Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

We have all seen the standard lottery scam several times before in Spam e-mails.
I though received one today by post !
Posted from Spain with as far as I can see a real €0.75 stamp on it.
I would have thought the hit rate on these scams would never be high enough to re-coup the investment in stamps.

Curious as to how they got my address too

Anybody else ever get one of these before by snail mail ?

All lotterys are scams. That's why only rich people are allowed to run them.

Got one for the Australian lotto years ago,the Irish lotto was offering as good prizes at the time.Don't think they've really thought the thing through.

Yes. They are getting your name from the telephone directory, new additions.

I would say a bad bet rather than a scam

Correct. The National Lottery, a.k.a. "Lotto", was invented in 1938 by General Eoin O'Duffy as an ingenious way of taxing the dole.
