Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

hi folks, considering ditching the land line broadband, as its a bit hit and miss, in terms of going slow, when i need to use it most, and also i don't like eircom...

I am currently out of contract with vodafone broadband, and getting 4mb, but its not a reliable 4mb, so considering ditching the land line based system for something else.

i have considered, satellite, as that would allow me to ditch the landline and port the number to blue face, which i could use over mobile broadband, for VOIP, as satellite latency is much higher.

with onwave, and other satellite providers, when the usage allowance is exceeded, what is the speed reduced to?

do they charge for excess use?

    thanks

Put up with vodafone or get to like Eircom, you'd be a fool to ditch a landline for a Satellite connection.

tbh stupid idea, but don't let me stop you.
