Anyone else notice alot more police check points on the road this week?

I have come across 3 police check points this week in the Rathcoole and leixlip areas. I was also asked for my drivers licence for the first time in 7 years of driving. Should i be feeling paranoid?

haven't seen them out on the road stopping in about 3 years.... so hopefully this is a change of attitude and they will become more visible...
pitty it took so many deaths to make this happen...
