Ooh ut2k3 not a lot happening with that game anymore, I played it a few months back and had a hard time finding decent servers that were actually populated. There are still some servers out there, but not many Irish people still actively playing online, at least not that I know of.

If you like ut2k3 then you should consider taking the plunge and get a copy of ut2k4, lots more people actively playing, and it's a much better game on the whole. You should be able to pick up a pretty cheap copy online these days.

I Think I saw it in Game for 20 yoyo there the other day. I have both games and my 2k3 never came out of the selophane so I have no idea what its like on line. I never really liked 2k3 and so dident play it much. 2k4 is much better and well worth the 20 quid.

Had a look in game in the square Tallaght during lunch, and yup plenty of copies of ut2k4 for 22 euro each, or as part of a 2 games for 40 euro deal.

Depends what you're into, and what you already have. They had Far Cry, Battlefield vietnam, that kind of thing if you like your FPS games. Command and conqure Generals was in there, and I think I saw GTA Vice city in there too. Nothing else springs to mind though...

Looking forward to seeing you on the servers some time soon!
Check out the unreal.ie website (all UIE community members on boards.ie have the link in our sigs ) for information on our servers, and irc+teamspeak server info too.

If you don't have a headset, then I'd recommend you pick up a good one. It'll drastically improve your online experience, as you can chat away to anyone else on Teamspeak, while still playing with them on a server.
Most of us would recommend this little beauty:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatal...SpeedLink.html (the top one)

Trust me, you will _not_ regret buying UT2004, and you'll certainly not regret jumping onto TeamSpeak and UIE1 (server 1) during a hectic game

If you need any help with getting used to the new movement within UT2004 any of us would be glad to help you out. We're a friendly crowd

If you need info on weapons, maps, or have any questions at all, you can ask about it here, or over on the unreal.ie forums.

*edit* I'll note that although some of us check this forum regularly, almost all of our conversations happen over on unreal.ie now. Ever since "the incident"

See you then so, but be sure and patch to the latest version before you join, and get the ece bonus pack at least, cos lots of maps require the new textures and vehicles that come with that. Both are available on unreal.ie.
