I bought this rifle a couple of months ago

and its been nothing but good times. I payed 43$ for it on auction at ebay(BRAND NEW IN THE BOX SEALED). It comes with the sight rail and the 1,200mAh 8.4V battery, charger, some .2gram bb's, a cleaning rod, and an instruction manual with little to no detail on how to setup the hopup (and lots of hilarious bad translations), also no customer support number or company contacting information.

I've done tons of research on it, Lots of mixed messages comming from all kinds of forums. These are the only useful posts i've found anywhere on this rifle:

Soooo what can i say... The rifle looks cool :D.
    DSCN1211.jpg

It functions great!!. I've been playing with it for about 2 months now and feel its time to answer some questions.

1st. The number one thing you hear about the AGM mp008 is the selector switch fails, only letting you shoot automatic. This is from people shooting the rifle in inbetween positions (wich isnt hard the lever is very loose feeling from the begining but DOES give a definite click when its in either position). If you are inbetween anywhere it shoots automatic so naturally once you mess it up, it only shoots automatic and you get to replace this part called the "inner selector slide". NOT TO FEAR, despite popular belief REPLACEMENT parts are relatively easy to score for the mp008, im actually in the process of buying multiple stocks to play with diffrent color furniture during the diffrent seasons we play. Your ONLY mp008 replacement part supplier is http://air-sharp.com/mp008.html but they have ANYTHING your looking for, its ridiculous.

2nd. Upgradability, TM clips can be modified to fit, Tightbore barrels PROBABLY wont fit, there MP008 outer barrel is about 2mm thinner in one spot than the TM outer barrel. The MP008 has an inside diameter of 6.08. The mp008 is runing the v2/3 gear setup with a v7 gearbox, Im sure at somepoint SOMEONE somewhere will tear into one of these rifles and upgrade the gearbox, Im fairly new to airsoft and wouldnt know what to do besides replacing the bushings and shimming the motor (if needed). When they do im sure it will be documented on a forum, perhaps even video on youtube or something.

3rd. When you "rack" the m-14 and the charging handle is all the way back it sometimes gets stuck, you then apply barely any force to it and it returns closed, Its because this brass bushing right here gets bound on the cheap flat black paint, DSCN1215.jpg

i've solved this sticking issue entirely with a drop of 10w30.

4th. The battery is wired backwards in the gun, i flipped the terminals in my 1,500mah 8.4v Dynamite RC car battery to fit in the gun the first day while i was waiting for the stock battery to charge. If your thinking about going up to 3,500mAh and you know you cant keep your finger out of the trigger then your GOING to need to put heavier wire throughout the gun, the amperage will just turn your wires into a molten stinky mess.

So what do i think of the gun! we'll i've played with it against my friends classic army MP5 (everyone else has LPEG's and pump shottys) and definitly may not have the ROF but range and accuracy is just as satisfying. The M14 seems to hold its own no matter who i play with, probably not so much me casue im fat and loud and akward moving through the woods BUT i've definitly held down a situtaion ENTIRELY by myself with this m14. I havent broken anything off the gun yet and have shot well over 7,000 rounds in the process of 2 months of woodland winter combat. Im able to hit a 6 inch sticky target at 150 feet and break the plastic frame around it no problem lol.... what a waste of 10$, i should never reuse BB's anyways. Id recommend the mp008 to anyone who thinks they are man enough to lug it around all day. Its heavy but i like that.

    SO WHAT I DONT LIKE:
I think the whole Reciever/Barrel/Gearbox/assembly moves like an entire 1/8th inch front or back on the body, that may not BE alot but it seems like alot to people who have been pointing it out when they Oggle my gun. It doesn't concern me and doesnt seem to throw of the accuracy, If you remove the trigger gaurd the body moves about a 1/4 inch and thats how you dissasmble it.

I also dont like that i cant find realistic 30round or 20round cap mags for it. The gun cant even function with only 30 bb's in it, about 10 of them shoot and the rest cant get fed through the clip without more bb's being added, so its best to keep the the magazine full (250rnd mag or 450 rnd mags avalible)

Im going to start playing with Biodegradable balls becasue its getting OBSCENE how many tiny plastic bb's are all through my friends woods and around our houses lol.

In the mean time the things im going to keep researching(searching)for:
Compatible Tight bore barrel (like chasing a white poney that doesnt exist)
Upgraded V7 Gearbox with 2/3 gears
    Compatible Motor

I will keep the community informed of my findings
