Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi guys

Just wondering if anyone can fill me in on the ins and outs of the following

I'm after getting a short term contract in the UK, about 10 months in the beginning, as its short I don't think buying a car there would be worthwhile and I'm wondering what hoops would I need to go through to use my Irish reg car there.

I know insurance will probably only cover me for upto 90 days but I'm waiting in them to get back to me to see if I can extend it.

    Cheers

If your insurer won't there's plenty insurers in Ireland which will cover you fully comprehensive for the whole period of your policy (12 month) driving in UK.

Drive on .. If your ties remain in Ireland, your insurance will cover you Third Party for the duration of the policy regardless of what they say.

That's obviously correct, but many insurers will have no problem covering fully comprehensive in UK for that period.
F.e. FBD or Allianz. Possibly many more.
