Its not a word of terror or fear. Its not a word of bad luck. Its not offensive in any way. Yet, I have received a weeks ban for using it. This ban is very questionable and indeed quite unfair.

A week without access to After Hours. Its going to be pretty boring and restricted.

I think we need more stickies for every forum: Not just a 'do not discuss MCD' sticky but a 'do not discuss Vold...he who must not be named' and 'MacBee', etc. We must fight terrorism!

I'd have given the OP a 7 day banning as a warning, since he obviously doesn't know about the boards ghost.

For mentioning the name of the Scottish play.

PM me in a week to have your ban lifted.

    Wait what? Whats the dealio?
If you have a problem with the ban, take it up in feedback.

I just don't understand the ban. Each time I was warned or banned before it was for relatively justified reasons but this is odd. Whats wrong with saying that particular word?
It's bad luck to say it.
As an actor, I take this very seriously.

For an actor you know very little of how the superstition is said to work. It only gives bad luck to the actors in a play if said in a theatre while macbeth
    is being acted out.

I'm extremely superstitious and do not want to take any chances.

As I said earlier, if you have a problem with the ban, take it up in feedback.

Damn Terry. Seriously, your taking this a little far now. I you really want to ban me thats fine it just seems a little odd. I'll be in feedback.

Would you mind if I posted this conversation in feedback?

    Go ahead.

It's rarely boring when Terry's feeling mischievous.

So he said "Macbeth" and Terry banned it? Im confused... :S

I'd love to see the context of the banning, why the word was used and if there was any warning in the thread in question, cause on the face of it Terry should not be a mod if he is going to ban people purely on the basis that he is superstitious. So if i said i was going to break a mirror, would Terry ban me too? Disgraceful.

    ^Is the above sarcasm?

Nice to see you have a sense of humour.

By the way, I only banned you for about 3 minutes.
I just went along with the PM stuff for a laugh.

As far as I know actors don't care about broken mirrors.
