Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    High Five to anyone who gets the reference

    Having successfuly renamed the recession as Steve, it is about time we do the same thing with Swine Flu. It's becoming apparent that this is the thing that will eventually kill us all. I don't know about you but I would much rather be killed by something .. cooler sounding.

    So.. suggest your new name for Swine Flu. Remember - the more epic sounding the better!

    Possible way of deciding the winner? These things are usually decided based on popularity, so if you like a submitted name, thank that post. The name with the most thanks wins and Swine Flu will be henceforth renamed to it

    It should simply be called 'Hysteria', although that's actually a range of illnesses of the mind that has been afflicting a lot of people for many years now.

    Common symptoms include:
    1. Believing all males suddenly morph into paedophiles when alone with children.

    2. Believing that children should not be allowed to have any physical contact with each other at all, even hugging, holding hands or giving a mate a pat on the back (there was a massive outbreak of this in 2 local primary schools recently)

    3. Spending hundreds of millions on vaccines for a virus that to-date has killed less than 500 people globally, even though the common flu has killed more people in the same time period.

    4. Believing that the global economy was going downhill, thus causing people to spend less, which caused companies to sell less, which caused job losses, which reinforced the idea of a dwindling economy, which caused people to spend even less money, and so on and so on...
