I after buying about 3 pairs online from http://www.goggles4u.com they cost about $29.99 (€23) including postage and very happy with them all look designer and rimless. There's plenty to choose from.

Just ring or call into your optician and they'll give you the prescription

I've bought from both of these and been very happy. I try on glasses in the shop, find what I want (make sure you have the right size) and order online. Sometimes they will do the lenses too.

I have bought from this crowd several times and have recommended them to loads of ppl.

My advice would be to measure your existing glasses carefully and order a few pairs as I have got ones that are a little bit tight in the past - 3 pairs of glasses from here will cost you less than one pair of crap ones from Specsavers so no complaints though!

Bought from goggles4u as well and though the spectacles were cheap I find their CR-39 lenses impossible to clean effectively. I don't know why they constantly end up with cloudy streaks but fwiw I've never had this issue with previously bought lenses. I have tried a couple of different cleaning solutions (made specifically for lenses with the anti-reflective coating) but to no avail.

I'd be interested in knowing if EKRIUQ has the same lenses/issue.

If you're going to buy online, grind gremlin, check what information is required before going to the optician. My optician's prescription didn't include my 'pupil distance' information.

I think Giarre have a guide on how to measure it - it's fairly easy, but you'll need someone else to measure it for you.

I imagine any optician that provides you with a prescription will measure it for you if you just ask.

I called Specsavers, who said they would post out my prescription, but I would have to come in & pay a charge for the pupillary distance details.

Has anyone any experience of this ?

PS I believe a Data Protection data request charge cannot exceed Eur6.35 ?
