Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I love the sound of rain, especially walking a few miles in it, it's very refreshing indeed. All I need now is thunder and lightning to make it all feel surreal.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,192 ✭✭✭pharmaton

    anyone else afraid of thunder?

Some drunk prick out next door kicking at the door for whoever is in there to let him in. I'll help the little shìt back out the gate now in a minute if he keeps it up!

I know how that feels as I had a drunk banging my front door in one saturday night/sunday morning around 1:30am, I opened the door and there was this guy urinating on the wall beside the door. I just said what the F are you doing banging my door in and he just said he wanted to just come in and go to bed, well door got shut on face and that was the last I saw of him.

You'd have to be quite foolish to base a late October bank holiday weekend on the weather being fine.

Excessive rain and thunder and lighting is more than average weather, only one bank holiday in the month of October.

its been milling down for a good week here so we're used to it at this stage, feel like I'm on a boat crossing the atlantic and there's another week of it to go

No thunder or lightning here, and not too much rain either. Didn't say there was more than one bank holiday in October, just that it was at the end of the month.

Still don't see it to be honest. "Late October bank holiday weekend", a bank holiday weekend in late October. Don't see the problem with that.

I imagine I would do something similar! I heard an awful loud rumble of thunder yesterday, sounded like it was directly over the house and just like how it sounds in films! :(

bricking it every time there's a downpour lately, can't remember the last time we had so much thunder storm activity. (at least here in the s.e.) Fork lightning strikes were directly overhead that day and the windows and doors shook with every one of them. The dog is traumatised too. Since the start of October there's been at least three seperate thunder events here and the last one blew out the mothers TV. I don't know how it can rain so much for so long either.
