Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, can anyone recommend a good hotel/B and B near to the Etihad Stadium or in Manchester city. Doing a flying visit-landing Saturday morning, concert Saturday evening and leaving very early the next morning. Just looking for something cheap/clean-cheap seems hard to get on a Saturday night!

You are surprised that hotels near a concert in a 60,000 capacity stadium are busy and not bargain basement price?
Would that be anything to do with 10s of thousands of people going to the concert needing a bed for the night?

Its the same in Dublin for any event in either of the stadiums or the O2.
Its the same in Munich this weekend for Bon Jovi - especially because of the certain demographic that would have cash in the pocket and make an occassion and stay in a hotel rather than drive straight home afterwards to wherever they live.

The only tip would be to go the opposite side of the city to the concert if you want cheap accomodation.
The nearer you get to the stadium the more folks are prepared to pay more for the convienence of a short trip after the concert.

Thanks for stating the obvious Munchkin utd, clearly as stated in the title I was asking for recommendations for hotels, not a reply post that is totally useless and of no help to me!
