I need your help fellow women! Dress dilemma!!

I am having a birthday party soon, and I am a curvy pear shape with a big chest. I want to wear a maxi dress, but there just seems to be nothing in the shops, OR if there is, in very boring black/dark colours.

I would prefer to wear straps so I can wear a decent bra and not be worrying about a strapless bra all night. Any other similar shaped people out there with the same problem??? Send me in the right direction!

i'm size 14 and 36d and have just bought the maxi dress below:

Although it has a deep neckline I am able to wear a lot cut (the ones for low cut dresses) bra underneath and its really flattering. They also had some other really nice maxi's there.

Hello all, thank you for replies. I am loving AX paris website, will definitely be purchasing some maxis for the holidays this year. I am looking for a particular style, think a glam maxi dress, a few jewels under the bust etc. Grecian style I guess you might want to call it. Not having much joy at all, Littlewoods have a fab dress but for €359 and I cant really justify that.... YET (If I dont find anything else....) I will keep searching.....

I am sure it would be easier to buy a wedding dress

Thank you Sibylla - I am going to have a look now. I am loving the lipsy dress! I always assumed it would be so easy to get a dress.
