Shadowing a paramedic

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone can help me. I'm a final year nursing student based out of CUH.
I am seriously considering a career in paramedics but would like to shadow a paramedic for a short while first.
Can someone point me in the right direction as to who to contact to try and organise same. Thanks

Hi Shauna,

That's a good idea. There are formal agreements in place for medical students from some universities so this is probably something that can be arranged. If I were you I would go to the ambulance station, ask to speak to the lead EMT or paramedic supervisor, and explain the situation with him/her directly.

If that fails I would go through the steps outlined in the doc that civdef posted which is the official way.
