My favourite pic is the A380.
Do you know emirates ordered 90 of them.

Operated by Sun Air of Scandinavia, a regional Danish airline under BA franchise. They also offer charters and air taxi services.

Some lovely stuff there Lord Lucan, It's sister OY-NCL was here in July of last year.

Hahaha it doesn't look to bad in the Ryanair colours.

There looks like a ryanair 747 behind the 737?

there seem to be quiet a few Private jet movements, is this normal??

There's usually plenty of Private Jet movements at DUB. With it being Saturday and the 6 Nations in town it seemed a little busier than normal though.

    Lovely shots as always WestDub.
The B757 behind the bizjet tells a nice story.

How close were you to it?
Not sure, normal separation whilst on the North Atlantic track is 1000' vertical and 3000' lateral I think. (Any guys with more knowledge able to correct me?) He was maybe 1/2 a mile away, always hard to judge in flight.

The B777 was off our left side, 1000' higher than us. I took the shots as it moved closer to us. Eventually ended up 1000' above us and about 2000' ahead of us. It slowly moved off as it was slightly faster than our A330. (Should really have looked at the display to check the correct range!)

I was taught that there was 60NM lateral separation between the tracks.

Its not a pro photo forum so don't be worried about technical quality.

Just take/post the shots you like yourself.

Looking at your shots, have your done anything with them? I use Picasa to improve/edit my shots. I find it really simple to use and it does the job as far as I want it. Even a simple increase in brightness can improve shots I take.

I picked up Photoshop Elements 7 for around €20 on Amazon, makes such a difference to be able to improve your pictures just by brightening, reducing shadows, sharpening etc.

    Hi all,

I'm very much a lurker here, and think its a great wee corner of boards to come and spend 5 minutes every so often. And today i finally got my chance to contribute, while out for a run in the car (while bored) we went to Donegal airport (carrickfinn) and ci-cxs , irish coast guard chopper, flew in over us to land and quickly snapped these, not to the standards of this thread but thought i'd share regardless click for larger :)
