It was brought to my attention that this might be a good idea for people to compare tamps. So Please post the setup and the temps idle/load

Hmmm...Something not quie right with this Ultra-120. I think the new mounting clip, although easier to install, does not provide sufficient clamping pressure and so i'm not getting proper cpu-tim-hsf contact. Lapping and mod will commence soon...

    Anti,
Is 70c not a little on the high side, even for load, on a Gfx card ?

    Barry.

nope they can go upto 90c and be fine.

    70c load is good.

I hit 93 yesterday, the problem was there is about 3mm between my 8800gtx and the x-fi, so i added an akasa amber 120mm fan behind the card blowing air out the back of the case as the top of it is semi vented. Now the temps are down to 60c max on load. Also the pwm area was hitting 70c so i added another 80mm akasa amber to cool that area, now it dosent hit over 30c. So im all happy. Now to bring the chipset temps down. But atleast i can now go to 3.2ghz 24hour orthos stable with 320x10 @ 1.65v. That equated to 26 second 1M super pi, and 1,01 2M super pi.

NB temp: 38c at full CPU load

100% stable...Uptime at full load currently 12 days and counting. Last reboot was for MS updates.

it does, getting a fsb higher then 450+ is the problem.

When can I pass by to test my L632A beauty, which is shown here priming at 3600 with 1.375V under water?
Are you still in the neighbourhood (Cabinteely)?

I don't really want to go through 2 or 3 hours of mounting again, the mount unit on the vapochill is missing a piece and was very hard to get contact between the cpu and head and still maintain a airtight seal.

You can have the vapochill in a month when I buy a new unit from the states.

In speedfan what is Aux ? and Temp 1 ?

Running a Core2Dou 6600 Quad with Evo Blue Cooler

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,504 ✭✭✭✭DirkVoodoo

Temp1 looks to be your Northbridge temp. Aux is just another sensor somewhere on your motherboard, knowing the model would help.

EDIT: Checks Willy's sig and quickly googles.

It seems that there is another temperature sensor next to the MOSFETs near the CPU, which is either your TEMP1 or AUX.

mosfeets are fine once they dont go over 60-70c

    non overclocked temps

    CPU: E6600
Setup: Dangerden tdx 775 block, double rad and single rad
    Idle Temp: 22 degrees
Full Load: 35 degrees (12 hours orthos)
    In my bedroom(Hot room)
    Idle temp: 31 degrees
Full load: 40 degrees (12 Hours orthos)

    GPU: 8800gts
setup: EK full cover 8800gtd waterblock
    Idle: 35 degrees
    Load: 41 degrees
Hot Room: increase in both idle and load by 2~4 degrees

    C2D E6700 @ 3.2ghz stock volts :)
    core 0 idle 30 load 39-40
    core1 idle 30 load 40-43
running folding at 100% on both cores
    temps from TAT

    GFX x1950pro 32 (no oc)

NB not sure using speed fan i get temp 1,2,3 @ 33,28,-1 respectively i'm assuming temp 3 is a dud and one of the others is te NB and SB?

Room temp is quite high not sure i'll check though i was gettin in the low twenties a while back.

imguessing actualy that either temp1 or temp2 is ur Tcase(Thermistor on the heatsink of the chips between the two cores). Tcase is usually bout 10-15 lower than Tjunction(core0 and core1)
