Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

My sister, devastated, called me last night to tell me her sgs2 gave up the ghost on Sunday morning.

She headed into the Vodafone shop for advice, the phone wasn't turning on our charging and they went through a few steps, including trying a new battery, but to no avail.

She's now the proud owner of an sgs4, but she's devastated that she's lost 1300 photos that she stupidly didn't sync with Dropbox etc.

She tells me Connecting it to a laptop doesn't do anything either. Ie the laptop doesn't even recognise the phone.

    Any ideas guys?

    Hey captain.

Don't think she had a memory card, I'll have to enquire with her.

Some laugh, I have an old sgs2 here at home that I just keep for the kids to watch YouTube on etc, the wife accidentally put it in the washing machine today and it was in for a full cycle.

Turned on first go with the water still seeping from it.

Just the luck of the draw I suppose.

Worst thing you could ever do is turn on a phone with water seeping through. You should have dryed it out before turning it on. Parts can short circuit with water.

Fingers crossed everything seems to be ok so far.
Only problem I've noticed is the battery doesn't seem to want to charge properly.

I've it in the hot press, leave it there for a few days see how it goes.
