Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This will be interesting tie tonight, with both teams after taking full points from the opening game. Will the Germans kill the group off tonight?

I think the Germans will win comfortably, but as for kill off the group I think not. I see Croatia maybe going into the match with Poland having to win because of their goal difference

To give me an excuse to bail out of work at 430! although coming in half hour early this week is starting to stack up! Think this will be a tight game, I will be hoping for Klose to score (fantasy football) but I just hope its entertaining really! Think it will be a 2-1 to Germany, but Croatia will run them very close.

Today is my first late shift since the tournament started.

Time to finally put one of the three 42" screens behind me to good use and stream the first match from rte.ie!

Am i missing something... croatia were absolutely horrible in there first game. They were extremely lucky to beat the worst team in the tournament.
I don't think they're going to turn that around so much as to make life too dificult for the germans.

never know, RTE's streams can be pretty good. I streamed a GAA match and put it on a projector, worked much better then I expected.

No Schweinsteiger, slightly surprised at though. the German's definitly looked more potent with him on instead of Gomez.

and Modric is starting. wonder how he'll come through with the knock he picked up.

Had Schweinsteiger as captain last match week, :(. He's a quality player, adn I don't know why he s not starting. Had to let him go unfortunately as I had a feeling he would be benched again.

Your boy is getting some slating from Eamo and the boys reckless :p Maybe we did well to steer clear :pac:

Great chance for the Croats there for a second.

Krankcjar showing off his skills by blazing over :p

Should really have played it on to the free man on his right

Ballack whacks a free kick from a good way out. Solid save

Croat Keeper makes two more saves there.

There's goals in them there hills/fields:D:pac::pac:

Fully agree with a that , and please gomez stay onside.

Gomez is crap. I can't understand why he gets on the team ahead of the pig farmer. Another possibility would be to play the pig farmer on the right, put Fritz in right back, and Lahm on the left. i think there is a good chance of this happening later actually if the score stays the same for the next 15...

edit: and as I post that, doesn't Jansen come off for Odonkor... typical. still, they actually did what i thought they would with Fritz and Lahm, so not a bad guess.

it took a deflection and he actually manages to scramble across and get a hand to it to push it on the post. highly unlucky. I don't think it's fair to blame him.

IMO he was caught a bit dopey and was slow to react. HE very nearly pushed it in tbh.

    1-2 Podolski. Game on.
