I bought a 2nd hand laptop from Amazon Warehouse, its condition is down as "Used - Very Good" but the price difference between a one new & 2nd hand is just over £200 for this particular specification!

What physical inspections do people recommend I do before the return period expires. I would like some confidence that this thing isnt going to fall apart a few months down the road!

Its a Lenovo Ideapad Z580 if that makes any difference.

    Thanks in Advance!

Inside the Amazon packaging was a generic box with an Amazon Warehouse sticker on it so it definitely was a damaged box.

Looking at the laptop, all I could see was a slightly peeled windows sticker on the underside.

When I turned on the laptop, it had to be configured for a first run

I cant see any dead pixels

HDD test isnt showing any bad sectors so far (still running)

A quick stress test got the cores up to around 80'C

So far so good I think!

Most important one is battery life

    Is that really necessary?

None of it is really necessary, but knowing if you have bad RAM or not sure might as well.

You can simply run the test when the laptop wont be in use.
