Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Thanks Skid :)

RTE bosses saw your post in last week's thread and re-named the show!

They couldn't get Eamonn Holmes though :(:)

Okay let's get the ball rolling on this thing... I nominate Skid and Harry to take the Ice Bucket Challenge..

I also nominate Lisha and Grey to throw buckets of water over each other, while wearing t-shirts, then mud wrestle for say 10 minutes, and upload the results to youtube for everybody to watch after Stay There With Miriam...

Hee, hee - you know the rules, CH. You don't get to nominate until you have taken the plunge yourself. You could get your buddy JonathanAnon to help!

I'd definitely donate all I could afford, to charity, to see that.

Alright then, I'm not going to put my ugly mug on the internet and reveal my real life identity - but this is a great cause so I made a wee donation. If anyone reading this has a few quid to spare, and if you haven't donated already, I'll invite you to do the same.

And next time I meet any of you in real life you can throw icy water over me or get me to do some kind of forfeit :)

I'll throw in an extra 20 quid if she manages to get through the whole show without shrieking at any of the guests to 'stay there'. Her demands seem to get more hysterical by the week.

    Evening All.

Everybody, do you think that Brendan Gleeson is better off with or without the beard at all?

He looks better with the beard on him IMO.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,444 ✭✭✭✭Skid X

I wonder is he a bit jealous that his son is about to be more famous than he is?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,675 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

Didn't notice he had a beard. Just looks like Brendan Gleeson to me!

    Anyone seen 'Cavalry'? Any good?

I seen it in the cinema a few months ago. It was a brilliant movie to watch.

Most of the cast are well known in Irish circles including Dave Mc Savage (Bishop) and Dylan Moran (Posh Fella).

I was at their reunion concert in the O2, it was great fun.

They never really did a big concert when the film was out, for some reason.

Was Sean Hughes from Eejit Records there? :D

She would have been in that film with Marlon Brando, Divine Rapture, which got cancelled.

It might have given her a start in Hollywood

I read Roddy Doyle's 'the guts' recently. Some if if it was looking back at the commitments era. Very enjoyable read and funny at times, a bit raw at other times.
