Any thoughts on who will win in Mexico?
I think Atkinson could be on the podium for Hyundai. Maybe 3rd.

I'd love to see it but I really don't think it will happen. Too much of a chance of either him or the car messing up.

    My podium prediction is:
    1. Ogier
    2. Latvala
    3. Ostberg/Meeke

Hoping Meeke's head is screwed firmly on & luck is on his side (for a change!).

I think he has his head sorted alright, he has been a lot more mature in his drives. This really could be his last chance to cement himself in the WRC for a few years. His luck or lack thereof on the other hand, we can only hope improves.

I think it is too. He had a very mature drive in Sweden and hopefully he can continue on from were he left off.
    I like Ostberg too.
Theres just something telling me that Atkinson will be somewhere on the podium.

Atkinson is rubbish, prob going to bin it as usual. His record is appalling, was in a title winning car for years and did nothing only constantly destroy it

what title winning cars did he drive for seasons?

He drove the impreza wrc 2005, it won 2 WRC rallys in the hands of Solberg, Chris had a best result of 3rd in his debut year.

Subaru then had 3 winless years before withdrawing.

He was only ever average in my eyes though, he proved that in his recent performances.

I don't see Atkinson on the podium myself, he's too long out of regular practice at this level. He'll be happy with a top 6.

The front of today's MN has a story about a possible MG WRC bid, with Ukrainian backing. We'll see what Putin has to say about that.

The altitude in Mexico will be tough on the cars. New cars, like the Hyundai, often struggle on these type of vents.

I think Atkinson is capable of getting a good result this season but I don't think it will happen in Mexico. He will need a few events to get back up to speed.

That MG story sounds a bit mad...

I think Oigier will win, with Meeke and Ostberg in 2nd and 3rd with no particular order.

Neville might actually finish this event but not in on the podium, a top 5 would be great.

Well Rally Mexico is sure living up to it's reputation of a rally of attrition

    oh kris
I think he was genuinely unlucky today. His line seemed okay and he did not seem to cut too much or anything.

Craig Breen will be out in the 208 T16 (R5) on the Circuit of Kerry 6th April. Will definitely try to make it down to that.

Seen most it. It was about the killer rally years of the 80s. There is also a similar formula 1 documentary.

Breen leads overnight in Greece. Kevin Abbring had been setting the pace and had a couple of seconds on Breen but retired on SS5 with mechanical failure. The 208 T16 seems nice and quick.

    Overall after SS6
    1 @Craig_Breen
    2.Bouffier +14.7
    3.@Kajto_pl +15.0
    4 @EsapekkaLappi 43.8
    5 Gryazin +1:53.1
    6 Magalhaes +2:03.5

Well it looking like we are in for a very wet Rally de Portugal, a repeat of 2012 maybe.
Flooding halted yesterday’s opening day of recce at Rally de Portugal with sections of the route impassable after torrential rain.

Almost 60mm of rain deluged the Algarve region and the Ourique and Santana da Serra stages were worst affected. Recce cars had to be towed out of flash floods and as rain continued to fall, organisers cancelled practice in those two tests.
