Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Mass amounts of bagels yet again.
So, after all the league games are complete, but before the scores for the initial predictions are taken into account, we have a tie for first place. Claw09 and patmac have both finished up on 155 points. patmac was one of only three people (Pandiani and paul0103 being the other two) to correctly predict Waterford to beat Cork. But no one was able to get close enough to the 10 point margin of victory.

I shall do the scores for the initial predictions soon.

So the winner of the Boards GAA Forum NHL Pools Competition 2015 is: patmac!!!!
Patmac scored 8 points in the initial predictions which was just enough to see him sneak ahead of Claw09 at the last moment. patmac finishes on 163 points, 2 ahead of Claw09.
Commiserations to Claw09 who lead from week 2 only to be caught at the worst possible time.
Agus put in a strong showing over the last few weeks and got the highest score of all in the initial predictions to come in a very respectable third spot, one point behind Claw09.

So thanks to everyone for participating. As most of you know, the hurling championship pools are up and running here. Even if you haven't already made predictions, you can still do so.

    Congratulations to patmac again.

Well it's been emotional, I won't keep you long as I am a man of few words.
I'd like to thank a few people: the statistician Hammer Archer fair play great job.
My wife, for her silent support especially as she hasn't a clue about GAA.
My agent, family and all who helped with me win this, this victory is theirs as much as mine. and finally 3 cheers for my worthy opponent Claw09 your time will come hip hip hurray, hip hip hurray, hip hip horray.
(Lifts imaginary cup) hopefully not the only National GAA competition that a Westmeath man will win this year.

    Congratulations Patmac.

    163 is a fine score.

Bloody Typical, lead all way then get pipped right at the end. And to see a Clare man lose out to a Westmeath man at Hurling, oh I'll never let it down.

    Congratulations Patmac

Well done Hammer Archer all through
