Any opens on this Sunday in Dublin, Kildare, Meath etc........I see there is one on in Headfort New but is Four Person Team event. What's that by the way? Is there a site which explain all formats? Cheers...

No. Four person team is like a classic which you may have played in. Groups of 4, almost always playing together as a team and usually 2 (best) scores count on every hole.
Sometimes teams will be split up because 4 playing together can lead to creative scores because basically you are marking your own card. Where good prizes are concerned this can lead to cheating but mostly these are fun days out.
Sometimes scoring will be slightly different with maybe all scores to count on the last or some other stipulation on the day but usually it's 4 people out together (can often be men and women mixed in any combination), playing off their full handicaps and the best two stableford scores count on each hole... so you'd be happy with 5 points per hole for a total of 90

Four person Team is all four players play together, normally two scores to count on every hole.

Yeah I just went onto this site, it's pretty useful, reckon I'll be using it quite a lot. Might run with Headfort, seems the best option and I could get a team together, thanks...

Just been coming out of a bad patch recently so happy to see an improvement. Shot 98 on Sat after a bad bad start. Played with your folks there a few weeks back!

One card left to hand in so really keen to get out and play 18, so keep me posted and I'll see when I can duck off work early. (tomorrow doesn't seem like a good day at the moment)

4 man team event in wexford golf club on friday the 21st of august in aid of the Bob Champions charity and St Lukes hospital.Bob Champion and Willie Thorne are also playing.€300 for a team includes breakfast roll before you play and dinner after.There is also an auction in the clubhouse which Willie Thorne will be looking after and then live music for the rest of the night.There is a few times still available phone the bar on 0539142238.Come on lads get a boards team in.

Open 2-man team event on in Gowran Park, Co. Kilkenny on Sunday Sept. 13th.. like a fourball but off full handicaps instead.

Open Four Person Team event friday 11th and Saturday 12th in Waterford GC. Only 40 Euro per team,same for members and visitors.

Not often you'll get to play Waterford GC as a visitor for 10 Euro.
