Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

enjoyed the first film.. was a rip off of battle royale but looking forward to tihe next instalment
I think the film is far more like Battle Royale than the book. Due to the book being first person you get far more into Katniss' head. It is only the top layer that bears pretty much any resemblance to Battle Royale. I read all three there after getting them cheap in HMV before Christmas and really enjoyed them, went back and watched the film and the character is really all wrong. It has very little to do with the actual hunger aspect other than the name, the books are full of references to food and the characters go through much more suffering in the games than in the film. The film is just a highlight show pretty much whereas the book is more character oriented.
