Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I thought Mary I were definitely through, they must be sickened. Couldn't afford to Carlow, although that is an absolutely ridiculous score that WIT put up. How are Mary I even in the Fitzgibbon?

Strange group alright. WIT beat Carlow well, Mary I trounce WIT, and then Carlow soundly beat Mary I! I did have a feeling Carlow IT must have vastly underperformed the first day out though so for me it's not a total shock. They have a lot of good hurlers albeit not from top flight counties so they will go in nicely under the radar. Maynooth are obviously just out of their depth.

I had a lecture at 3, so missed the match, but had heard from one of the players that both Tony Kelly & David McInerney would be missing; you could argue they are UL's 2 best players. Impressive to get the win without them.

Very scrappy game, John McGrath was a big difference between the teams.

    How did Jason Forde play?

Have they come to a decision about IT Carlow yet?
Seems quite unfair on lit now at this stage.

Did okay at centre back. Pucked plenty of ball. I would definitely prefer him in the forwards though.

No decision, and looks like one won't be known until the morning according to twitter

LIT preparing for game - text sent to all players to prepare for the game regardless

No, though if I was it might have been done already! :pac: 5 hours of a meeting is madness

Games are to go ahead according to a text sent to LIT players, but I don't know

iT Carlow reinstated now so games have been cancelled for today. Absolute farce.

Makes an absolute farce of the thing and drags on the games way too far into the league for counties, why don't they get each college to submit a panel at the start of the competition that are approved and they can only select from that, say 35 to cover injuries etc.
it should revert back to straight knock out aswell, Mary I playing 3 games in 9 days and everybody hammering maynooth by ridiculous scores does nothing for the competition that is already being squeezed into the calendar

Any info on the fitness of cooper and coughlan for CIT? 10/11 looks decent price for WIT if they are missing

    Great game.

What a stupid free to give away at the end by Roche though.

Put his Hurley up high to get the hook, slightly too high and Morrissey grabbed his Hurley. Should have been a free out

    God I love the Fitzgibbon.

Great stuff in the end, fairplay both teams. They should be given a week off particularly with what WIT have had to contend with this week, but no doubt the great minds in the GAA will decide running off the competition is more important than player welfare as for usual.

Game of the year so far. That was sensational. Some score at the end from Fox. I think Wit will do it the next day. Players must be shattered at this stage

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,553 ✭✭✭✭Copper_pipe

Bonnar says Wednesday week for the next day
