    You really would be better off wiring it down with CAT5e/6, at least half way anyways. As WLAN noise goes up and up and device loads increase it makes sense to do the work now to save future headaches.


    If you're determined to go with a wireless solution though, go for something better than a basic repeater. If you repeat it twice bandwidth will be at best 1/3 of original and troubleshooting can be difficult. Go for a wireless AP with decent antennas that can wireless bridge and transmit a fresh network from its point onwards. Then repeat that for the third area if required.

    Do you have suggestions for the equipment that would be needed for this?

    this is the scenario?


    Wall > Router 1 > Lan Cable > Router 2 (upstairs) > Via wireless > Wireless Extender 1 only?
