Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The newest radio release for all HTC Desires (All networks all screens). Supports all FroYo ROMs and improves signal and 720p recording greatly.

Signed so you can flash it on a stock ROM using the stock recovery as follows

Rename it to update.zip and put it on your sdcard.
Restart your phone with the volume down button held down.
Navigate down to recovery and push power to select.
Once at the red ! mark push volume up and power.
    Apply SDCard:Update.zip

That's all there is to it :)

How's the 720p recording now? Won't get a chance to flash this until this evening when i update LeeDroid 1.9 > 1.9a

Better, FPS hasn't improved that much but what's really apparent is that it no longer stutters (i.e. Stops and starts throughout the video)

Signature verification failed during the recovery.

    Stock unlocked Desire.

Do I need root for this?

    +1 on this.

You shouldn't but if it's not working then you will need to root and use a custom recovery.

So you could say that improved 720p recording is another reason to root :D

    Precisely :D

But if you want to wait for it to come OTA it shouldn't take too long. The radio update was extracted out of the Vodafone 2.2 OTA update.

No point trying it on an unlocked desire.

The Radio of a phone doesn't exclusively control the FM Radio :pac:

In fact I doubt this radio update affects the FM Radio in anyway.

So what makes a "radio" update not a regular update?

Just confused on the terminology :)

I could never understand why the last radio update broke my video recording. What's a radio got to do with video recording?

    Radio killed the video star?

    Yes you can.

A lot of these stuttering issues are down to slow sdcards. The one supplied with the desire is Class 2 which is too slow for sustained 720p recording. A Class 6 is recommended regardless of what radio update you have. I recently ordered one and it makes a huge difference. Apps on SD are a lot snappier as well.
