Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

now that we're on the subject of stitching... and before I start fecking around with iphoto and diving into my aperture demo, any good stitching apps to be had? Downloaded hugin for OS X but it complained about Autopano - SIFT not being installed.

Are you going to post the steps for the image you posted? In the interest of furthering all our knowledge of course...

I find autostitchvery good. I've also heard great news about the stitching in ps3.

Hugin on OSX is pretty pointless, in that the core package isn't available. It's a fantastic program and I'd rather be using it, but feh?

I used Photoshop (CS3) for all of my stitching tonight. It took a few hours to stitch the panorama as I had to perform it in chunks, and about 30 seconds for the polar conversion (Filter-> Distort-> Polar coordinates) after I cropped the panorama down.

EDIT: I'll see if I can get autopano working under OS X, I recall building it from source was iffy.

    Funky stuff.

Rymus, here's someone talking about using a thing called PTgui, he stitches images together for higher resolution rather than using large format so he seems to know his stuff:
