Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Geni and My Heritage match

I have my family tree on Geni and got an email from Geni to say that there is a match for one of my ancestors on the My Heritage site.

Is there any way of having a look at the record without having to pay the yearly fee? as in a pay per view record? I can't seem to see any option on the site for ppv.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Kilsmum,
I am with Geni, and got a Christmas gift of a My Heritage subscription.
If I were to say their was a fault in the system, it is; I frequently get messages from My Heritage about new finds, but most are from my own input from Geni, and vise versa happens as well. Most info is duplication, but you do get nuggets of new contacts.
Not sure if I can help, but will if I can.

Elverston - I think you could be right in what you are saying. I had googled Geni and My Heritage and from what I can see they are the same outfit.

However I won't look a gift horse in the mouth this is my information:

    Patrick Hegarty

    born Cork 27th April 1880

    Mother Catherine McCraith

    Father Michael Hegarty

Thanks very much for your offer of help - I appreciate it. :):)

    Hi Kilsmum,
sorry for the delay, put the names into My Heritage search, but didn't come up with any exact matches, but I am not used to it yet, tends to get stuff from all around the world.
