Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I want this rig. It belongs to Mr. John Petrucci from the Train Of Thought tour:

I don't think a GT-8 is overkill... just fairly useless for my needs. Once I get my nomad, this is all I'll need:

    mesa-nomad45-acc.jpg

No effects, no silly on-stage tap dancing on a pedalboard, just switching between 3 channels of pure, untainted TONE!

You still have five switches to dance between. And I reckon my amp will revile yours in the loudness stakes. Maybe not tone wise but loudness, definately.

And what's your point? I'm sure a jackhammer would revile yours in loudness too, doesn't make it better.

Shut up. Bigger always means better :p

In that case, my front door is better than your amp.

But your front door only has one knob on it :p

Are you sure that'd be loud enough for bedroom playing? ;)

    2 2x12 Mesa cabinets
    2 4x12 Mesa cabinets

    Probably not :p

Multi Effects are gay. Just sort out a good fundamental clean and distorted tone and if you can't do it with that, well you just can't do it ;)

Don't waste money on multi-effects, this is not the answer to your current problem.

Good ol' poison in the food eh? Or is kicking and screaming more your style?

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,361 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

I'll do it the only way I know - guitar through the head and an amp falling on him...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,684 ✭✭✭david

Or nail him to one of john petrucci's 4x12's, and play an open Ebiggrin.gif. I hear the human ear implodes at only 147dB

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,361 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

    Actually, if it was Petrucci's rig, it's be a C :D

Yup, that's why Line 6 called the HD147 that :D
