Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey folks,

    I am trying to find out if there has ever been any serious digging done around Oughterard, County Dublin.

    I am pretty sure I can see / make out the bounderies of the original village which has disappeared over the last 500 years.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Excavations.ie would be my first port of call. Throw in the townland names and see what comes up

    I can see Oughterard from the end of my street, however, I cannot seem to find much real indepth info regarding the Village of Oughterard.

    Seems to have fallen off the map mysteriously after the 14th century??
