Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all
Looking to pick up some clothes for cycling, im just unsure what to get. I'm new to road cycling, I have the padded shorts from when I was mountain biking. Everything else seems different tho. Any little bit of info would be a great help.
    Thanks
    Robert

    Hi,

For me it's a compression base layer (long sleeve), cycling Jersey (short sleeve) and then a cycling jacket depending on weather. Have a light rain jacket as well.
Wear bib tights in winter, bib shorts in summer. Really a personal preference.

Wiggle have a good selection at a range of prices.

Aldi and Lidl are ideal for you...
On sale in Lidl today as far as I know,
Shorts, Under armour, shoe covers, jacket, socks, light wind proof jacket that will fit in your pocket,
The best money you can spend is on a floor pump...
As you ride more you can purchase the brand name stuff.

Exactly - Lidl/Aldi is the place to go. You'd probably get a nice set of cycling clothes for around €100-€150 (I'd say at that price you get 1 or 2 jerseys and so on if you want to have few spares). It will be enough to keep you going at least till winter.
