Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Its handy toget it going again
How would i test it to find where its sucking in the air?

Does it cut out or you stop it for a while and it wont start.
    What make /model is it

Depending on the make there should be a small filter inside the tank and dirt might be blocking and freeing up again as the tractor is moving.

Its a 1988 jcb 3cx 4wd.It just dies. Filters replaced numerous times
The pipes after the injection pump would have pressure in them, so if there was a hole or crack there it would b plain to see.
Maybe a tank clean is on the cards

There has to be a blockage somewhere or drawing air. Check and clean the glass bowl. sometimes mesh filter there. On top of the lift pump there is normally a mesh filter . also at the bottom of the tank. if none of that helps blow the lines back to the tank.
Is there any cracking on rubber pipes

You have cleaned the dirt/water trap inside the chassis rail, on the starter motor side?
Also my one used to do this if diesel was lowish. There turned out to be a piece of cork floating about in the tank, and the odd time it would get sucked up onto the end of the fuel pipe to the pump.
