An non beleiver (he calls himself atheist) said the following to me:

"The Universe would be better if God didnt exist"

    Im confused.

Now the guy has good academic qualifications but have young people lost the power to think for themselves? Do they not realise that the current mess the world is in proves that us humans don't have that great of intelligence?

Are "atheists" the LEAST intelligent generation of all time?

I think so. Who in their right minds could come out with this stuff and also reduce themselves to saying that they descended from Monkeys? :D

Deep down we all know that God exists and through prayer we become 100% certain of the existance of God.

Humans cannot manage a man made money system never mind an entire planet :D

Dr. Gary Habermass is a former atheist and expert in this area. In his lifetime he researched all religeons of the world. He found that the death and ressurrection of Jesus Christ is not proved by faith alone but is also a historical fact.

Isn't it sad how some people need to relinquish control to feel better... I'll burst you bubble, it's you and us who are responsible for the world and our actions. Nobody will take the responsibility from you so you better accept it.

The guy is right, he just forget to add a few words.

"The Universe would be better if God didnt exist in peoples fantasies/heads".

The replies compound my argument even further.

A general trend by atheists is to "attack" or "ridicule", not to debate.

Who in their right mind, after reading the Bible, could reduce themselves to saying they were created by such a malevolent, spiteful, and petty God?

So whats your take on the fact that millions and millions of people have died in the name of religious wars down the years yet no one has ever died due to an 'atheist' war, because there is no such thing as atheists aren't dumb enough to start a war because of superstition.

If everyone prayed the Rosary there would be no wars. Did you not read the messages of Our Lady of Fatima?

It should also be said that the most recent wars have all bee either money, oil, world domination related eg WW1, WWII and also WWIII which will be the most devastating of all. All are a result of man's sin and man turning away from God. The more man turns away from God the more natural distaster, disease, famine, wars etc we can expect. Its very simple.

    From Wikipedia:

The Miracle of the Sun (Portuguese: O Milagre do Sol) is an alleged miraculous event witnessed by as many as 100,000 people on 13 October 1917 in the Cova da Iria fields near Fátima, Portugal. Those in attendance had assembled to observe what the Portuguese secular newspapers had been ridiculing for months as the absurd claim of three shepherd children that a miracle was going to occur at high-noon in the Cova da Iria on October 13, 1917. [1]

According to many witness statements, after a downfall of rain, the dark clouds broke and the sun appeared as an opaque, spinning disk in the sky.[2] It was said to be significantly less bright than normal, and cast multicolored lights across the landscape, the shadows on the landscape, the people, and the surrounding clouds.[2] The sun was then reported to have careened towards the earth in a zigzag pattern,[2] frightening some of those present who thought it meant the end of the world.[3] Some witnesses reported that their previously wet clothes became "suddenly and completely dry."[4]

Estimates of the number of witnesses range from 30,000-40,000 by Avelino de Almeida, writing for the Portuguese newspaper O Século,[5] to 100,000, estimated by Dr. Joseph Garrett, professor of natural sciences at the University of Coimbra,[6] both of whom were present that day.[7]
The miracle was attributed by believers to Our Lady of Fátima, an apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary to three young shepherd children in 1917, as having been predicted by the three children on 13 July,[8] 19 August,[9] and 13 September[10] 1917. The children reported that the Lady had promised them that she would on 13 October reveal her identity to them[11] and provide a miracle "so that all may believe."[12]

According to these reports, the miracle of the sun lasted approximately ten minutes.[13] The three children also reported seeing a panorama of visions, including those of Jesus, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and of Saint Joseph blessing the people.[14]

To be fair, atheist communist Russia invaded lots of countries and killed lots of people and there are a few other examples. Atheists aren't all above random acts of violence unfortunately.

Now that I've had to give a real response to this thread I have to say:

OP - if you have a gripe, you could try taking it direct to the appropiate section or are you afraid to?

Otherwise, this is a lame ass excuse just to troll in my opinion - and clearly in many others!

There's no need for personal remarks like that.

Pamela111, this is not a place for soapboxing. Starting a thread off with "How Stupid are _______?" is not conducive to good debate.
