You can select the English and Irish versions from a drop down menu, but have to use the flags to get French, German, Polish, etc. But there are no flags for English and Irish (what flag would they use for English?)

In addition I can have French content with the Irish header.

    Header and footer are huge.

It still costs "€1.40 euro" to go from St. Stephen's Green to Abbey.

Several links go to the old website,

Nearly all links appear to open new windows, even when the link is within the site.

Still heavy, inappropriate reliance on PDF files for content.

Many buses missing from the list of connections.

Internal documents resolve to external websites, e.g. http://d2785440.u87.hosting365.ie/ul/48.pdf

What should be internal content is hosted off site, e.g. http://www.q-park.ie/web/qparkie.nsf/pages/WGOR_67PHPW?opendocument

FAQ section contains a single FAQ.

Sloppy, considering what they are and the resources available to them..

An English flag? White with red cross?

And a green or blue with golden harp for Gaeilge?:)

An Irish flag with a little circle with "EN" written in it for English, and an Irish flag with a little circle with "GA" written in it for Irish?

    flag_en.pngflag_ga.png

Images public domain. Hint Hint RPA.

I presume a lot of money was handed over to the design company for this.
The homepage's code does not validate URL="http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.luas.ie%2F"]see here...[/URL. however, given that the designers homepage doesn't validate, I shouln't be surprised. However, the fact that they state in their Accessibility Statement that all pages validate etc is incorrect.
Im not sure why but the 'standard fare' link under the 'custtomer care' drop down brings you to a page which tells me that the standard fare will soon be payable online. What about other fares? Shouldn't this link be under the 'Tickets & Fares' link? There is an FAQ here which is also under FAQs (why have a search FAQs tool?).
There are several grammatical errors throughout (e.g. i instead of I).
The developers seem unsure of what an email address should look like - luascustomercare.ie.
As for the language drop down - why not just list all available languages there?

The flags just bring you to a single page detailing the LUAS and the timetables in that language. The English/Gaeilge dropdown changes the language of the whole site.

You'd use a union jack for english :)

    Tis sloppy though.

Stars and stripes would be safer.

I wrote a letter to Customer Care back in July 2004 because the station list didn't appear right in Firefox (it looked like it exported from Microsoft Word).
I also pointed out where html entities weren't used ('eacute' etc).

The web pages I put up were never looked at by the web designers. I could see the access stats. Quite disappointing, though most of the issues have been corrected in the redesign.

And offend our Welsh and Scots Gaelic speaking cousins?
That would not be very considerate.:D

It's written in PHP compared to the awful ASP/Microsoft program it used to run so it should in theory be more stable.

If only they'd iron out the kinks - it would take less than half an hour to do!

That cyclist looks like he's gonna go straight into that LUAS if he doesn't look around in time.

This link leads directs to Word doc - obviously cuting and pasting the logo was easier in Word
