Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi guys,
I'm having trouble with the radio in my car, I have a 2002 Ford Focus Lx with a ford 6000 radio in it, I works fine some of the time but when I go over any bumps or sometime if I Rev the engine the radio dies completely, it sometime comes back itself and other times I have to push in on it for it to start again,

Any help on what it might be would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Rob

Probably just something loose behind the radio that whenever you go over a bump or vibrate with revs it comes loose from the radio. Get a set of radio renoval pins off ebay, if you don't already have them and pull out the radio so you can have a look.

Todays radios do not suffer from loose connections or wires falling off so there is no need to remove radio to check for this. The fault you describe is very common to the 6000 model and is a simple repair. Ask at your garage as to where they get their radios repaired.
