Changing career from physically demanding work.

Friend of mine currently works as cabinet maker but has a bad back and knows he wont be able to do it past his forties if even. In his 20s now but ive been trying to find something on Internet that gives rough advice on to move from a physical job to something less demanding. Considering he doesnt have s degree that would be a start but im looking for a kind of self help motivational type article to get him thinking its possible and get an idea of what hed like to do.

You need to be thinking of some further education now.
And change career as soon as possible.

You'll need to put the new qualification into use as soon as possible. And the sooner you get away from work that injures the back further the better.

AFAIK cabinetmaking is a route into woodwork teaching or similar.

I've had to change career for the same reason.
