpgEl_Hijo_Del_Santo_514234a.jpg

This match sees the Freebirds attempt to win the Number 1 contendorship for the NWA tag Titles. According to NWA rules any team that wins three tag matches in succession is entitle to a shot at the titles. The Freebirds are currently sitting on 2 wins and victory tonight will guarantee them a title match at NWA Fallout. The wily Michael Hayes has invoked a clause he inserted in the Freebirds' contract when they initially signed with the company. In keeping with the old "Freebird rules" that the group had employed elsewhere, Hayes has ensured that any duo from their three members can represent the group in tag team competetion and if they do manage to win the tag titles i the future, any two members can defend them. The NWA board is not best pleased at this clause which gives the Freebirds a distinct advantage over their opponents and has put the strongest possible team in their way to ensure that Hayes' dastardly scheme does not become a reality. El Hijo del Santo and Tiger Mask are a dream paring for fans all and by paring them the NWA is creating an interesting piece of wrestling history. Certainly the Freebirds will have their work cut out in defeating these world famous superstars.

The early part of the match sees some unusual behaviour on the part of El Hijo del Santo. He seems reluctant to spend any great amount of time in the ring and tags in Tiger Mask at every opportunity. The match proceeds with Tiger Mask doing much of the wrestling, with Santo a spectator on the ring apron for the majority of the time. The crowd seems confused by the behaviour of their Mexican idol who has forged a worldwide reputation as a fearless, honourable wrestler, unwilling to back down from any fight. Essentially, Tiger mask is forced to wrestle a handicap match and soon, the Freebirds begin to double team and dominate him expertly, cuttting off the ring like the experienced tag team technicians they are. At one stage Tiger Mask escapes the clutches of the freebirds and dives in desperation his teammates corner, reaching in obvious pain for the tag to save himself. Santo however simply stands on the ring apron and ignores his teammate, making no effort at entering the match. With his teammate seemingly unwilling to defend him, it is not long before Tiger Mask is defeated and the Freebirds disappear backstage ever the opportunists, naturally delighted at picking up such an unexpectedly easy win.

Winners and #1 Contenders for the NWA Tag Titles The Fabulous Freebirds in 15.23 mins

Back in the ring, both the crowd and Tiger Mask are confused and disgusted by the uncharacteristic behaviour of El Hijo del Santo. What would motivate such a normally honourable man to behave in such a cowardly manner towards a man he has no problem with? Naturally enraged, Tiger Mask shoves Santo, demanding to know what he could have been thinking.

All becomes clear however, as El Hijo del Santo removes his famous mask, revealing not the lucha libre legend, but Tiger Mask's opponent at NWA Fallout, Eddy Guerrero!!!! With the outraged boos of the NWA faithful ringing in his ears, Guerrero takes the microphone in hand, a familiar sly, conniving smile on his face:

    eddie_guerrero.jpg

"Guess what man, I LIIIEEEED!!!! Tiger Mask, Holmes, did you really believe my little act earlier tonight? All that crap about how honoured I am to face you, how impressed I am with you? You must be as stupid as that mask you wear, holmes! I'm Eddy Gory Guerrero, I lie and I cheat my way through life, I get by in any way that I have to. Let this be a lesson to you Tiger Mask, never, EVER trust a Guerrero.

You see Sayama, I'm everything that you are not. You forget that when I wrestled in Japan, I went by the name Black Tiger, because the Japanese people could see just what type of man I really was. We're polar opposites in just about every way possible. You're a man who prides himself on purity of heart, of honour and decency. But me? My heart is as black as coal and as cold as the hand of death. At NWA Fallout, you're not wrestling any ordinary man, you're wrestling a man who'll go to whatever lengths he has to to keep that NWA world title. I would lie cheat and steal from my own mother if it meant keeping that title, so you can only imagaine what I'm going to do to you holmes!"

With that, Guerrero sneakily kicks Tiger Mask in the groin and hits him with a Frog Slash from the top rope. Kneeling beside his foe with an evil look on his face, he screams into the microphone, addressing the fans in attendance "Oh, and if you want to know where El Santo has gotten to, you might want to take a look at the big screen, my hombre Konnan has a little message for you all!"

Backstage Segment: Konnan stands over an unconscious El Hijo del Santo.

Segment is aired around the live arena on the big screens.

    konnan.jpg

"Finally the world is watching Konnan! Finally people are realising that Konnan isn't just a funny catchphrase or a joke. FINALLY the American people are taking me seriously. I may have had to resort to extreme violence but now everyone wants to hear what Konnan has to say. Well what Konnan has to say is simple. I am sick and tired of living in the shadows, of being underappreciated and holding the microphone for the likes of the man who lies helpless at my feet. Now is MY time to shine and my time to make history.

And speaking of making history, at NWA Fallout, the rejuvenation of Konnan will be complete. At NWA Fallout I challenge this man to the oldest match in the lucha libre tradition. 2 out of 3 falls, Mascara contra Caballero, Mask Vs Hair. I want the mask of Santo, for if I take the mask of Santo, Konnan will never live in the shadows again!"

    Backstage Segment: Ted Turner
arrives to the arena in his limousine and walks purposefully into the building. Turner is set to appear live on NWA TV for the first time in history later tonight!!!

    Backstage Segment. Smash is backstage.
He cuts an intense promo directly into camera. “Looks like the International Alliance is playing the numbers game yet again. Its time for me to make a call I should have made a long long time ago. Its time I brought in some back up from the old Demolition yard…”

Match Number 5. Main Event: Non Title Match Rock n Roll Express (NWA World Tag team Champions) Vs Eddy Guerrero (NWA World Champion) and Konnan

    autorocknrollcolor2.jpg

NWA officials have fixed this main event as punishment for the actions of Guerrero and Konnan earlier tonight and in response to requests from the Rock N’ Roll Express for a match up against the very best opposition possible as a warm up for their title defence at Fallout. The match itself is a fast paced, high flying encounter, with the initiative switching back and forth between both incredibly talented duos. Morton and Gibson are the clear crowd favourites, with Guerrero and Konnan in particular incurring the wrath of the live crowd for their despicable attacks on Tiger Mask and El Hijo del Santo earlier tonight. Konnan’s influence over Guerrero is profound and we are left in no doubt that he is a dramatically changed man from the wrestler who so emotionally claimed the NWA title at NWA Breakout. Gone is the happy smile, the humorous playing up to the crowd and in its place a sly conniving Guerrero, bending the rules at every opportunity, switching places in the ring with Konnan behind the behind the referee’s back and generally testing his patience by refusing to obey rope breaks. It is obvious to all in attendance that the turning point in this change in attitude on Guerrero’s part was the formation of his alliance with the deranged Konnan.

The finish of the match is ruined due to interference by the dastardly Fabulous Freebirds who waste no time in softening up the Tag champs in advance of their huge title match at Fallout. For several minutes the popular duo are outnumbered 5 on 2 as Konnan and Guerrero gleefully join the Freebirds in attacking the tag champs. The save is made to a massive pop from the crowd as the furious Tiger Mask and the equally irate Kensuke Sasaki rush to ringside and rescue the fallen champs. With the Freebirds and the Mexican duo on the outside, Tiger Mask, Sasaki, Morton and Gibson bring the crowd to their feet with a series of spectacular dives from the ring onto their enemies on the floor, each dive more death defying than the last! With the heels scattered in disarray at ringside, they beat a hasty retreat to the back and the faces return to the ring to the acclaim of the crowd. As each week passes before NWA Fallout, matters are becoming more and more intense in the NWA and tensions are running at an all-time high!

Result: No Contest after 19.30 minutes.

In immediate response to the chaotic brawl we have just witnessed, NWA officials have signed a massive 10 man tag match for next weeks final TV show before NWA Fallout. It will be The Fabulous Freebirds/Konnan and NWA Champion Eddy Guerrero vs Tag Team Champions The Rock N’ Roll Express/Kensuke Sasaki/ Tiger Mask and El Hijo del Santo! This promises to be the biggest, most hate-filled slug-fest in NWA TV history, intertwined as it is with several rivalries that will ultimately be settled at NWA Fallout!

Closing Segment. Mc Mahon and Turner meet face to face!

Our closing sequence begins as Vince Mc Mahon makes his way to the ring, drawing the ire of the NWA faithful with his cocky smile and familiar, over the top swagger. Wasting little time he takes the microphone in hand.

    520x.jpg

“Before we get down to the real business of the evening, I think it is only appropriate that I personally introduce to the ring a man that has been more of a son to me than my own flesh and blood, a man that is the epitome of what a professional wrestler should be, a man who one day soon will inherit the world of professional wrestling from myself and the man who at my bidding ended the career of your fallen hero Ricky Steamboat at NWA Breakout. Ladies and gentlemen, please show your adoration and appreciation for the Game, the King of Kings, HHH!!!”

    HHH
slowly strolls to the ring, his trusty sledgehammer casually leaning on his shoulder in an obvious reference to his attack on Steamboat at the last NWA PPV. The crowd is near to the point of riot at this stage, incensed that Helmsley would have the nerve to show his face in the NWA again after his appalling act only a few short weeks ago. Taking the microphone he has some mocking words for the fans of the NWA:

“You inbred Southern hicks can flap your gums and cuss and holler all you like, not one of you is man enough to get into this ring and back his words up. You see, that’s the difference between people like you, and people like Vince McMahon and I. People like myself and Vince are go-getters. What we set out to do in life, we invariably get done. What we want we take, just like we’re about to take control of the NWA. If an obstacle stands in our path, we take it out no questions asked, just like we eliminated your hero Ricky Steamboat at NWA Breakout. People like you however, well you people just sit in your trailer all day guzzling cheap beer and moaning about how the world’s been so cruel to you, how its not your fault you married your cross eyed sister and its not your fault your rotten kids are even uglier than you are, even if they did inherit their mommas one good eye! And that’s why I’m only too happy to stand here tonight and laugh my ass off as Vince makes history yet again and takes your beloved NWA and crushes it in your own backyard.

In fact before the serious business of the night begins, I brought along a little videotape from Monday Night RAW this week which I’m sure you will find equally as hilarious as I did. Roll the footage!”

A video tape from WWE Monday Night RAW this past week airs on the big screen around the arena. The footage shows Mc Mahon and HHH in the ring openly mocking Ted Turner similar to the way he mocked him years ago during the Monday Night Wars. A midget is brought to the ring dressed up as Turner. Turner is depicted as a geriatric Southern drunken buffoon and Helmsley and McMaho mock him over his failed marriages and the fact that Mc Mahon put him out of business. The tastless charade ends with McMahon forcing the midget to join the Kiss my Ass Club, amidst howls or derision from the NWA crowd who are used to a more wrestling-oriented TV show than the puerile, sophomoric, self-indulgent humour of McMahon and his WWE product.

McMahon and Helmsley’s howls of laughter back in the NWA ring are interrupted suddenly as Ted Turner emerges from backstage, a microphone in hand. Judging by his grim expression and determined stride, he means business.

    ted_turner.jpg

    Turner enters the ring and comes face to face with Vincent Kennedy McMahon for the first time in history on a wrestling TV broadcast. History is indeed being made before our very eyes!. The atmosphere tingles with electricity and the tension hangs thickly in the air as Turner speaks;

“Vincent Kennedy Mc Mahon. I wish I could say it’s a pleasure to finally make your direct acquaintance, but then I’d be lying and that’s one thing I don’t do anymore.

Cast your mind back to 1988, Vince. A young hungry Ted Turner had just purchased the flagging Jim Crockett Promotion, the company that I would later transform into WCW. In my enthusiasm and in my incredible naivety, I remember calling you on the day I sealed the deal. I remembered how your father Vince Mc Mahon Snr had co operated with the territories back when he ran the WWF and I figured that you and I could do the same, that there was room at the top of the business for more than one ambitious millionaire. Alas, being nothing like the gentleman your father was, you slammed the phone down on me and left me in no doubt that you considered me a rival and an enemy. On that day you drew a line in the sand and you defined our relationship as one based on hatred, disrespect and one-upmanship ever since.

Now here we are Vince, 20 long years have passed. I can’t speak for you, but I’m an older wiser man than the one who did his damndest to run you off the airwaves back in the 90’s. We both know that I came within inches of putting you out of business forever and many of the things I did back then I’m not proud of. Last week you said that you’re too old to wage another war and perhaps for the first time in my life I agree with you. This time Vince, things are going to be different. Not you understand because I want them to be, but because for all our sakes they HAVE to be.

*The crowd reacts with a sharp intake of breath to Turner's words and a cocky arrogant smile spreads across the face of Mc mahon.

“Well Ted, I’m glad and not a little surprised that you agree with me. Its good to see that in your old age you’ve finally learned some sense and learned your place in the world. I’m sure our solicitors can come to a swift agreement over this shareholding and we can all put this sorry mess behind us. You can retire to your ranch a rich and happy man and Vincent Kennedy Mc Mahon can continue his domination of the wrestling universe!

    *Turner interrupts

“I think you misunderstand me Vince. When I say things will be different this time, what I mean is there’s no chance in hell, to quote your own theme tune that I’m losing out to you again!

Lets face facts for once and for all Vince. I don’t believe for one minute you consider the NWA a threat to your control of the wrestling industry, nor do I belive that you think controlling the NWA will help you achieve that aim. No, Vince, what this invasion is about is simple, its about Ted Turner and Vince McMahon. For years you’ve been obsessed with me, despite the fact that our differences have long since been settled. Not content with winning the Monday Night War, I still hear you interviewed a decade later and you still insist on dragging my name through the mud. Ten long years since you bought me out of WCW, you’re still paranoid and still bitter that I had the temerity to challenge you and stand up to your dominance. And for years now I have held my peace. I have risen above the silly skits on RAW, the sideways barbs in interviews and in short I’ve turned the other cheek. I swore I would never demean my self or my family like you have done and made myself an on-air pawn in a silly ratings war that got way out of hand.

That was however until now Vince. For now you’ve strutted into my home town, into MY arena, I front of MY people, you’ve tried to ruin my PPV and you have the sheer gall and arrogance to think that Ted turner would just lie down and be your doormat.

You leave me with no choice in the matter, Vince. If it’s a war you want, by God it’s a war you will get. But remember this and remember it well Vince: You beat me once fair and square, but Ted Turner has never, or never will be beaten a second time!”

*Slaps Vince across the face amidst a collective intake of breath from the audience, followed a millisecond later by an insanely loud pop!

The audience’s joy is short-lived however. HHH, who has been prowling in the background throughout grabs Turner from behind and sets him up for the Pedigree. Just as he is about to drive the older man to head first to the canvas and surely cripple him for life however, the crowd erupts in a massive ovation as Ricky Steamboat’s familiar theme tune fills the arena! Steamboat rushes the ring, armed like HHH with a sledgehammer, the very weapon that has sidelined him for several weeks! Mc Mahon and HHH scatter from the ring, shocked that the man they thought they had put out of action permanently has returned.

    2009012209553581.jpg

As the screen fades to black to end the show, Steamboat and Turner triumphantly stand tall in the ring, holding each others hands aloft, as the audience raises the roof with huge chants of "NWA" and "Welcome Back!!!”

    GCW Impact

    Opening Segment:

Ric Flair is in the ring with his client, Andre The Giant, who has the World Heavy Weight title on his shoulder. The crowd boo them roundly. Flair explains that as Andre is in possession of the belt he is declaring himself the new champion, he is the man. WOOOOOO.

But Kevin Nash interrupts, making his way down the aisle (accompanied by Sgt Slaughter, Teddy Hart, and Jack Evans) he explains that as his hand was raised at the last ppv he should be recognised as the champion. Nash enters the ring, and faces off with Andre, as Sarge circles around them.

All of a sudden a rake of fire works goes off, and out walks Batista. The crowd goes crazy for him. The animal reminds Nash that the board of directors held up the title because of interference, and tells Andre and Flair that possession means nothing. Batista is the only true champion, and by the end of the next ppv, the title will be in his hands.

    MATCH

The Devils of Japan (women’s tag champs) make their way to the ring to square up against a womens tag team. Bull and Dump make short work of their opponents, subjecting them to a brutal offence, continuing it after the bell sounds. After the match Bull (holding both her tag championship belt, and women’s championship belt) takes a mic and complains about the lack of opposition in the promotion. Since winning the belts 4 months ago they have faced and defeated every woman of substance there is.

But as she speaks we see a pair of women emerge from the crowd ….. it’s singing sensations and former champions Lioness Asuka and Chigusa Nagay … aka The Crush Gals. The gals hit the ring and attack the devils, seeking revenge for the injuries they cause 4 months ago in their last match. Bull and Dump retreat up the ramp, while Lioness and Nagay mount the turnbuckles to the cheers of their supporters.

We are told the Main event will feature Kurt Angle and the Patriot Foundation (Teddy Hart and Jack Evans) against Owen Hart, and two partners.

    SEGMENT

The trio then run down the last two members of the Hart foundation, telling how they will beat Owen, Jim, and who ever their mystery partner is.

    MATCH

Goldust and Sargent Slaugther face off in the second of tonights matches. Goldust makes his way, bringing Rellik down with him on a leash. As Goldust enters the ring he ties Rellik to the ring post, strokes his face, and tells him to stay. Rellik sits on the ring steps.

Sarge makes his way to the ring carrying an American flag. He sneers at Rellik as he makes his way into the ring, setting the flag up on top of the ring post opposite Rellik.

Dust and Sarge have a terrific brawl, each giving it their best. During the match Sandman strolls down to the ring, sipping a beer, and carrying a kendo stick. Sandman joins the commentary team and proceeds to trash Slaughter. Sarge isn’t pleased having Sandman at the commentary desk and tries to keep one eye on him. However, Goldust takes advantage of the distraction and clobbers Sarge, then hitting the Shattered Dreams, dustin pins sarge for the win.

As Goldust exits the ring and returns up the ramp with Rellik, Sandman enters the ring and empties a can of beer onto the prone Sgt.

    SEGMENT
Jim Neidhart is found backstage, unconscious, by Owen Hart. An ambulance is called and Owen vows revenge.

    Match

Batista takes on Rellik. Rellik makes his way to the ring on his own, we are told that goldust is resting backstage after his victory. Batista enters the ring and the match begins. Rellik gets in some impressive offence, but is eventually beaten by the Animal. Batista celebrates in the ring to the delight of his fans as Rellik makes his way up the ramp. Goldust suddenly appears at the top of the ramp, he beckons Rellik over, and spits in his face, followed by an open handed slap. Goldust berates Rellik as Batista watches on bemusedly, when all of a sudden Rellik rises up and gives an almighty shove to Goldust, who falls off the edge of the ramp landing on a table below.

    Segment
The anvil is bundled into the back of an ambulance, as a crew member tells Owen it’s ring time. Owen swears and heads to the ring.

    Match

Kurt Angle and the Patriot Foundation make their way to the ring, and wait for Owen. The three of them laugh as Owen makes walks up to the ring alone. But halfway up the aisle he stops. Looking at Kurt Angle, he lets a smile creep across his face. Owen’s music stops, and some new music begins, and a pair of men make their way towards him. It’s the CAN AM Connection, Phil La Fon and Doug Fournas. Just in from Japan.

The smiles quickly leave the Patriots face. A great technical match is had by all 6 until finally Owen pins Jack Evans. The patriots may not have been properly prepared for who they were facing. The show ends as Owen and the Can Am Connection celebrate.

    stephanie-mcmahon-0070.jpg
23,000 sellout here in Greenwich, Connecticut. Stephanie McMahon arrives to a huge ovation. She declares that 'Wrestlemania' is an outdated term and that something newer is needed. With that, the arena goes dark for a few seconds. Eventually a sign is lowered in place of the Wrestlemania sign, fireworks coincide.
    xpaahl.jpg
Stephanie explains the new role of the Intercontinental Championship. She deems that the owner of the title after Conclusion will be the No. 1 Contender for the belt. She announces the opening of a tournament that will see Marc Mero defend the belt at Conclusion against the winner.
As usual, she is interrupted by John Cena. He states that Stephanie can talk the main show of the year up all she wants but it's still ultimately going to be an anti-climax due to the fact that he's going to waltz to victory. Cena says he has taken his untouchable status to a higher level than ever thought due to his new found friends. RTC enter the arena to horrid taunts from the crowd. The trio approach the ring. Stephanie responds by saying that she will not allow conservative, boring, ugly bullies dictate the grandest stage of them all and that it is not about what Cena wants, but what the fans want. Stephanie announces that WWE Conclusion's main event stipulation will be decided tonight by the winner of a 6-man tag team match. Cena and his new found buddies will be squaring off against Harley Race and two partners of his choice in tonight's main event. Stephanie exits on the note that Cena's destiny is NOT in his own hands after all.

The next segment sees King and JR announce the competitors in the IC title hunt. Kane will square off against Chavo Guerrero while Shelton Benjamin will take on the ever determined DDP.

    Match One:
Kane vs. Chavo Guerrero (w/ Corporal Cajun)

Chavo makes his way to the ring with an apparently injured team mate. Kane gains an advantage quickly though, nailing the trademark Sidewalk slam for a close two count. With Conclusion firmly in his sights he is distracted by Cajun's presence on the ring apron, Kane throws him in to the ring. Kane looks reborn, nailing both with huge big boots before hitting a double chokeslam. Kane then points to the Conclusion sign and Tombstones Chavo for the 3 count. Things finally seem to be going his way as he celebrates a long overdue victory.
    kane_19.jpg

Backstage there seems to be a large amount of commotion over the fate of the Women's title match at Conclusion. A boardroom meeting is taking place between a few unknown executives and Victoria & Jacqueline. Suddenly, in bursts Bull Buchanan and The Goodfather. They say that a woman's place is not in the squared circle. Of course this sets the the girls off into an unholy rant, only silenced by the purely random arrival of The Nasty Boys. The suits' shouts to restore order to the boardroom are drowned out by Johnny Grunge declaring his want for some 'Nastiness'. Bull Buchanan says that if they weren't already booked for a match tonight that they'd gladly put give them their wish of nastiness but that they'd ultimately be on the wrong end of things. With that, Stephanie arrives in, saying she has a headache with all of this. She reminds RTC that their boss is infact a woman and that they should watch their mouths, furthermore she ensures the divas that their talents will not go to waste, stating that they will have one final chance to prove their worth next week before Conclusion. She adds that RTC and the Nasty Boys can settle this 'Nasty' arguement next week in a Tag Team, Parking Lot Brawl.
As they split up, Harley Race approaches The Nasty Boys, saying that he overheard of their unhappiness with the presence of the RTC. He says that no one more than he is worried about how their presence will affect his ultimate goal. Tonight he has a chance to gain an advantage over Cena in the road to Conclusion and to do that he needs a formidable tag team to do so. No team other than the Tag Team Champions can help him attain that. They gratiously accept, saying that this victory will be a victory for the WWE Universe, Conclusion and Liberty overall.

    Match Two:
Shelton Benjamin (w/ LT Taylor) vs. Diamond Dallas Page

It is a given that all WWE superstars are talented people but rarely do we see two warriors with so much technical brilliance do battle. Sheltons ally in LT Taylor balances out DDP's determination and ring awareness. This match sees two superstars go at it, each deserving a place on the grandest stage of them all. Reversal after reversal sees LT Taylor on the apron, Shelton accidentally charges in to him, leaving DDP finally able to plant the Diamond Cutter for the 3-count.
    cutter03.jpg

Pre-Main event hype is building and John Cena is standing by with Kevin Kelly:
KK: John with only two weeks to go until Conclusion, you could gain a huge advantage by picking the stipulation. Your thoughts?
Cena: Stephanie McMahon thinks that I don't control my destiny. NO ONE, only me, John Cena, WWE Champion, The Untouchable one can dictate my destiny.
KK: This 6-man tag team match is surely going to be a free-for-all, you can easily lose this match without getting pinned.
    Cena: *draws blank*
    KK: John?...
*Cena uppercuts Kevin Kelly and walks off screen*

Match 3: WWE Champion John Cena, Bull Buchanan & RTC vs. Harley Race & WWE Tag Team Champions, The Nasty Boys

This unpredictable match provides fabulous entertainment. With things looking bleak for Team Race, Grunge is cornered by Bull who is constantly tagging in Goodfather. Out of nowhere, an enziguiri catches Bull, Grunge then ducks out of a charge from The Goodfather, sending him straight into a flying clothesline from Rocco. With that, Grunge tags in the No.1 Contender and all hell breaks loose. Inevitably it comes down to Cena and Race, they exchange blows. A Belly to Belly suplex seems to sway it Race's way, The Nasty Boys have seen to the RTC and Race is signalling the end. Race goes for a piledriver but Cena manages to toss Race over, sending him into the referee's path in the process. With the referee out of the equation it's still anybody's game. RTC and The Nasty Boys have really made this personal, still giving it their all on the outside. The two in the ring stumble to their feet, the crowd are going crazy and sense something about to happen. As they lock horns again, Race once again gets the upper hand. This time he looks set for the piledriver. He is this time distracted by fireworks from the titantron. Music begins playing. No one is quite sure who it is but whoever it is has a dark shroud over his head and is easily 6'7. The music playing is Zeppelin's Immigrant Song, never before used so that's given nothing away. Eventually the figure looks up and there is Big John Studd.
JR: This man, not known for technical skills, but brute strength and lack of compassion for his fellow man!

BJS boots The Nasty Boys out of the way, the bell well rung at this stage. He leaves Cena and Race both decimated with huge powerbombs, he's clearly been practicing.

JR ends the show with: WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR CONCLUUUSION??!!!?? OH MY GOD!!

    Week 1 show here.

    Week 2 show here.

    Week 3 show here.

    Week 4 show here.
This week's MNG show comes live from Seattle, Washington.

Before the show began it was announced that tonight's main event would be a huge 10 man tag team match featuring Jake Roberts, Bam Bam Bigelow, Shane McMahon, Santino and Nunzio taking on the team of The Rock, Big Show, Mr T, Hurricane and Rosey. Also announced was a Santino's Casa segment involving Chyna, plus Muhammad Hussan vs Junkyard Dog.

Shane was seen speaking with Jake and told him he'd good news for him. He also revealed he had a plan to make Rock pay for last week. Jake said he better have as he wasn't happy Shane didn't come to his aid.

The show kicks off with pyro as we are now just one week away from Wrestlemania! The show opens with Miss Elizabeth making her first appearance. She gets a great reception and speaks about how thrilled she is to be in the company. At this point Jake made his entrance with Shane and Bam Bam alongside him. Jake came in the ring and asked Liz if he remembered what happened the last time they were this close to one another. Jake demanded The Rock appear. He grabbed Liz who began screaming.

The Rock came out and told Jake to let her go.

    WWF_-_The_Rock_Pointing_1_.jpg

He told Jake mind games wouldn't work on him as he lives by 3 simple words - 'just bring it'. Rock said if Jake wanted to go one on with him all he had to do was ask. Jake said just as Rock had told him a few weeks back, he would get revenge on his own terms and slapped her across the face. The Rock ran down the aisle as Jake fled up the ramp laughing hysterically. Shane and Bam Bam looked at each other as if this wasn't part of the plan as The Rock tended to Liz.

After the break Shane and Bam Bam were talking and Bam Bam said that wasn't what they agreed would happen.

    0.jpg

Shane said Jake was becoming difficult to control. Bam Bam said he knew Shane hated The Rock but asked if Jake was really a preferable option to him? Shane thought about this for a few seconds and then replied with a sneer that he was.

A video package aired showing Junkyard Dog helping Mr T train for his big match at Wrestlemania.

Match #1 US Champion Muhammad Hassan b. Junkyard Dog w/Mr T (non-title match)

Before the match it was announced the winner would get to decide the stipulation for the Wrestlemania bout. The announcers spoke about the surprise Hassan had promised last week and wondered if it was just head games. The match was pretty even and it looked like JYD would win but someone came through the crowd and passed Hassan his US belt which he used to hit JYD for the 1-2-3. It was a man wearing a turban and it was shown to be the legendary Freddie Blassie!

Hassan then grabbed a chair and beat on JYD and Mr T. He got on the mic saying he had delivered on his surprise and said 'Ayatollah' Freddie Blassie would be in his corner at Wrestlemania.

    hassan.jpg

He decided that the stipulation at Mania would be a cage match between Hassan and Mr T since he had long felt like a caged animal living in America. He said this Sunday the caged animal would break American hearts as well as their hero.

After the break Mr T and JYD were being treated by medics. Shane was told Mr T couldn't feature later on in the main event so Shane said with a smirk that it will have to be a 5 on 4 match instead. It was implied by the announcers that Shane knew Mr T would be taken out.

Meanwhile Beth knocked on Crash's dressing room. She apologised if she hurt his feelings last week. Crash said it was OK and suggested reluctantly that they just stay friends. Crash asked her if she was ready for Chyna on Sunday and she said she thinks so. Bob Holly then appeared and asked if his cousin was becoming distracted ahead of Sunday.

    200px-Bob_Holly_in_Kitchener,_Ontario,_Canada.jpg

Crash got angry and said to just drop it. Beth excused herself and left.

The Rock was seen comforting Elizabeth backstage alongside Big Show, Hurricane and Rosey. Rock said Jake couldn't be found but that he would pay this Sunday. Show walked off looking extremely pissed.

    28.jpg

Shane was seen talking on the phone when Big Show burst in. He grabbed Shane by the throat and said he couldn't believe he allowed Jake to attack Liz. Shane insisted he didn't think Jake would actually touch her. Show said maybe he should slap Shane around a bit. Bam Bam then attacked Show from behind and helped Shane up. The two of them fled the room as Show got up looking enraged.

    Santino's casa segment w/ Chyna

Santino was there with Nunzio and said this Sunday the Italian Stallions would be the new tag champions and tonight they'd get revenge on The Rock for last week. He said despite his difficulties with Beth he knew she loved him and would never fall for a small silly man.

    180px-Santino-Marella.jpg

He introduced Chyna, who came out to a good pop. Chyna got on the mic and said she was surprised Beth would go for someone like Santino. He got upset and said Beth would kick her ass at Mania. He said Beth had told him she hated Chyna and that she thought Chyna looked like a dude. Beth came out and denied saying these things. She told Santino to stop lying.

Santino laughed with Nunzio and said women could be so emotional just like stupid little puppies. They laughed as Beth and Chyna looked at each other unimpressed. They then began beating up Santino and Nunzio before throwing them outside the ring. Chyna picked up the mic and said not only was Beth better off without Santino, she'd be better off without the Women's Title too.

    5270250

After the break Nunzio was chatting to Santino and asked if he was worried about his relationship after Beth had beat him up. Santino said that this was a sign women liked you and brushed it off.

Shane was seen talking to Bam Bam in the boiler room. He asked if Jake was around and Bam Bam said no one knew where he was. Bam Bam asked if Jake would appear later and Shane said he didn't know. Shane said even if he didn't, that would still make things 4 on 4 since Mr T wasn't competing so told Bam Bam to concentrate on softening up Big Show. Shane said Sunday's match with Big Show would be a no DQ match and laughed saying the referee (him) would have to call the match right down the middle.

Before the main event The Rock cut a pre-match interview.

Rock said Jake slapping a woman just showed what a pathetic piece of trash he was. He said tonight Jake couldn't be found. Rock said perhaps Jake was in a quiet place looking inside his pants in a vain search to find some sort of a snake down there. Rock said he hoped Jake would show up because even 5-on-4 odds didn't intimidate The Rock. He said he would whoop Shane's candy ass tonight and anyone else he went up against. Rock said it didn't matter whether he was facing Santino, Nunzio, Mario, Luigi, Fat Tony, Bam Bam, Pebbles, Wilma, Betty, Jake The Snake, Jake The Worm, Jake The Donkey, Jake the Zebra, Jake the hairy Llama's Anus, the only thing that mattered was tonight, whoever he faced, simply put - just bring it.

He said Jake liked to say 'Trust Me' well trust The Rock at Wrestlemania he would go on to claim the vacant WWE Title. If ya smelllll what The Rock is cooking.

Main Event - Jake Roberts, Bam Bam, Shane McMahon, Santino & Nunzio b. The Rock, Big Show, Hurricane & Rosey

Jake didn't come out to begin with and The Rock's team enjoyed the better part of the match early on. Then Shane and Bam Bam's team came strong as Bam Bam worked over Hurricane. Rock desperately wanted the tag but couldn't get it. Eventually he tagged in and worked over everyone including Shane.

At this point Jake Roberts sauntered down the aisle to a chorus of boos. He joined his team on the apron and Rock asked him to tag in. The crowd cheered like crazy. To everyone's surprise Jake DID tag in and the two of them went at it exchanging right hands. Suddenly everyone came in the ring and the arena came unglued as the ref struggled to control things. Big Show went after Shane on the outside and inside the ring Rock and Jake collided mid-air with one another. The finish came with Bam Bam making the blind tag on Jake before hitting a diving headbutt on The Rock for the 1-2-3 pin.

The announcers put over Bam Bam saying he had just taken a huge win ahead of Sunday's match with Big Show.

    09.jpg

The Big Show looked surprised at Bam Bam's victory and the pair of them fought up into the stands with Shane chasing after them. Crash and Bob Holly meanwhile ran down and did battle with Santino and Nunzio and Hurricane and Rosey, who all fought their way into the back.

This left Jake all alone with The Rock. He picked up The Rock and nailed him with the DDT. He then left the ring and went under it to get a bag. The announcers wondered what was inside it and Jake revealed the contents - it was Damien! The snake got a surprisingly large pop. The announcers said this must have been the good news Shane had mentioned earlier. Jake tied Rock up in the ropes and draped Damien on him! The snake began biting The Rock's arms who screamed in agony and began to bleed. Some refs came down to get the snake off him and the show closed with Jake hoisting Damien in the air and gesturing that the belt would soon be around his waist.

The show closed with a video package detailing the main event bout involving Jake and The Rock at Wrestlemania:

Confirmed card for this Sunday, Wrestlemania 2010, live from Madison Square Gardens, NY:

Jake 'The Snake' vs The Rock (For the vacant WWE Title)

Big Show vs Bam Bam Bigelow (No DQ match / Special Ref: Shane McMahon)

Muhammad Hassan (c) w/ Ayatollah Blassie vs Mr T w/ Junkyard Dog (Cage Match for US Title)

Chyna vs Beth Phoenix (c) (For the Women's Title)

Hurricane & Rosey (c) vs The Hollys vs Santino & Nunzio (Tag Team Elimination match for the Tag Team Titles)

    - Can Jake Roberts finally fulfil a lifelong journey to become WWE Champion or will The Rock's long odyssey to reclaim the title finally culminate in victory?

    - As two heavyweights collide can Big Show overcome the no-doubt biased refereeing of Shane McMahon to defeat Bam Bam Bigelow?

    - Can Muhammad Hassan retain his winning streak and the gold or will Mr T finally shut him up and take the US Title?

    - As the Ninth Wonder of the World meets The Glamazon in a women's title match for the ages, who will emerge victorious?

    - The Hollys and the self-styled 'Italian Stallions' have been chasing Hurricane and Rosey's tag titles for weeks, but who will take the glory?

These questions will finally be answered this Sunday so don't miss the greatest wrestling extravaganza of all time, Wrestlemania 2010, only on PPV!

    Defiance 05/05/09 Spoilers:

    1241805955_dana_white.jpg
The shows opens with the Philadephia Arena, named after the well selling cheese, in New York, in darkness. No pyro. No music. Once the fans chanting dies down after a few minutes, a white light descends from the ceiling with God himself lowering himself from the heavens. He welcomes the 3000+ fans in attendance and informs them of what will follow on this night. First off, we will have 2 triple threats as part of the cruiserweight title tournament. Tonight we would see Alex Shelley Vs Psicosis Vs James Gibson & TBK Vs Juvi Vs Chris Sabin in triple threat elimination matches, with the winners advancing to the final to be held at PWR Summer Uprising.

    *****sex pistols music blares*****
Out walks “The Anarchist” Doug Williams to a chorus of boos. He tells the crowd that not only has he no respect for the owner of this company, but he also has no respect whatsoever for Jerry Lawlor. He wishes Lawlor would just get on with retiring and leave the door open for proper young talents like himself. White says he knows tension has been brewing between the pair since the companies inception, and he is willing to grant Williams his match at Uprising. Williams seems pleased, and turns to walk back to the dressing room, but behind him stands Lawlor who sucker punches him with his scepter. Lawlor takes the mic and informs White that he cannot wait another 3 weeks, he wants Williams tonight. The crowd roars its approval. White shrugs and smiles, tells Lawlor he has got his match, in a fight with honour.

    Commercial break

    the-brian-kendrick.jpg Vs quack2.jpg
When we come back we are given our first TV match on Defiance
The Brian Kendrick Vs “Lightning” Mike Quakenbush
Before the match starts, Quack takes the mic and tells of his disappointment at being left out of the cruiser tournament due to his late arrival to the promotion. He asks Kendrick, who had only beaten a local development talent, one of Quacks students in fact, to put his place in the semis on the line. TBK, being the arrogant person he is, says not only will he beat Quackenbush, but he will beat him faster than the 3 minutes he beat his pitiful student. The match begins with Kendrick going for an immediate schoolboy which Quack kicks out at one for. He rolls through though, gets Kendrick in position for an inverted implant DDT, hits in, covers him 1-2-3. Quack takes TBKs place in the semi final. He runs out celebrates with the fans as he makes his way to the back, as Kendrick has a childish temper tantrum in the ring.

    Backstage segment:
Quackenbush walks by Alex Shelley, and wishes him luck for his triple threat semi later in the evening.

We go back to the ring to see Homicide standing there with Juvi and Psicosis. He introduces the audience to the new LAX. He said he is the leader of what will become the dominant group in pro wrestling. He points out his disappointment at being left out of the next shows triple threat title match between CM Punk, KENTA and His old buddy, Low Ki. He demands it is made a 4 way. Tonight, he is scheduled to meet Naomichi Marufuji.

    Homicide_210WK.jpg Vs Marufuji_432410a.jpg

Marufuji comes to the ring and the match begins. It starts off with a long feeling out process of hold and counter hold. This is a decent clash in styles, which Marus obvious puro base and Homicides lucha based style. Each reversal is met with raucous applause from the live audience. Homicide is looking genuinely annoyed that he is not going over as quickly as expected, so he signals for his cohorts to get involved. Juvi jumps on the apron to distract the ref, Cide throws Maru out of the ring, while he and Psicosis start putting the boot in. Maru is sent back into the ring where Homicide sees an easy pinfall, but Marufuji kicks out on 2. Out run the Murder City Machine guns and take his corner. Homicide goes for the cop killer but Marufuji flips through and back body drops Homicide. Juvi jumps in, but is blocked by Chris Sabin, Psicosis jumps in but is blocked by Shelley. They brawl to the outside. The ref bans all 4 from ringside, and the match continues. We are now at the 20 minute mark of a 25 minute time limit match. Both men are out on their feet at this stage, but trade punches, legal in PWR, in the middle of the ring. Yakuza kick from Homicide, who runs the ropes looks to finish with an Ace Crusher. Blocked by Marufuji, kick to the groin, takes hold, runs up the ropes, hits a shinanui, 1-2-3 on the cusp of 25 minutes. Marufuji celebrates in the ring while LAX come back to help Homidice to the back.

    Commercial break.

    Alex_Shelley.jpg Vs psychosis.jpg Vs noble_large.jpg
When we come back its time for the first semi final in the cruiserweight tournament, between Alex Shelley Vs Psicosis Vs James Gibson. The bad blood from their rumble only a few minutes ago its very evident between Shelley and Psichosis. Gibson uses this to his advantage and steps back and lets the 2 tag team specialists duke it out in a daring and physical battle. The crowd are not too pleased to see Gibson use such tactics. He makes the first elimination when Psichosis hits Shelley with a hurricanrana from the top. Gibson pushes Psichosis out and takes the cover. Gibson takes to the outside and throws the exhausted Psicosis back inside. He works away at his midsection and legs, taking out Psichosis speed, therefore preventing any sort of recovery. He then hits a tiger driver for the 1-2-3 on the 12 minute mark.

    Commercial Break

    th_Chris_Sabin-2.jpg Vs 180px-Juventud-Guerrera.jpg Vs quack2.jpg

Its time for the 2nd elimination triple threat. This time we see Chris Sabin Vs Juvi Vs Quack. Much like the previous match the Sabin and Juvi go at each other to start off with, but Quack does not want the easy victory. He takes at Juvi seemingly letting Sabin rest. Quack works over the thigh area of Juvi, taking the spring out his step. Sabin joins in at this. Quack hits Juvi with a Quackarana. Sabin picks him up and hits Juvi with a cradle shock for the first elimination on the 3 minute mark. They briefly shake hands, but Quack takes a very quick schoolboy 1-2-3 to advance to the finals. Sabin is disgusted to lose, but acknowledges he was beaten by the more wily man.

    *backstage segment*

Tomko and Bernard, the tag champs are laughing, saying there is just no competition in this promotion for them. They will beat anyone who challenges them next time on Defiance.

    Commercial break

    lawler3.jpg Vs dougwilliams1cropped.jpg
Its time for the main event of the evening. Already in the ring is Doug Williams. Jerry Lawlors music hits, but he runs out from the crowd and attacks Williams from behind. The crowd love this. They remember exactly how dirty a player their hero is. The much younger Williams is not stricken for long as he takes control, taking Lawlor to the crowd quickly using his judo expertise. He seems to have added tome MMA to his game as he proceeds into a vicious ground and pound, leaving Lawlor a bloody mess. The Anarchist plays to the crowd asking them what they think of their hero now. He goes outside for a chair. He allows Lawlor back to his wobbly feet. He waits, he strikes, he misses. He tries again, he misses again. He throws the chair at Lawlor in temper, and again misses. He runs at Lawlor, who unbeknownst to Williams has taken his brass knucks from his singlet, and is nailed with a right hand. Williams is down. Lawlor falls to the floor in exhaustion. The ref gets to eight of a ten count. Both men stumble to their feet, Lawlor takes a punch, Williams ducks then grabs Lawlor for the Chaos Theory – HITS IT….. 1-2, Lawlor kicks out. Willaims is in disbelief. He gets the chair again. Lawlor is on his knees begging for mercy. Williams goes to swing, but the ref seemingly in sympathy grabs the chair to stop him. Williams in disbelief turns his back on Lawlor to give out to the ref. Lawlor low blows Williams from behind, making him fall into the ref. Lawlor takes the chair, nails Williams. Lawlor grabs Williams, picks him up…PILEDRIVER. He makes the cover as the woozy ref comes to 1-2-3. Lawlor wins on 25 minutes as we go off the air.

Twin Towers vs The Colons w/Eric Perez vs The Canadian Bulldogs (tag team title match)
    7_19.jpg8_9.jpg9_17.jpg

The Canadian Bulldogs have been getting tuitored by The British Bulldogs who they hope to emulate by becoming the first ever BWA tag team champions but to do so they will have to go through two of the best tag teams in the BWA. Firstly the teaming of the powerhouse's The Big Bossman and The One Man Gang otherwise known as The Twin Towers and The former unified WWE Tag champs Primo & Carlito Colon who will have the Puerto Rican Nightmare Eric Perez at ringside with them. Will this added influence at ringside have an affect on the match or as planned will the elimination nature of this match ensure that we see undisputed tag champions fairly crowned.

    Winners: The Colon Brothers

The Puerto Rican Nightmare's as a group will try to dominate the newly established tag division and may even try to envoke the freebird rule down the road where by any 2 of them can defend the belts not just the Colon brothers.

Silver King & Dr Wagner Jr vs Villaño IV & V (Mask vs Mask match)

    10_7.jpg11_1.jpg12_10.jpg

before this match begins a video packaged is played about the history of Mexican wrestling characterized by rapid sequences of holds and moves, as well as high-flying moves, some of which have been adopted in the United States, and colorful masks. On the topic of masks the video goes into greater detail explaining the importance of the to Mexican wrestlers. As this video finishes the ring announcer introduces the newest members of the BWA roster Villaño IV & V. They speak of their long standing rivalry with Silver King & Dr Wagner Jr and how everyone will remember tonight as the night they debute in the BWA and the night that they de-masked teir opponents infront of the world.

    winners: Vilano IV & V

A win on their debut so that they gain momentum upon their arrival at the BWA but this feud however is long from over at this stage. It would most likely also be easier for the face team of Silver King and Dr Wagner Jr to get over without their masks which unlike Los Villaños arent matching.

Steve 'King of Old School' Corino vs Abyss (Hardcore match)

    13_11.jpg14_1.jpg

Steve Corino's anti hardcore gimmick has obviousy not gone down well with the monster Abyss who has delivered a number of extreme beatdowns to 'The King old Old School' in recent weeks aswell as costing him the IC title at the last PPV. Can Corino finally get his revenge in this hardcore match, expect blood, thumbtacks and much more as we find out.

    Winner: Steve Corino

Team Omega member Matt Hardy interfers in this match helping The King of Old School Steve Corino get the victory in this match which really exemplified what a Hardcore match really is with all types of weapons and unconventional moves being performed both in the ring and outside of it. The match culminated when after Hardy's interferance forced Abyss back onto the stage by the Titantron where Corino is waiting with a Kendo stick. After delivering multiple blows to Abyss with it, including cracking it over his head and leaving him teetering on the edge of the stage, at which point Corino grabs a camera from the Cameraman who had followed them backstage and strikes Abyss with the camera causing him to fall 10 feet through a table bellow before being pinned 1-2-3. If the pin wasnt bad enough, the fall caused a back injury which it is believed will keep the big man out for up to 2 months.

    Presents; Warzone
Coming to you live from New Orleans Arena, New Orleans, LA.

XWE General Manager, Jenny McCarthy, kicks off this week’s edition of Warzone by welcome the fans and reminding them that XWE’s PPV, Rebelution, is just one week away! Jenny announces that the tag team titles will be on the line at Rebelution, with Young & Williams taking on champions Rhodes & DiBiase Jr, but before that, two of the four participants in the Tag Team title Match at Rebelution will face off against each other tonight. Just as the opening match was to be announced, Jenny is interrupted.

Jeff Jarrett’s music hits and he joins Jenny in the ring. He says he doesn’t care about any pointless matches happening tonight, he has a chance to take the title from Shawn Michaels at Rebelution and wants to give the crowd a preview tonight, in a match again Michaels. Jenny reminds Jarrett about the clause he signed in the contract signing last week, he and HBK cannot get involved until their match at Rebelution.

Instead Jenny announces that since Jarrett interrupted her and seem to claim the tag team division as “pointless”, Jarrett will be in a tag team match of his own tonight, teaming with Ace Steel, who has been asking for a match against Cabana, and a tag team partner of his choice. She also points out that HBK cannot get involved and is resting this week, having picked up a knock whilst training during the week. Jenny then leaves as Jarrett looks on in disgust unhappy with the GM’s decision.
    TDvsPW-TV3.jpg
Ted DiBiase w/Cody Rhodes vs. Petey Williams w/Eric Young
Result: The opening match as built up by the GM. Ted gets on the mic before the match and says that he has a little announcement, he would like to welcome he and Cody Rhodes manager….someone Petey & Eric would know very well, Scott D’Amore. Williams and Young are in shock as D’Amore joins Cody in Ted’s corner. The bell rings and DiBiase takes control from the start, as Williams struggles to keep up with the pace of the match. DiBiase gets a belly to back suplex on Williams. DiBiase then poses to the crowd, which results in a round of boos. Williams recovers quick to get a Russian legsweep on DiBiase. Williams moves quick to go up to the top rope. Rhodes attempts to push his off but Young is quick to react. Williams goes for the elbow drop, but DiBiase moves out of the way. DiBiase gets the cobra clutch slam and pins…Young tries to make the save but is pulled from the ring by D’Amore and Rhodes. 1-2-3, DiBiase picks up the win. DiBiase, Rhodes and D’Amore celebrate in the ring while Young helps carry Williams to the back.

Angelina Love, along with Velvet Sky storms into Jenny McCarthy’s office, demanding that her title match against Natalya be made official. Jenny informs Angelina that she isn’t the only female wrestler looking for a title shot at Rebelution. Angelina looks confused and then turns to Velvet, giving her a cold stare, while she looks just as confused, shaking her head. Cheerleader Melissa appears behind Angelina. The two stand face to face before Love & Sky walk out. Jenny then calls after the two that they will be involved in a tag team match tonight…and it’s coming up next.
    CMNNvsALVS-TV3.jpg
Cheerleader Melissa & Natalya Neidhart vs. Angelina Love & Velvet Sky
Result: The match starts off with Melissa against Sky. Sky tries for a quick roll up but Melissa kicks out with ease. Sky then tags in Love, who immediately gets a clothesline on Melissa, who is quick to get up but is taken down just as quick again. Love screams at Melissa to get up, and she does, and Irish whips Love into the corner and performers numerous backhand chops before getting a scoop power slam on Love. Melissa goes for the pin, 1-2, Love kicks out. Melissa tags Neidhart in and she gets a few kicks on Love who is still down. She picks up Love and then gives her a backbreaker. She continues to kick her, before lifting her to her feet, only to be met by multiple elbows to the face. Love fights back as Neidhart tried to block her shots. Love Irish whips Neidhart to the opposite corner, only for Neidhart to reverse it, but Love gets out of the corner. Love then hit Neidhart with a Leg-feed enzuigiri and then goes for a camel clutch. At this stage, Cheerleader Melissa leaves her corner, leaving Neidhart to suffer and Sky looks on mocking. Neidhart tries to fight her way out of it but fails, and taps out. Love & Sky celebrate in the ring, still mocking Neidhart, as Melissa disappears to the back.

Colt Cabana is shown backstage, speaking with Chris Daniels. Colt seems uneasy, as he asks Daniels if he will be his tag team partner for tonight’s match. Daniels says he is not going to help him and to run along and find someone else, as he has better things to be doing.

    Ad for Rebelution is aired

    RMvsEB-TV3.jpg
    Rey Mysterio vs. Evan Bourne
Result: As expected this is turning out to be a long fast paced match, filled with high flying manoeuvres. Mysterio goes for a missile dropkick and goes for the cover, 1-2, Bourne kicks out and is quick to his feet, he bounces off the rope and hits Mysterio with suplex. Bourne then does a springboard into a corkscrew senton. Bourne goes for the pin but Mysterio manages to get him leg on the rope. Rey then hits Bourne with a tornado DDT. Rey then hit’s a springboard leg drop. Bourne is tiring and Rey goes for a quick rollup. 1-2-3. Rey wins. Bourne is not happy, slamming his fists into the mat.

Chris Daniels then appears at the top of the ramp, applauding both competitors. He then gets on the mic and states that the general manager has informed him that at Rebelution, he will be defending his title against both Rey Mysterio and Evan Bourne in a 3-way match. He then states, that he has nothing to worry about and that they should try and up their game if they want to considered any competition for his title. He then leaves and Bourne and Mysterio look happy with the announcement and stare each other down.

Velvet Sky is backstage to interview Jeff Jarrett before the main event. Velvet asks Jarrett if he is prepared for his big title match against HBK at Rebelution. Jarrett grabs the mic and stares down the camera. He says he is more than prepared to take the title from Shawn Michaels…he hopes that Shawn is watching as this upcoming match is simply a preview as to what he has in store for him. Jarrett drops the mic and makes his way into the main arena for his tag match.

Cabana is shown on camera talking to someone, who is out of the cameras view. “I appreciate this man, you ready for this?” asks Colt. “Born Ready”….then appears recent addition to the roster, Elix Skipper, accompanied by Simon Diamond. The three then make their way to the ring.
    CCESvsJJAS-TV3.jpg
Colt Cabana & Elix Skipper w/ Simon Diamond vs. Ace Steel & Jeff Jarrett
Result: Skipper and Steel are ready to start things off. Then Shawn Michael’s music hits and Shawn makes his way over to the commentary table. He and Jarrett exchange glances. The bell rings and Skipper & Steel lock up. Skipper over powers Steel and gets him to the mat. Skipper manages a double jump moonsault on Steel. Steel is taking his time to get back to his feet…Cabana wants it, and is tagged by Skipper. Cabana hit’s the bionic elbow on Steel, which sends him face first into the mat again. Cabana continues to stomp on Steel, and steel manages to grab his leg, getting himself back to his feet while still holding Cabana’s leg.
Steel drops Cabana’s leg and applies a Gory Special. This leaves Cabana laid out. Steel then applies a cross armbar, Colt is in agony. Steel then moves back to his corner and Jarrett tags himself in, much to Steel’s dismay. Colt slowly crawls to his corner and tags in Skipper just is time to hit a clothesline on an approaching Jeff Jarrett, and again. Colt is lying on the ring apron, still in pain. Diamond is on the outside, trying to spur on Skipper on. Steel storms off to Colts corner and attacks Cabana. The ref tries to break it up on the outside. Jarrett takes to opportunity to grab his guitar and smashes it over Skippers head. Diamond then enters the ring and gets the remains of Jarrett’s guitar to hit Jarrett with, but Jarrett moves out of the way. Diamond hits Skipper as he was trying to get to his feet. Jarrett clotheslines Diamond and pushes him out of the ring. The ref turns around to see Jarrett covering Skipper for the pin…1-2-3. Cobana and Steel are now brawling on the outside, while Diamond is still in shock at what just happened.

Jarrett stares in HBK’s direction, who at witnessing the match is pent up with anger, unable to interfere. Jarrett with a grin on his face, mouths to Michaels, “That title is mine”. Show ends.

    My Final show:

    GCWbak.jpg

    GCW Impact

    Opening Segment

As the show opens as Sgt. Slaughter, carrying Old Glory, leads the Patriot's to the ring. Kurt Angle, with his US title around his waist, has a mic. He introduces the members of his stable; tag team champs Teddy Hart and Jack Evans; the American Legend Sgt Slaughter; World Title contender Kevin Nash;next himself, the US Champ. Kurt explains that as the ppv is only a few days away he has called in a few favours to set up some warm up matches for some of his stable mates, and their opponents. With that the jumobtron lights up, Sarge salutes, and George W Bush appears on screen.

Dubya confirms that he has indeed organised some warm up matchs. First off we will see Owen Hart take on Patriot foundation in a handicap match. Next we will see Jim Niedhart with the Cam Am Connection taking on Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash, and Sargent Slaughter. (One of the commenters mentions that Neidhart is still suffering from an injury, so this is more or less another handicap match!). Batista will face off in a triple threat against Goldust and Rellik, while Sandman will have an opportunity to get in the ppv mainevent when he faces Andre The Giant for the World Heavyweight title. Bush says his goodbyes as The Patriots applaud the screen.

    Match
Teddy Hart and Jack Evans remain in the ring as their stable mates return to the back. Owen Hart's music hits and he strolls down the aisle to the ring. The tag champs turn their backs to hand their titles to the ring announcer. The bell rings and all of a sudden Owen attacks them. Catching them off guard Owen dumps Evans out of the ring, where he falls awkwardly. Owen quickly turns his attack to an unprepared Teddy, who is unable to recover quickly enough, and before he knows it he's caught in the sharpshooter, and is forced to tap out. Evans is up now and tries attacking the Rocket with his title belt, but Owen is quick and makes it halfway up the ailse before he turns back to taunt the losers.

    Interview
An interviewer catches up with Owen back stage. He is delighted with his win, and can't wait to face Kurt at the ppv.

    Match
Bull Nakano takes on Noriyo Tateno of the Jumping Bomb Angels for the Womens Championship title. The match is very competitive with Tateno using her quickness to overcome Nakano's superior size and strength. However, due to interference from both Dump Matsumoto and Itsuki Yamazaki the match is ruled a no contest. The scene descends into further chaos when The Crush Gals join the fight. Officials and security swarm to ring to restore order.

    Segment
Ric Flair and Andre The Giant are backstage. First Ric rips into Batista and Kevin Nash, followed by a few comments on how Andre is going to dominate Sandman later tonight. He ends the segment by telling George W Bush that Andre is the champion, and not to be used for his gains.

    Match
Rellik is already in the ring, Goldust makes his way down. Rellik stares as Goldust enters the ring. Batista's music plays, and the Animal appears. The crowd goes wild. Halfway down the aisle and it seems Rellik can't wait for the bell to go and attacks Goldust. The pair go at each other tooth and nail. Batista gets in the ring, looks at the ref. The ref looks back and shrugs, and calls for the match to start. Batista is able to relax in a ring corner as Goldust and Rellik fight. After a hard fight Rellik Irish Whips Goldust into Batista, who is able to react quickly grabbing Goldust and hitting him with a Batista Bomb. Rellik stands back as Batista pins Goldy. After Batista leaves the ring Rellik hits Goldust with a Demon Driver.

(The commentators note that the patriot's warm up matches don't seem to be going exactly as planned)

    Segment
Sandman is in back being interviewed. Drinking a beer and having a smoke, he rips into Sargent Slaughter, Ric Flair, Andre The Giant, and everybody else that comes to his mind. He fears nobody. He has been banned from ringside for the next match, under threat of being fired.

    Match
Jim "The Anvil" Neidhard, with the Can Am Connection. The Anvil looks pretty uneasy on his feet. The Patriots make their way to the ring, and the match begins with Kurt Angle v Phil LaFon. The match is a back and forth affair, with La Fon and Furnas doing most of the work, protecting Neidhart. However due to nefarious means LaFon is taken out by Slaughter and Furnas is forced to tag in Anvil. Anvil starts off strong, but after a cheap shot by Angle, Kevin Nash is able to to take advantage of Neidhart's head injury. He delivers several big boots to the head before pinning him for the wing.

Owen Hart is shown backstage watching a monitor, he's not happy.

    Match

Sandman makes his way to the ring first, carrying a kendo stick in one hand, a can of beer in the other. He sits on a ring corner as Andre makes his entrance with Ric Flair. Sandman keeps his position as Andre enters the ring and hands off his title belt to flair. The ref tells sandman to get rid of the can and the kendo stick. He gently puts them down in the corner, and the ref calls for the bell. However, as the bell goes Sandman quickly grabs both the can and the kendo stick. He throws the half full can at Andre's head, dousing it in beer, and quickly follows it up with hits from the kendo stick. The Ref immediately calls for the bell to be rung again, as Flair rushes back in the ring. But it is too late, Andre, still on his feet, is bloody, and Sandman is making his escape. Pausing at the top of the ramp to give Andre the finger.

    End Show

JR: "Welcome everyone to the greatest wrestling extravaganza of all time - Wrestlemania! This year's Wrestlemania 2010 is a Monday Night Grappling presentation and is sponsored by Skittles!"

The show kicked off as per tradition with a rendition of America The Beautiful by Lillian Garcia. After it was finished, Muhammad Hassan appeared on the titantron to boos. He said that song made him sick as America was anything but beautiful. He said tonight he would take out his anger on America by destroying their hero, Mr T, as the crowd booed.

Hurricane & Rosey (c) vs The Hollys vs Santino & Nunzio (Triple Threat Tag Team Elimination match for the Tag Titles)

    3604492690_03a7c496b8.jpg?v=0

The rules were that if one tag member was pinned the team would be eliminated.

Santino and Nunzio played the heels during the match although they had a decent amount of support from the New York crowd. Midway though the match Beth came down and watched from ringside. The announcers wondered who she was rooting for.

    First team eliminated: The Hollys

The Hollys were the first to be eliminated when Santino and Beth began arguing outside and Crash went out to intervene, leaving Hardcore Holly in a two-on-one situation against Hurricane and Rosey. Rosey hit the big splash for the 1-2-3. Afterwards Bob Holly yelled at his cousin that he warned him not to get distracted. Santino started laughing and Beth apologised to Crash who walked up the ramp shaking his head.

Second team eliminated: Santino & Nunzio

Santino went to hit Hurricane with a tag belt but Beth grabbed it off him. He turned around into a chokeslam from Hurricane who followed it with a splash off Rosey's shoulders for the pinfall victory. Hurricane and Rosey celebrated as Nunzio and Santino blamed Beth for the loss.

Winners and still WWE Tag Team Champions: Hurricane & Rosey

Backstage Jake Roberts cut a promo saying tonight was his destiny. He said he smelled what The Rock was cooking and what he smelled was fear. He said trust me one way or another he would win the vacant WWE Title.

    3604762131_355660504b.jpg?v=0

Some pre-recorded predictions were then shown from some wrestlers as they gave their thoughts on who would win tonight's main event.
Hardcore Holly: "Jake Roberts is one tough son of a bitch who's prepared to do anything. I think tonight he'll come out with the gold."

Big Show: "I've not had the chance to go toe-to-toe with Jake but I've been in some wars with Rock and I know what he can do. Personally I think he's gonna whoop Jake's ass and take the WWE Title. And when he does...I'll be waiting for him."

    3604762059_b1cb6f005d.jpg?v=0

Afterwards Shane was seen wearing his referee shirt and motivating Bam Bam. He told Bam Bam not to underestimate Big Show but said Bam Bam was the better man. King laughed and asked J.R. if he ever saw a referee motivate one of the competitors. JR said it was disgraceful.

Santino and Nunzio meanwhile were shown arguing with Beth backstage. Santino said Beth had cost them the tag titles. Beth said Santino had no one to blame but himself and walked off. Santino sulked and told Nunzio he hoped that dude Chyna would kick her butt.

Chyna vs Beth Phoenix (c) (For the Women's Title)

    3604539608_2e40124570.jpg?v=0

Both women came out to good receptions. Beth came out alone. Crash was shown watching the match backstage. The women shook hands before the match began and things were fairly even. Beth trying to outwrestle Chyna with Chyna attempting to overpower Beth.

The finish came with Beth attempting to hit her fisherman suplex finisher only for Chyna to reverse it into a powerbomb for the clean win.

Winner and new Women's Champion: Chyna

The announcers said Beth had landed on her head hard. Afterwards Santino came down into the ring and looked like he was there to help, but began laughing at her instead. He said she was a big loser. Chyna was behind him and didn't look impressed at his behaviour. She hit him with a powerbomb. Crash then came down to the ring and helped Beth to her feet as Santino crawled away in pain. The crowd urged them to kiss and they did so as Santino looked on in horror.

    3605580028_b578c31852.jpg?v=0

Crash jumped around the ring in delight. King laughed and said Santino was the biggest loser of all as Beth shook Chyna's hand and congratulated her on the win.

We then got some more pre-recorded predictions on who would win the title match:
Muhammad Hassan: "Why would I care what happens between those two? I should be the one in the main event, not them. I am undefeated and the true top superstar in this company. I am Muhammad Hassan."

Santino: "Is hard to say. Both are strong men. Rock is a strong guy but is full of himself. He's certainly better in the ring than he is on screen. Jake is tough son of the bitch too. I don't know who will win but I hope is Jake as Rock's head is too big as it is."

Bam Bam: "The truth is I don't give a damn about either one of these guys. But let's just say I wouldn't bet against Jake Roberts winning tonight."

Santino was shown backstage looking devastated at what just happened. Santino found Nunzio and said they should both go out and forget tonight. Nunzio said he would but that he had plans with someone. Santino asked who with and Chyna appeared. The pair of them walked off as Santino looked about ready to scream.

Big Show vs Bam Bam Bigelow (No DQ match / Special Ref: Shane McMahon)

    3603662595_e059aac390.jpg?v=0

The match quickly turned into a brawl and the pair fought into the crowd. Show threatened to hit Shane who reminded him he was the ref. Show looked to have the match won with a chokeslam but Shane stopped the count at 2. Show looked pissed as Shane sneered but Show chased him out of the ring and up the ramp. Show started hitting Shane but Bam Bam hit him with chair shots. Bam Bam walked over to the ramp area and pulled away a cover revealing a huge number of tables stacked on top of each other...

Shane meanwhile climbed the set as the announcers wondered what the hell he was doing. He looked about 40 feet in the air. Bam Bam placed Show on the tables as Shane crashed through Big Show. The fans chanted 'Holy ****'. Eventually Bam Bam dragged Show to the ring and another referee came down. Bam Bam covered Show but he kicked out before 3. Bam Bam then hit Show with some more chair shots and went up top and hit a diving headbutt and finally covered him for the 1-2-3 victory.

    Winner: Bam Bam Bigelow

Afterwards Bam Bam helped up Shane who was barely able to stand. King said Shane really was a giantkiller as Big Show was helped to the back by medics. The announcers wondered what this would mean for The Big Show.

    3605579616_330e64913a.jpg?v=0

Backstage Ayatollah Blassie was shown giving a pep talk to Hassan who said he was ready. JYD meanwhile was seen asking Mr T if he was ready who said he was and thanked JYD for his training. He said he would win the US Title back for America from that pitiful fool, Hassan.

The Rock was shown pacing back and forth backstage. He got a visitor - it was Miss Elizabeth who was showing the effects of Jake's slap. Rock said he was glad she was doing OK and here at Wrestlemania. Liz said she knew everyone was talking about the match and that she believed in The Rock and hoped he believed in himself...

Muhammad Hassan (c) w/ Ayatollah Blassie vs Mr T w/ Junkyard Dog (Cage Match for US Title)

    3603700439_f4f11c62cf.jpg?v=0

Mr T started off strongly and began throwing rights and lefts. Blassie meanwhile on the outside began throwing in weapons such as brass knucks and a cane. Eventually Hassan came more into the match and looked like he might escape but Mr T dragged him back. At one stage Mr T asked for the door to be open and was almost out, but Blassie slammed it on his head. JYD ran after him and chased him round the cage.

The finish came with both men attempting to leave at the same time. Mr T dropped to the floor and Hassan crawled out of the cage. Both men claimed the victory. It went to a replay and was shown that Mr T jumped to the floor marginally before Hassan crawled out.

Winner and new United States Champion: Mr. T

Hassan claimed this was yet more discrimination and got in the face of Mr. T and JYD. They both began beating on him as the crowd cheered and then threw him out on his ass. Mr. T carried the belt around the ring as 'Eye of the Tiger' played in the background. The announcers said this was a Wrestlemania moment.

After the match some final pre-recorded predictions were shown:
Hurricane: "Jake seems hell-bent on winning the title, but I know The Rock well and I know what he can do. I think Rock will do it."

Beth Phoenix: "Jake creeps me out. The Rock is a great guy and I'd love to see him win the title, but as much as I hate to say it I think Jake's going to beat him."

    3605580220_b5e29943df.jpg?v=0

The Rock was shown waiting to be interviewed. He said finally he'd come back to New York City and Wrestlemania. Rock said everyone was talking about this match and now it was the moment of truth. Rock said when all the smoke had cleared he'd be the one walking out with the WWE Title. Rock said he wasn't scared of anybody and pointed out this wasn't the first time he was going up against a tough S.O.B. from Texas who compared himself to a snake. Rock said there are some things he is scared of - going to the dentist, flying on an aeroplane, accidentally walking in on Jake rubbing his iddy biddy snake...but The Rock ain't scared of nobody. Rock said, simply put Jake Roberts, "Just bring it, bitch!"

At that point Shane McMahon came by being carried by two medics and went nose-to-nose with The Rock.

Shane: "You saw what I did to The Big Show out there. I proved what I'm about. I'm Shane O'Mac! I'm the giantkiller, baby! Now I've gotten rid of one problem, there's only one problem left - and that's you Rock."

Rock: "Oh The Rock saw what you did out there, Shane. And let The Rock get this straight you think The Rock's going to get taken out too is that it?"

    Shane: "Oh yeah that's-"

Rock: "It doesn't matter what you think! Oh yeah The Rock knows what you're about, Shane. The Rock knows you're a pansy-assed, silver-spoon sucking, no good son of a bitch. And The Rock can smell Jake Roberts's ass on your breath from here. But see it doesn't matter to The Rock what he has to go through because The Rock has made the promise to the people, to walk out of Wrestlemania the WWE Champion. If ya smellll what The Rock is cooking.

The build-up video was shown one final time hyping the main event.

Jake 'The Snake' Roberts vs The Rock (For the vacant WWE Title)

    3603761575_57afeea902.jpg?v=0

The crowd was mostly for The Rock but Jake had some vocal support as well from the New York crowd. At one stage The Rock hit a DDT on Jake but Jake kicked out. Jake also hit a Rock Bottom on The Rock but he too kicked out.

At this point Shane hobbled down to the ring. Rock talked trash to him as Jake went and got out his bag with Damien inside. The ref was about to DQ Jake but Shane knocked him out. Jake went to drape Damien on The Rock but Rock grabbed it and wrapped it around Jake's neck. Rock then hit a Rock Bottom and made the cover as a second ref ran down, but as the ref went to count to 3, Shane pulled him out of the ring and knocked him out too.

Rock chased Shane back into the ring and hit him with shots knocking him outside. As Rock turned around, Jake hit a DDT and made the cover. The first ref now recovered and made the count but The Rock got his shoulder up before 3. Jake then went to hit another DDT but The Rock got Jake with the Spinebuster and went to hit The People's Elbow. Jake managed to avoid the elbow and hit his second DDT of the match but Rock again kicked out. Rock then hit another spinebuster on Jake and this time landed the People's Elbow but this time Jake kicked out. The fans were now on their feet cheering for both guys.

The finish came as Rock went to hit a Rock Bottom only for Jake to reverse it into a DDT attempt, but The Rock reversed that into a Rock Bottom which he connected with for the 1-2-3 pinfall.

Winner and new WWE Champion: The Rock

    3605579690_219681cf06.jpg?v=0

After the match both men got a standing ovation. Jake picked up Damien and then the WWE Title. He looked at the belt for a few seconds and then passed it to The Rock with each man giving the other a nod. Shane McMahon came to and got right in Jake's face. He said Jake was a failure and asked what he had to say for himself. Jake hit Shane with a punch as the fans cheered and walked up the aisle. This left Shane alone in the ring with The Rock. As he picked himself up and turned around, The Rock hit him with the Rock Bottom. The show closed with The Rock holding the WWE Title aloft as the fireworks went off.

Thank you everyone for tuning into Monday Night Grappling. I hope you have enjoyed the shows.

This is the way I'd see my next event, Backlash, shaping up:

Bam Bam Bigelow vs The Rock (Last Man Standing match for WWE Title)

Shane McMahon vs Jake The Snake

Mr. T vs Muhammad Hassan (Flag-pole match for US Title)

Chyna vs Beth w/Crash (Women's Title)

Hurricane & Rosey vs The Hollys vs Santino & Nunzio (Over-the-top battle royale for the tag team titles)

This is what I would do in the long-term with my picks:

The Rock - I would intend to make Rock the focal point of the show and give him a decent reign. You've probably noticed I've been building Bam Bam up to be a strong force and Rock vs Bam Bam would be my next main feud. His conflict with my General Manager Shane McMahon would be ongoing and I think I'd also build towards a match with Hassan following the Bam Bam feud.

Long-term I would turn Rock heel and bring out his Hollywood Rock persona to freshen up his character. This would see feuds with Mr T, Big Show and a babyface Bam Bam. My plan for next year's Wrestlemania would be Hollywood Rock going up against a more anti-hero style Jake 'The Snake' with Jake finally winning the title.

Jake Roberts - I think Jake would be a great anti-hero on my roster due to his great promos, unique gimmick and bad-ass attitude. I would build him up strong so that next year he'd be the most popular star in the company. Over the next few months I'd pit him in feuds with Shane McMahon, then Bam Bam, then perhaps Hassan and have him also win the Royal Rumble.

Big Show - After my PPV I'd take Show off the air for a while then have him return with a vengeance on a mission to make Shane and Bam Bam pay for putting him out of action. I would keep him up around the title picture but wouldn't plan on putting the title back on him. I'd keep him a babyface but if I felt near the end of the year he was getting a bit stale I would turn him heel.

Shane McMahon - After the PPV I'd put him in a feud with Jake Roberts while also having him do everything to take the WWE Title off The Rock. Long-term as I said above I plan on turning Rock heel so I'd consider a Shane/Rock alliance for next year.

Bam Bam Bigelow - I've been building up Bam Bam and on my shows and both Rock and Bam Bam have a pinfall victory over one another so it's a natural match-up. I would put Bam Bam first into a feud with The Rock, then Jake Roberts. I'd give Bam Bam a short 1 month WWE Title reign in the summer period but then have Rock win it back shortly after. This time next year I see Bam Bam as a fully fledged babyface.

Muhammad Hassan - I allowed Mr T to win the US title but since it was a cage match I'd have Hassan claim he's still not been pinned. Hassan would win back the US Title and keep it a long while and would stay unpinned until a feud with The Rock where Rock would finally beat him. I might have Jake be the one to take the US Title off him long-term.

I'm not sure the Hassan character would be fresh enough to maintain by next year so I'd consider scrapping the character altogether and have Mark Copani turn his back on the character in an angle.

Santino - I've been building up a Santino/Crash feud and haven't yet pulled the trigger on it. Now Crash has ended up with Beth it's likely that I'd wait until Summerslam to pit the two of them off against one another in a hardcore match. If built correctly I think it would be great. Long-term I reckon I'd use the Santina aspect of Santino to further the Beth/Chyna feud.

Beth Phoenix - I've paired her with Crash and for the forseeable future would keep her as a babyface, but I think after a few months I'd turn her back heel and return her to Santino as part of my Crash/Santino feud.

Crash Holly - The plan would be to have the Holly Cousins win the tag titles at the next PPV and that way Crash would seem to have everything - the girl he loves and the tag titles. Then it would all go wrong. Hardcore Holly and Beth would be at odds with one another leading to the break-up of the tag team and a feud with Bob Holly. That would be before my planned angle between Santino and Crash.

In the end Crash would lose his tag title belt, his relationship with Bob Holly and his relationship with Beth - and Santino would play a part in all of this leading to a Summerslam match where Crash would seek revenge.

Hardcore Holly - At the next PPV he'd win the tag titles but then have a falling out with Crash leading to a feud. Long-term I'd keep Hardcore Holly a heel and would likely place him in a feud with Junkyard Dog.

Mr T - I had him win the US Title for the Wrestlemania moment but at the next PPV Hassan would win back the title. Mr. T and Hassan would feud for about 2 more months before I'd place Mr. T in a feud with Shane O'Mac. Long-term I'd like to see my heel Hollywood Rock take on Mr T in a big angle with Rock coming out on top of that.

Hurricane & Rosey - I'd keep them in the tag picture for the next couple of months. Long-term I'd break them up and have Hurricane feud with the likes of Santino, Nunzio and Crash and perhaps have Rosey turn heel and feud with Hurricane and some of the other big guys like Bam Bam and Junkyard Dog.

Junkyard Dog - Would keep him at lower mid-card for the first few months after the PPV, then have him challenge for the US Title. Would try to keep him a babyface.

Chyna - A long-term feud with Beth would be on the cards and I'd throw 'Santina' into the mix of that as I reckon it would prove good comedy affect. Also have plans involving Nunzio - see below.

Nunzio - As I have now paired Nunzio off with Chyna for entertainment value, long-term when 'Santina' makes her appearance I think it would be good to also see the appearance of Nunzio's 'sister' - 'Nunziola'.

Miss Elizabeth - Long-term a heel turn would be on the cards and an alliance with Shane McMahon against Jake.

Freddie Blassie - Would keep him with Hassan for a few months as 'Ayatollah' Blassie before turning him babyface and perhaps pitting him with JYD or Bam Bam.

That brings an end to my write-up. I hope I can count on you to Smackdown your vote for Monday Night Grappling as Boards Draft Winner 2009...

Live from Seattle, Monday Night Volt opens with JR welcoming viewers.

JR: Tonight's main event is one for the ages folks. General Manager Stephanie McMahon is giving WWE Champion John Cena a major headache, lets play the tape.

    Stephanie-McMahon.jpg
A tape is played on the titantron.
Due to the complications of last week there are still uncertainties as to what the main event at Conclusion will be. As Volt General Manager I cannot simply throw another superstar into the mix without a good reason to. Therefore I have decided that John Studd will have to prove his worth by means of a Gauntlet match. Studd will take on 4 superstars, one after the other until he is defeated or until he defeats them all. If he succeeds in doing so then he will uncategorically deserve a championship shot. Due to our current Champion's willingness to intervene in my matches, I have decided to impose a penalty on Cena, should he or anyone else interfere in this match up. Should this match be tampered with, Big John Studd will be added to the match immediately.

JR: So there you have it folks, Big John Studd will take on four superstars, one after the other.

Match One: Ivory & Victoria vs. Jacqueline & Candice Michelle
    ivory_calapr99.jpg
GM Stephanie McMahon has imposed the following rules on this match up.
No Slaps, raking of the eyes, pulling of the hair or skimpy attire.

Returning Ivory and Jacqueline oversee the climax of this tag team matchup, technically impressive from both sides with Jacqueline scoring the victory with a reverse DDT. Victoria ambushes her and hits a Widows Peak before exiting.

JR: Tazz, I'm just hearing some major news. Our already confirmed Conclusion headliners have indeed been booked into competitive action tonight! Listen to this, Harley Race is to square up against LT Taylor and Shelton Benjamin in a handicap match while WWE Champion John Cena will take on The Public Enemy, also in a handicap match! Crazy!

Match Two: Parking Lot Brawl, The Nasty Boys vs. RTC
This match speaks for itself, brutal encounter with our WWE tag team champions managing to plant The Goodfather with a double suplex through a car window for the 3-count. However, is it now advantage Public Enemy with our champs only having 6 days to recover from the effects of such a battle?

Marc Mero is backstage at a coffee table, he turns around at the wrong time and ends up spilling it all over DDP. After some trash talking, it inevitably ends up in a fist fight. Coincidentally, the locker room they end up in is Kanes. They stop for a second, both backing out of the room, closing the door behind them.
Camera pans to them two outside, squaring up again, telling each other how Sunday will be when the other will get what's coming to him. Suddenly, the door from behind them is kicked down by Kane, never one to pass up a good ass whoopin'. He leaves them both floored with big boots as the camera fades out.

Match 3: The Public Enemy vs. John Cena

Before his opponents arrive, Cena addresses the crowd ahead of Conclusion.

This past week has seen a certain shift in the balance of things. This will not phase John Cena, The Untouchable One and long reigning W..W..E...Champion. I have climbed mountains before and succeeded, a past it team of oversized goons can't hinder my destiny. Lets get this overwith

Up against it for the majority of the contest, Cena finds himself in an all too common bliss of luck. A severe clash of heads by the Enemy sees Cena win by Knockout. For good measure he hits Rock with an F-U onto Grunge. The Public Enemy will need to be more careful if they're to mount a challenge for the belts on Sunday, Cena can sit back and watch Race and Studd now.

Match 4: Big John Studd's Gauntlet Obstacle
First up is Chavo Guerrero. Within 2 minutes tap out to a fierceful Bearhug.
The follow ups are indeed the 3 men who will compete for the Intercontinental Title at Conclusion. Mero lasts a good 5 minutes but ultimately succumbs to a Samoan Drop and then a Big Splash. DDP laughs at Mero on his way towards the ring. With Studd beginning to tire slightly he goes to work on keeping the big man down. An attempted Diamond Cutter fails and DDP walks into a huge Powerbomb for the 3-count. As the bell rings for a 3rd time, his final opponent arrives. The Big Red Machine takes advantage of his fatigue and comes very close to victory, the camera switches to an edgy John Cena sitting on a couch in the back, cheering on Kane. As the camera switches back we see Kane on the top turnbuckle awaiting a clothesline. Studd catches Kane and reverses into a pumphandle slam. Kane is finished off with that same Big Splash from above. BJS smiles sadistically as he revels in the carnage he's created.

Kevin Kelly is standing by Harley Race:

KK: Harley, having just seen Big John Studd push his way through 4 superstars, what are your thoughts on the main event now?
HR: Big John Studd prides himself on brute strength, now I may not be as strong as him but let me tell you this. There aint no big brain in that head of his. He aint nothin' but 6 feet, 7 inches of crap. I will exploit his weaknesses on Sunday to once again be crowned King. You wait and see.
KK: And finally, your thoughts on this handicap match against Shelton Benjamin and the gigantic LT Taylor.
HR: There's nothing to think about, just something that will be there to witness after all is said and done, a preview of what's to come. Me with my hand raised in the centre of that ring.

Match 5: Harley Race vs Shelton Benjamin & LT Taylor.

Technically brilliant for the first while with counters galore. Taylor's presence looked to have Race in trouble but he manages to send LT over the top rope and nail a piledriver on Benjamin for the win. His celebrations are brought to a halt by the emergence of Cena. He pummels him endlessly unil BJS once again arrives, presumably to pick up where he left off. He enters the ring where Cena looks at him expressionlessly. Suddenly he turns to Race who has just stumbled to his feet and boots him in the face. He follows up with a powerbomb. With the crowd stunned, Cena grabs a microphone and begins to talk.

NOBODY CAN CONTROL MY DESTINY! Ladies and Gentlemen, you and your GM, and your beloved Harley Race are victims of my sheer untouchability. You all actually believed that my destiny was out of my own hands. Studd, finish the job.

    bigjohnstudd1.jpg

With that, a further powerbomb s delivered. JR delegates his usual disbelief as the show draws to a close.

    NWA TV Week 4 29.03.09

    NWA_LOGO_A_0562.jpg

    This week on NWA TV:

    - Last week’s show saw the “The Slap Heard around the World” as Ted Turner responded in the most direct way possible to Vince McMahon’s proposed takeover of the NWA! The world’s media has been abuzz with reports of this incident as the NWA has received an unprecedented amount of media coverage in the past 7 days. The you-tube video detailing Turner’s sensational response to McMahon has become the most viewed item in the history of the hugely popular website. Even more exciting for fans of the NWA was the unannounced return of Ricky Steamboat, who came to the aid of Turner at the end of last week’s broadcast! This week Steamboat has requested that he be given airtime to address HHH and Vince McMahon, the men who tried to end his career.

    - Also this week, the board of the NWA will release a statement. They have become increasingly concerned that the furore surrounding the future of the NWA will overshadow next weeks massive PPV, Fallout. The board has come up with an official ruling that they think will be satisfactory for all parties!

    - Last week’s show saw a shocking turn of events as Eddy Guerrero reverted to his old habits and double crossed the honourable crowd favourite Tiger Mask. Similarly, Konnan, whose dark influence over Guerrero has been increasingly obvious, again jealously attacked his compatriot El Hijo del Santo. The dastardly Fabulous Freebirds also left their imprint on the last week’s proceedings. Firstly they manipulated Kensuke Sasaki into defending his IWGP Heavyweight title against Terry Gordy by torturing his protégé Katsuhiko Nakajima. Then, ever the opportunists, they capatilised on Eddy Guerrero’s evil turn on Tiger Mask to secure the Number one Contendership for the Rock n Roll Express’ tag titles at Fallout. With tensions between these various superstars threatening to break out into anarchy and chaos, The NWA board has acted swiftly to put both sides together in a monumental 10-man tag match for tonight’s Main Event! Literally anything could happen on this one, such is the hatred between the various participants!

    - For several weeks, the newly-renamed Smash has suffered at the hands of loathsome bullies Lex Luger and Nikita Koloff, collectively known as the International Alliance. This week Smash has promised to bring in some re-inforcements to even up the numbers. Could we be about to see one of the all time great tag groups re-united in the NWA!?

    - This week's show will also have the crowning of the first ever NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion, as our spectacular round Robin challenge reaches its conclusion. Already Kota Ibushi and Hiroshi Hase have secured valuable wins, while tonight Ibushi faces off against Katsuhiko Nakajima!

    Opening Segment:

A member of the NWA Board stands in ring, microphone in hand.

“Ladies and gentlemen, the following is a prepared statement on behalf of the NWA Board in response to recent events surrounding the ownership of the NWA.

It has been with great concern that the NWA Board has watched the events of the past few weeks unfold before our eyes. The NWA faces an uncertain future as McMahon remains adamant that he will eventually purchase a majority share in the company, while Mr Ted turner remains equally adamant that this should never happen. With this in mind, the board of the NWA has taken swift and decisive action in an attempt to resolve this issue before it gets completely out of hand.

We in the NWA have a long and storied tradition of resolving issues inside the wrestling ring, the old fashioned way. For the past week we have been indated by calls from Ricky steamboat, demanding a match with HHH, the man who very nearly ended his career. In the light of HHH’s actions, the NWA has decided to grant this wish. The Main Event of our upcoming PPV, NWA Fallout will see a singles match between Steamboat and HHH, where their feud will be settled for once and for all. However this still leaves the unresolved issue of the ownership of the NWA. There had been suggestions in some quarters that the NWA board should sanction a fight between Mr Turner and Mr McMahon. However, the Board is of the view that the fans of the NWA deserve better in return for their hard earned cash and have no desire to see two untrained 60 year old men fight it out in a wrestling ring. This is not the WWE after all!

It has instead been decided that Mr Turner will accompany Steamboat to the ring and Mr McMahon will likewise be in his son in law’s corner. The match will be an “I Quit” match, but with a difference. The only way that the match can end is if either billionaire throws the towel in on behalf of his respective fighter. The winning billionaire will take sole ownership of the NWA, while the losers must leave the NWA forever! By giving both Mr Turner and Mr McMahon a direct hand in the finish to the match we believe that we have ensured that the result of the match will be absolutely final and neither man can have any complaint with the outcome.

    Thank you for your time.”

The crowd takes a second to digest the magnitude of this huge announcement before bursting into cheers at the prospect of their hero Ricky steamboat ridding the NWA of the evil McMahon forever!

Match Number 1. Round Robin Challenge for the NWA Junior Heavyweight title.

    Kota Ibushi Vs Katsuhiko Nakajima

    ibushine0.jpg200px-Katsuhiko_Nakajima.JPG

This is the final match in our mini tournament to crown the inaugural NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion. With a win tonight, spectacular high-flyer Kota Ibushi will be crowned the first ever champion! Seated at ringside is interested onlooker Hiroshi Hase, the third man in this tournament who also has a win to his credit.

The match up itself sees Ibushi dominate from the opening bell. It is obvious from the outset that Nakajima is far from 100% and appears to still be suffering the after effects of the brutal beating handed out to him by Terry Gordy last week. In the early going he has no answer to the quick fire offence of his compatriot. However in spite of this he shows the fighting spirit that has become a trademark of his mentor Kensuke Sasaki in refusing to give in and by kicking out of Ibushi’s various finishing moves. As Ibushi becomes more and more frustrated, he attempts riskier and riskier moves in his desperate attempts to win the coveted title. It is one of these high risk maneuvers that will eventually prove to be his downfall. In attempting a 630 degree splash, Ibushi makes a slight miscalculation allowing Nakajima the opportunity to roll out of the way and secure the win with a small package roll-up!

Winner in 13.45 by pinfall, Katsuhiko Nakajima

The win for Nakajima has thrown the result of the tournament into disarry. The three men have ended up tied; having all won one match and lost one match each! In the ring, Nakajima smirks at Ibushi and taps his forehead as if to indicate he has outsmarted him. Frustrated with himself Ibushi roughly pushes his opponent. Hase adds to the chaos by entering the ring to have his say. An announcement on the big screen from an NWA official puts an end to this unseemly scuffling:

“It is obvious that there is absolutely nothing to choose between these three fine athletes as evidenced by the stalemate in our Round Robin Challenge. With this in mind, we are still without a Junior Heavyweight champion. The only fair and equitable solution is a triple threat match, pitting Kota Ibushi vs Katsuhiko Nakajima vs Hiroshi Hase. The match will take place at NWA Fallout this Sunday and there must be a winner, who will be crowned our inaugural Junior champion!. The very best of luck gentlemen!”

    Backstage segment. Fabulous Freebirds Promo

    TheFabulousFreebirds.jpg

Al three members of the Freebirds, Michael Hayes,”Beautiful” Bobby Eaton and “Bam Bam” Terry Gordy are backstage to give their thoughts on Sunday’s upcoming PPV, NWA Fallout. Michael hayes, as usual is doing the talking.

“Ooooh Baby NWA Fallout is just around the corner and it’s a big night for the Freebirds. Not only do myself and Brother Bobby have a shot at the tag titles, but Brother Terry has the chance to become New Japan’s IWGP champion!

Firstly let me address you Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson. You boys have ran from us for years now and each and every time you’ve escaped by the skins of your teeth! But this time boys, there ain’t no escaping the facts. I’ve pulled a master stroke in bringing Bobby here to the NWA! Face it boys, “Beautiful” Bobby here knows you boys better than you even know each other. He’s made a career out of kicking your sorry asses all over this country. And if you thought he was good back then as a member of the Midnight Express, wait ‘till ya get a load of him as a member of the Freebirds, baby, ‘cos hes taken it to a whole different level!

So if I were you boys I’d make sure that every second of every day I was wearing those World Title belts because come Sunday night, you they ain’t gonna be yours no more, not for a long, long time! And do me a favour boys, shine ‘em up good and proper, ‘cos they sure are gonna look pretty draped over mine and Bobby’s shoulders as as we go a ‘rockin and a ‘rollin’ back to Alabama for a celebration Freebird style!

And as for you Kensuke Sasaki, well you’ve really gotten up Brother Terry’s nose in a way I’ve never seen before. You see big ole Terry here, well, he don’t say too much. But when Terrys p*ssed off, he does his talkin’ with his fists and believe you me, He is VERY p*ssed off! All I can say Sasaki, is you must have sushi instead of brains. Why in all damnation would you come half way across the world and pick a fight you have no hope of winning with the biggest dog you can find in the yard? And as if big Terry wasn’t the only problem you had, you’ve got to keep those slanty little eyes of yours peeled for me and Bobby on the outside too! I’ll say this very slowly, ‘cos I know you English ain’t too good; Not only are you going to get beaten to within an inch of your life, but he’s taking your IWGP Title as well, just to rub a little salt into the wound!

So the long and short of it is this. At NWA Fallout, the Freebirds are takin’ all the gold, baby! And with the gold, comes power on both sides of the world and with power comes money. And if there one thing that rocks Fabulous Freebirds’ world its power and money! “

Match Number 2 Smash vs Lex Luger (w/ Nikita Koloff)

    barryautographimage_small.jpgluger_big.jpg

Our next match sees Smash again seeking retribution for the numerous beating he has suffered at the hands of the International Alliance over the last few weeks. He appears this week with the Stars and Stripes of the US flag incorporated into his usual face-paint, a direct dig at the unpatriotic duo acrss the ring. the match itself is a hard fought heavyweight affair, which goes back and forth between two physically well matched opponents. Smash eventually prevails in a bruising, hated encounter, pinning his opponent in after a running powerslam.

Winner: Smash by pinfall in 12.58 minutes

Smash’s joy at his victory is short lived as he is cornered by the evil duo and seems set to receive what has become his weekly dose of punishment from the International Alliance. Before they can have their way however, a familiar theme tune booms around the auditorium! The sounds of “Pain and Destruction” the iconic theme tune of tag tesm legends Demolition draws a massive roar of approval. This is nothing to the ovation that greets Ax and Crush as they emerge from the backstage area aboard two massive Harley Davidsons, customized in full Demolition regalia! As they roll towards the ring, the cowardly Luger and Koloff beat a hasty retreat leaving the ring clear for an historic Demolition reunion! Ax takes to the microphone:

    demolition.JPG

”Guess who’s back from the Demolition yard!? As always, I’m not one for messing about, lets get straight down to business. It seems our old friend Smash has been having his fair share of troubles with those jackasses the International Alliance. Now Smash was never one to back down from a fight, but like all true cowards Luger and Koloff have been playing the numbers game. Well boys, looks like those days are over as Smash has called in the cavalry and they’ve arrived, breathing fire and spitting thunder!

I’ve already got a contract signed up for Crush and Smash to face you boys this Sunday at Fallout, and believe you me you cowards are about to enter a world of pain and destruction, the likes of which you’ve never encountered in your miserable little lives! Ya see there’s nothing we like better than handing out a good beating and my two human wrecking balls have you gutless maggots firmly in their sights!

International Alliance, this Sunday at NWA fallout Ax is gonna AXE you, Smash is gonna SMASH you and Crush is gonna CRUSH YOUUUU!”

    NWA_LOGO_A_0562.jpg

Match number 3. HHH vs Dave Taylor

    HHH_opt.jpgtaylor3.jpg

As part of the NWA’s decision to place HHH in the main event, he has also been forced to participate in this NWA TV match. His opponent is well respected veteran Dave Taylor, head trainer at the NWA’s academy, mainstay of the NWA roster and personal friend of Ricky Steamboat. HHH is accompanied to the ring as always by Mr McMahon. The match is nothing more than an inconvenience to HHH, who is at the top of his game and in incredible physical condition. The older Taylor is no match for Helmsley who makes short work of him before dispatching him ruthlessly with the Pedigree.

Winner in 1.47 minutes: HHH by pinfall

Mr. McMahon is straight into the ring afterwards, microphone in hand:

    vince-mcmahon.jpg

    *Classic evil McMahon laugh

“Little does the NWA Board realise Hunter, but with this “I Quit” match idea of theirs, they’ve played exactly into our hands. Think about if for just a second. Have I ever been the type of man who just throws the towel in and quits? Did I quit when Turner beat me 80 weeks in a row in the Monday night ratings? Did I ever even contemplate quitting when the government had me in front of a federal judge during the steroid trials? Did I throw the towel in when Austin kicked my ass on a weekly basis, or when my own children bought WCW from under my nose? So why the hell do those incompetent fools think that now, when my goal of owning the NWA is so close I can taste it, I’d just throw the towel in and quit? Vince Kennedy McMahon has always prided himself on doing whatever it takes to get what he wants as you well know from personal experience Ted Turner. Mark my words Ted; this Sunday at NWA Fallout will be no different.

But Ted Turner, now you have to ask yourself that same question? Are you the kind of man who can stand idly by and watch as HHH, the finest killing machine in the world physically dissects and torments your friend Ricky Steamboat? Are you cruel and heartless enough to ignore the tears in the eyes of Steamboat’s children as they watch their daddy being beaten to a pulp from the front row? Are you the kind of man who can ignore his conscience as it screams at him to throw in the towel, all for the sake of his beloved company? This Sunday night at NWA Fallout that question will be answered for once and for all and the real Ted Turner will have to bear his soul for the eyes of the world to see.

Just so you Southern yokels are in no doubt as to the violence you can expect to rain down upon Ricky Steamboat this Sunday, here’s a little sneak preview. Get to work Hunter…”

Helmsley attacks the fallen Taylor viciously, punding him into a bloody pulp. Taking his trusty sledgehammer from vince, he punts him in the back rpeatedly.

A chant slowly breaks out from the crowd, barely audible at first but rising into a cacophony of noise. “Steamboat, Steamboat” is the chant as the crowd rises to their feet clapping and stamping their feet as in the ring mcmahon explodes into an apoplectic firt of rage. As if on cue, steamboat bursts from the backstage area to the aid of his fallen friend, sending McMahon and HHH scuttling back down the ailse towards the dressing room area. As paramedics tend to Taylor, Steamboat stares the WWE ownder and son-in-law down with a demonic look of hatred in his eyes that the NWA faithful have never seen before.

Backstage Segment. Eddy Guerreo and Konnan Promo.

    konnan.jpgeddie_guerrero.jpg

Eddy is deeply agitated at the fact that his World Title match up against Tiger Mask will not be the Main Event at Fallout.

    Konnan;
"You see Eddy this is excatly the type of disrespect that I've been telling you about from the powers that be in the NWA. Sunday night was to be your first title defence, the first step on the road to one of the all time great title reigns. Yet the Board of the NWA show you absolutely no reespect, they bump you down into the mid-card, to slum it with the rest of the jabronis. Time and time again you and I have been the victims of discrimination. You are the great Eduardo Gory Guerrero, the crown jewel in one of the greastest wrestling dynasties in the history of this sport. You deserve better mi amigo, much much better."

Eddy: "You know holmes you're right as usual. Once again the powers that be have slapped us in the face and trated us like worthless jobbers. But you know what Konnan? My father, the great Gory Guerrero taught me a long long time ago about disrespect. He taught me that respect isn't something that you're given. Respect is something that you have to take for yourself.. And Sunday night at Fallout, whether the NWA likes it or not, i'm going to make an example out of Tiger mask. I'm goin to beat respect into him and take back the dignity that the NWA have taken from me.

And Sayama, juat like my father taught me that valuable lesson when I was just a child, you too would do well to heed the lesson that I taught you last week. At Fallout you have to know that I wil lie, cheat, steal, kick, bite, scratch and do whatever it takes to keep this gold around my waist. Think of me as your alter ego Sayama, the Black Tiger to your Tiger Mask. There is no more dangerous enemy Sayama, than the man that has no morals, the man for whom morals and values like yours are nothing but an afterthought. At Fallout be prepared for the worst, because take it from me, the worst WILL happen."

Konnan: "And just like you are fighting to break the chains of disrespect Eduardo, so i continue the battle against El Hijo del Santo. Sunday night! NWA Fallout! Caballero vs mascara! Hair vs Mask! The biggest match in the history of the lucha tradition. Sunday nights the street of Mexicap will be quiet, every television in every hiome will be tuned to the NWA as Konnan seeks to gain imortality by becoming the first man to take the legendary mask of Santo. This is my chance to gain respect, this is my chance to put my name up in lights. This is MY time to shine, to step out from the shadow of Santo: The era of Konnan has begun!"

Match Number 4. Main Event. 10 man tag team match

    Fabulous Freebirds/Eddy Guerrero/Konnan vs Rock N' Roll Express/Kensuke Sasaki/Tiger Mask/El Hijo del Santo

Our main event of the evening sees the main protaganists of the most heated feuds take sides in apitched battle to whet the appetites of the fans of the NWA for Sunday night's PPV! This has the potential to be the most heavyweight, most chaotic and most hotly contested slobberknocker in NWA history.

    kensuke.jpg

It is not long before the referee loses control of proceedings in the ring. Kensuke Sasaki, insulted by the bigoted goading of Michael Hayes makes a beeline straight for the Freebirds, lighting up their monstrous heavyweight Terry Gordy with stiff chops and punches. He exacts a small modicum of revenge for the mental and physical torture to ehicj he has been subjected by powerbombing the massive Gordy through a ringside table in a remarkable feat of strength!

    180px-El_Santo.jpg

El Hijo del Santo, appalled at the jealous actions of Konnan over the last few weeks brawls with his sworn enemy all over the arena spilling into the bleachers and dangerously close to the crowd. Producing a scissors in a symbol for the stipulations of their Hair vs Mask match, it is obvious that he is beyond irate. Only for the swift actions of NWA security officials, who subdue him and drag him to the back, the consequences for Konnan could have been extremely serious.

    324582_f260.jpg

The Rock N Roll Express meanwhile make straight for the Fabulous Freebirds. Isolating their lifelong enemy, Bobby Eaton they re-acquaint him with the full force of their dazzling repertoire of double team moves!

With chaos erupting all over the arena, the two contenders for the NWA Title are left alone in the ring, face to face. The atmosphere is electric as Tiger mask shows he is not in the slightest bit intimidated by repeatedly slapping the eranged Guerrero across the face. The slaps only seem to infuriate Guerrero, whoreplies ijn kind. there ensues a spectacular show of one upmanship as each man tries to undo the other combing stiff realistic offence with spectacular high flying moves. It is Tiger masl who comes out on top on this occasion, nailing his patented tombstone piledriver to leave Guerrero laying in the middle of the ring. Taking Guerrero's NWA title in his hands, Sayama mounts the top rope and holds the belt aloft.

    tigermask.jpg

Is this a scene that will be repeated on Sunday night at Fallout? The Ted Turner Arena lies in chaos as matters in the NWA have come to the boil in spectacular and violent circumstances! How will they be resolved? One thing is for sure, the Fallout will be immense, this Sunday night on PPV!

Closing Segment. Backstage promo. Ricky Steamboat is with Ted Turner. Turner holds a towel draped oer his shoulder.

    ricky_steamboat.jpg

    *Steamboat speaks

"Vincent Kennedy McMahon. You have been a scourge on the wrestling business since that fateful day you took the reigns from your father many yeas ago. I've always despised you McMahon, sometimes from afar, sometimes at closer quarters. You're the man who took our honourable sport and made it into a cartoon for your own gratification. You took hard working wrestlers and made them into so-called entertainers. You took the teritories and laid waste to them and left promoters and wrestlers with no means to feed their families. You took the legacy of the wrold title and you spat on it and even put it around your own waist to feed your ravenous ego. You filled your promotion with whores and bimbos and had your way with them as your wife and family looked on all because you had the power to do so. You let your dressing room favourites do as they pleased and lost the respect of every other wreslter on your books. You closed down your competition and subjected the world to the mediocre fruits of you total monopoly.

That I could live with, McMahon. It is after all your company, your business to with it as you please. But now Vince, you've crossed the line. The rise of the NWA these past few yearts has been by far the proudest achievement of my career. From day one I've been here. I wrestled in gym halls and bingo arenas often at my own expense to put this company on the map. I carried it on my back inthose early days whge no one else would give the NWA the time of day. My blood, sweat and tears I have poured into this company and now, as it stands on the cusp of greatness, along you come with your muscle bound son in law to take it all away from me?

Let me be very clear McMahon and this comes straight from the heart. You talk about winning at all costs, you talk about having no conscience. You may have no conscience McMahon, but are you prepared to kill? Bacause that is the only way that you will walk out of this arena as the owner of the NWA, Vince. At NWA Fallout, the only way you'll win is not because Ted Turner throws a towel in. The only way that you'll win is over MY DEAD BODY."

    Screen fades to black.

XWE - Rebelution PPV Press Conference.
    Venue: MSG Conference Hall

    PPVPressConference.jpg

    With many different media outlets and about 500 fans in attendance, XWE held a press conference about the upcoming Rebelution PPV earlier today, in which all of the XWE roster were in attendance for, sitting at the tables on stage. Here is a report of how the press conference went;

XWE General Manager, Jenny McCarthy welcomed everyone to the press conference and talked a little bit about the history of XWE and proceeded to talk about the upcoming pay per view, Rebelution, which is set to take place at Madison Square Gardens, in New York City.
    MSG.jpg

Jenny: “We have a packed card this upcoming Sunday at Rebelution, and we are very happy to announce that the event is now sold out! I want to thank all of our fans for making this, our biggest pay per view of the year, even more special. Firstly I would like to introduce Elix Skipper, who would like to say a few words.”

Skipper: “As some of you may know, as of yet, I do not have a match on Sunday…So I‘d like to change this. There is only one opponent I want to face, someone I believe is holding me back in my career and proved that even further at Warzone this past week, costing me a win…and that‘s you Simon (Diamond)…I‘m sick of it, your not my manager, your ruining my career and I‘m not having anymore of it”
Skipper then walked off, while Simon Diamond is left sitting stunned in the background.

Jenny: “Well, with that said, in this situation. Elix…your match has been granted. Yet another match added to our growing card folks, Elix Skipper vs. Simon Diamond”

“Now, I want to address another matter which was brought up on this past weeks Warzone show. The X-Division title will be put on the line as champion Christopher Daniels defends against Rey Mysterio & Evan Bourne in a 3-way match. I would like to add one further detail, which until now, none of the three competitors knew….this match will be a, first ever….Ultimate X match. It will consist of two cables, connected to metal structures rising from the four corners of the ring, which cross 15 feet above the middle of the ring. The title will be suspended where the cables cross. The winner is the first person to get the title.”

    Christopher Daniels then stepped up to the podium;
“No challenge is too great for the Fallen Angel, I have no doubt that this Sunday at Rebelution, I will leave with my title, just as how I arrived. No competitors, no cables, nothing, will stand in my way.”

Jenny: “Now I would like to address a matter of teacher vs. student, a match I have granted on request of both competitors on order to settle their differences.”
Ace Steel then interrupts “For me, this match is about respect, something Cabana has never shown to me. He never credited me for helping him in this business, instead he chooses to throw it in my face. So this Sunday, I plan to get all the respect I deserve…once and for all.” Steel then stares down Cabana, who is seated across the stage from Steel.

Jenny: “At this time, I would like to welcome our current Women‘s champion, Natalya Neidhart.”

Neidhart: “This Sunday I face a challenge of defending my title against, not one, but two women, who have both made an impact in XWE since their arrival. It is a challenge I have preparing very hard for and will face head on. I hope on Sunday I can entertain, as well as, retain what I have worked so hard for.”

Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, along with recent addition, Scott D’Amore come forward to speak. Cody: “We don‘t care about any damn Canadians (refering to Team Canada, Williams & Young), they never were a threat to us before so I can‘t see that changing anytime soon. There is a simple reason why we have these tag titles around our waist and they don‘t….We‘re better than you!” Rhodes and DiBiase walk off looking smug, while D’Amore follows behind, not looking at all pleased.

Jenny: “Right now, we are going to talk about the upcoming, much anticipated main event. The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels, will be putting his title on the line against long time rival, Jeff Jarrett. At this time, I would like to welcome, your reigning champion, Shawn Michaels.”

Michaels: “I really appreciate all the support shown to me down thru the years. It’s times like this (looking at the title), that make it all worth while. Now this Sunday, I have to defend my title against someone, I can only describe as a coward. This has been a long time coming…and something I would hope, will finally be put to rest. I know Jeff Jarrett will bring everything he has got to this match, but I plan to bring everything I’ve got…and then some…and I hope to be celebrating in none other, than New York City, come the end of the Rebelution. Thank You.”
    HBK-pressconference-fin.jpg

HBK chants ring around the hall as Shawn Michaels leaves the stage. Jenny then thanked the media and the fans for attending today’s event.

    Defiant Discussion
    ]
    Episode 1
    hosted by Dana White

The show opens in a Prime Time Like Studio. Dana White introduces us to the first show and tells us last weeks show will be the main focus tonight, plus he would be announcing some matches for the nemxt instalment of Defiance. He introduces his first guest – "The Anarchist" Doug Williams. White asks him about his match last week. Surprisingly, Williams informs White he felt somewhat humbled, that he never expected Lawler to have that intensity still in him. He said he achieved one thing in the match, and that was people to sit up and take notice of him, as for too long people viewed him as a token brit. He hopes the fans can forgive him for his previous outbursts. A shocked White thanks Williams as we go to the first break.

    Commercial Break

We return and the guests are Cruiserweight tournament finalists Mike Quackenbush and James Gibson. they talk trash at each other, one telling the other they know each others repertoire back to front and that they cannot be surprised. Gibson in particular was very glib and guaranteed victory. Im marches TBK who is annoyed about not being invited to the show. TBK tells White that he was robbed by Quack the previous week and that he should not have been allowed challenge for his place in the tournament match. White tells him it was nobodies fault but his own. TBK slams his hands off the desk and storms off stage leaving White laughing in his chair.

Next we are shown footage of Tomko and Bernards open challenge for next weeks Defiance. He is joined in the studio by the champions. Whites asks why an open challenge to which Bernard replies that they have been so dominant both here and in previous erstwhile promotions, why not? White comes back with saying that there is an abundance of great teams in the promotion at which is just laughed off by the champions. We cut to an empty arena, where we see Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin standing in the middle of the ring. They tell White they are sorry to interrupt, but it is they who will answer the call of the champions and will face them next week, on Defiance.

    Commercial Break

White introduces us to the current PWR World Champion – CM Punk. On asked how he will be able to handle not one, but two challengers next week, Punk in his usual arrogant way answers that when you have a gift like him, you can take on as many pretenders as you wish, and still come out on top. White asks Punk does he fear either man, especially given KENTAs well documented annoyance for Punk stealing his Go To Sleep finishing manoeuvre. Characteristically, Punk shrugs this off, saying that KENTA cannot even speak English properly and he should not even be in the mix here. When asked about Low Ki, Punk says he realises the mysterious Ki poses a few legitimate threats, but he should have been involved in the cruiserweight match, not a world title match. White tells Punk he has a little surprise for him. Out walk both challengers and they stand over a speechless Punk as we go off the air.

    SWL

    Week 1:

    Live from Las Vegas, Nevada!

    funk_terry.jpg

Terry Funk saunters to the ring to a chorus of boos. He climbs in the ring, hoists the belt in the air, beats his chest maniacally, and lets out an animalistic roar. He grabs a mic and cuts a promo. He tells those in attendance that he’s getting bored of the competition here in the SWL. He’s taken away so many superstars’ ability to walk at this stage that it’s all getting a bit redundant. And there is nothing anybody can do about it...

    sting+1.jpg

Sting’s music hits. He gets a decent pop. He cuts a promo from a ramp telling Funk he’s maniacal, he’s crazy, he’s champion, but most importantly, he’s a son-of-a-b*tch. Literally. Yes, he’s a great champion, but damn it, as a person, he’s nothing but no-class a**hole. The fans deserve a champion who they can look up to; not an idiot like Funk. An idiot who happens to be a coward. Funk literally starts spitting rage in the ring, which bring a rye smile to Sting’s face. Funk takes exception and announces on the mic that he’s no coward; he’s champion because he’s the f***ing best. He asks Sting who he thinks he is. The crowd boos. Sting challenges Funk to a match later. But only if it’s a title match. Funk laughs. Sting tries to sweeten the deal – Funk gets to name the stipulation. Funk laughs again; while also moving to lean on the ropes intently waiting for Sting’s next move. Sting says he won’t go near Funk for the next year if he loses. Funk laughs, but this time because he can’t believe that Sting put his title aspirations for a year of his career on hold. He asks Sting what makes him so different to everyone else. Funk agrees with the stipulation that’s it’s a Street Fight. Sting smiles and nods. The crowd goes nuts as Sting’s music hits, and we go to break.

    dudleys_2000handout.jpgrougeaus.jpg

We’re back. The Dudley Boyz make their way to the ring for the first match of the night – a non-title match against the Rougeaus. The Dudleys come to the ring to a warm enough reception, mainly due to the crowd’s hatred of the Rougeaus. The smug young team saunter to the ring cutting a promo. They say that as usual, the wrestling fans show themselves up as the classless imbeciles they really are, who don’t know talent when they see it. The match is a decent pace, with the crowd really getting behind the Dudleys. The Rougeaus isolate D-Von for 4-5 minutes before Buh Buh gets the hot tag. He cleans house. 3D is ready to go. The crowd call for it. As Raymond gets slung off the ropes, Jacques trips him and drags him out the ring, titles in hand. They gesture at the Dudleys that they can forget it. Dudleys win by count-out.

    aries.jpg20061212xavier.jpgMedia,61391,en.jpg

Austin Aries is shown backstage warming up. Xavier, a talented young superstar who joined a couple of weeks ago, walks up to him. He stares right at him, right in his face. He then walks away. Aries sniggers dismissively and goes back to the warm up. Their match is next.

Aries gets a lot of heat as he swaggers to the ring as cocky as you like. Xavier gets little reaction. Most people don’t know who he is. The match is fast paced, mainly due to Xavier, who catches Aries a little by surprise. Aries grounds him and starts exerting some punishment. He hits the brainbuster, and is about to go for his 450 splash. He takes his time, gesturing the crowd nonchalantly while on the top rope. He goes for it, but misses. Xavier gets back into it. John Walters walks to the ring to a restrained pop. As Aries once more takes control with his varied offence of strong knees and high flying, Xvaier is down. Walters gets too close for Aries liking, and Aries goes to the ropes and gives him a piece of his mind. Xavier rolls him up for the quick pin to a huge pop. He rolls out the ring quick. Aries is fuming. Walters and Xavier smile as they head up the ramp.
    ________________________________________________________________

    Paul_Heyman_437074a.jpg

Paul Heyman is backstage. The crowd roars its disapproval. Queue our reporter to conduct an interview. Heyman says (i mean, shouts....) that this company needs a new star. Someone who will shake the SWL to it’s very foundations. Someone who will dominate like has never been seen before. Someone who he can respect. Someone he can rely on. Someone who will take no sh*t from pretty boys like Sting, Windham or whoever else. Someone who will arrive with a bang next week. The crowd boos in anticipation.
    _______________________________________________________________

    shamrock.jpg

A 3 minute video package is shown documenting Ken Shamrock’s recovery, along with a re-living of the moment Funk inflicted the injury.
    _______________________________________________________________

    200px-Tully_Blanchard.jpg180px-Jay-Briscoe.jpg

World TV Champion Champion Tully Blanchard beats Jay Briscoe in non-title action.

In a cat and mouse match, Tully frustrates his opponent with smart suplexes and wrestling holds. Jay gets a couple of rallies going during the match, and almost gets the win via a sudden ‘Fame Asser’ type manoever out of nowhere. Tully manages to sneak his foot under the bottom rope. Tully then pokes Jay in the eye behind the ref’s back and hits his slingshot suplex for the win.
    _______________________________________________________________

We cut to a psychotic looking Funk as he stares in the mirror. He picks up hit World Heavyweight title belt, smacks his head off it several times and makes his way out of shot. We cut to Sting who gets a huge pop. He’s stretching, looking calm and confident. This match is next.
    _______________________________________________________________

A video package is shown promoting the next PPV...’Reckoning’
    _______________________________________________________________

Funk tries to turn the match methodical and deliberate. He grounds Sting early and attempts to bring weapons into play. He misses with an attempted chair shot, and Sting takes control. He quickens the pace. A few suplexes and clotheslines later, and Funk looks in trouble. In resourceful fashion he grabs Sting tights and hurls him out the ring. He throws him into the ring steps. He goes crazy, letting out another animalistic roar like earlier. He finds another chair and cracks Sting in the back. And again. And again. Sting writhes in agony. Funk starts working on the foot with an array of weapon shots and wrestling holds. The crowd roars their disapproval. He goes for his Spinning Toe Hold. Sting somehow kicks him off. He struggles to his feet, selling his foot and back. He manages a Stinger Splash in the corner. And another. The crowd is on edge. Sting suplexes Funk. He goes for the Scorpion Deathlock. Funk drops a foot and kicks Sting in the yeehaws. Funk struggles outside the ring and gets a table ready on the outside. He drags Sting out and puts him on the table, he goes for the piledriver. Sting low blows him and hits him with a ‘Mic Check’ type manoeuvre through the table. The crowd goes wild. Sting rolls Funk into the ring. In pain, he gets the Scorpion Deathlock on Funk, who starts writhing in agony. But he won’t tap. All of a sudden Arn Anderson & Tully comes down to rescue Funk. Anderson hits Sting with a chair and his spinebuster. They take out the ref for no reason really. Funk stares at Arn & Tully as he lies on the mat. No gratitude. Arn & Tully leave the ring and up the ramp to a chorus of boos. It’s deafening. Funk crawls to the cover. No ref.

    barry_1.jpg

Barry Windham comes out of nowhere on the ramp and cracks Arn in the head with a chair. Tully scurries away, as usual.

Back in the ring, Funk stands up and leans on the ropes waiting for a ref. A man in a hoodie gets in the ring. The crowd goes crazy, but have no idea who it is. He stands by the body of Sting. Funk turns around and gets hit with a punch square to the jaw. He’s out like a light; completely lifeless. The crowd goes ballistic. The mystery man takes off the hoodie and its

    973.jpg
Mike Tyson! He revives the ref, Sting rolls into the cover and the 3-count is made. Tyson leaves through the crowd.

We have a New World Heavyweight Champion...STING!

    sting_champ.JPG

The show closes with a bloody and exhausted Sting holding aloft the title.
    _______________________________________________________________

    Next week...

    -Why is Tyson here?
-Who is Paul Heyman’s new guy?
-What’s Austin Aries’ mood like after John Walters’ shenanigans?
-Can Windham get his hands on Tully?
-What of the tag-team division? Will the Dudleys get their hands on the Rougeaus? Where have the Briscoes gone?
Tune in to the next show to find out!
