Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I admire the commitment that people have to work for, achieve and maintain an athletic physique (men and women), but I don't find it particularly attractive. Muscles wouldn't be anywhere near the top of my wish-list as far as the ideal man goes. I prefer a man that's somewhere in the middle - not fat, not a weed, but not freakishly muscular either. Just normal please.

I work out a lot and follow Zuzannah Light's programs which give a pretty highly toned result and also good muscle. Sometimes she can be a little muscular, sure, but you know a week or two of not training soo hard and the estrogen softens that result quickly. It is MUCH more difficult for a female body to maintain good muscle tone. I also can tell generally women who are taking the contraceptive pill, it results in a sort of early pregnancy look, heavier waist, tummy and boobs, more water retention, lower appendicular limbs carry more weight.
It is great to see men AND women who take good care of their bodies, really your body is more important than anything you have, house, car, career, money, mean nothing if you don't have good health. Some people don't ever train their bodies to full potential, that is sad.

Here is Zuzannah Light, I think she has an excellent shape, and her boobs are artificial so having a very low body fat count doesn't affect THAT :D

I lifted for years, and to some extent women do like it as long as you dont get to 'big', thats what i found anyway.

Its very hard to tell if someone lifts though unless they are either very big or wear tight fitting clothes. Most ripped dudes can easily weigh 12 - 13 stone, depending on height etc (just look at the mens health cover models).

Of course there are so many variables to what i have stated above, and over all if you have a good looking face, not over weight, dress nicely and have a nice attitude then you half way there.

Tall girls need bigger guys generally. Even a tall girl only size 10 can weigh 10 stone plus, so a guy about 14 or 15 stones would be a nice size. A guy 5'10" who is 12 stone is the same proportionately to an average size girl who is 5'4 to 5'6, as a guy 6'4" is to me. Definitely the masculinity is enhanced with big muscles, because a very tall guy who is skinny or fat is not attractive to me.
BTW I was astonished to see how many very short 'celebs' like the Kardashian one, and others, can't remember their name, rappers etc., measure 42 to 44 inches on their as$!!! They are only 5'2" I can hardly imagine it. I'm 5'11" and mine is plenty big, but it's still only 39", so they are some very wide fat as$es, very near the ground too.

I accept that guys can find this very wide butt attractive, even though I'm a bit bewildered. Yet it's funny how many guys don't like that I am attracted to and date well built guys, really attraction is a biological response, which affects women as well as men. On a desert island or in a world away from computers I can tell you a woman would go for the strongest, most muscular partner. (Smart women would).

Yes she did porn for a while, but then worked in Bodyrockers before starting her own empire, she is huge on female empowerment, having learnt the hard way. She stated that being so poor in the Czech Republic, she started off without self esteem and was an easy target for the porn industry. She has carved a great life and career for herself and improved to be in better shape than 99% of women, DESPITE the porn.

I like fit men who take care of their bodies.

That doesn't mean Johnny Bravo style muscles. Just someone who looks like they give a sh1t and could throw me around the place at certain times. :)

Well thats great for you if that is the look that you like.

But where are her boobs gone, did she loose them to get the athletic build she has?

I like a woman who has a reasonable sized rack, everyone has different preferences.

Who said she ever had big boobs in the first place?? I've never lost breast size from losing weight so that rule doesn't apply to everyone. Also as I said, she may never have been big in that dept to begin with!

If your body fat is less than 21, you will lose weight from the breast area. The pectoral/digastric (weight at neck muscle which give you doublechin) is the first area to lose bodily FAT. You may compensate by building the pectoral major and minor muscle, and strengthening the Hooper's Ligament supporting the breast, but you will lose FAT (and I mean FAT, not necessarily VOLUME) from the breast area. If you continue below 20 body fat, you will definitely lose volume from the breast area and below 18 you will cease to menstruate.

perhaps you have become fitter and leaner than you were, you may indeed have lost weight but your body fat has never been under 21. The simple fact is, unless you have breast implants your breasts reduce when you get to the SUPER FIT stage. I've seen women with body fat of 26, big ass, no muscle definition, plenty of meat and because they have lost SOME weight, they think they are fit ;)

Actually, it has. So, less of the condescending tone please.

At the moment it's 21.58% and my boobs are still intact - I assure you they won't be going anywhere either as I've been alot leaner than this in the past. I've been training for a good few years and I'm aware I'm not as fit as I was, but I'm also aware of my bodyfat percentage and where I do/do not lose weight.

Well if your boobs are made up of fat mainly, not of the supporting muscle below, you will lose boob as you lose overall body fat. If your boobs are not really large, but made up of the pectoralis minor and major below, well then you won't lose it.

You say you were below 21% but some tests using weight height charts are not accurate, you need other tests as well. Breast tissue, mainly fat disappears when body fat is reduced. This is FACT, easily proven by looking at superfit athletes and as one poster on here pointed out, with extreme body building. So either your fat in your body is over 21%, or the area is mainly muscle, the rest is fairy stories. This is why body builders have boob jobs or not feminine upper body.

Also I notice here in Ireland a lot of people with collapsed arches and generally problems with their feet, most of whom are wearing these cardboard type shoes from Penneys. In a lot of colder european countries, people wear correct footwear, and their feet in general are in better health. I find a man who is athletic and good on his feet, most attractive.

Incidentally if a person wishes to increase breast volume, eating more eggs does this. Obviously ensure that your cholesterol is not high etc. A herb which can help increase breast tissue is Fennel, if you take one spoon in very hot water x 2ice daily. ;)

I've used calliper testing every single time I've had my bodyfat checked. And trust me, I have boobs- I fricking wish they were smaller to be honest!

A factor which can contribute to breasts being large, even though you may train, is artificial hormone intake.

I have worked with international athletes. I have never met a female athlete with bigger than a b cup under 20% body fat. And women with 12% body fat have no boobs at all. The body will not starve itself to maintain boobs, though it may try to hang on for a long while. When a woman correctly checks body fat with the caliper including boobs, it is usually 22 to 24% body fat, the same woman can measure as low as 18% if incorrectly measured. Common sense will tell you that if there is fat there, that alone raises the overall fat percentage of the body.

A lot of running will move weight from the pecs if you are interested in spot reducing from there (which would be curious, as women generally don't try reduce there). Definitely targeted weights will reduce fat from the chest area. Naturally your diet affects every part of your result.

Hans Christian Andersen is excellent for the fairy stories.

This is starting to get irritating. So I'm going to work in point format.
    • My breast size is DD.
    • You cannot spot reduce.
    • I do not measure my own BF, it is professionally measured.
    • Yes, BF measurements in general are not reliable as there are about 10 different methods, all of which are said to be the 'best' by various professionals - however they do give a good general indication of BF and a good measuring point to work from.
    • If you wish you continue to post up bullsh1t please drop me a mail, as I think we're derailing the thread; I posted here for years regarding my own training and I'll be happy to share my prev nick with you.

I would of thought that you lost fat equally from every part of your body.

Like somebody wouldn't loose 30lbs and say that their arms stayed exactly the same size during all this.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 220 ✭✭DramaQuee

Of course you can spot reduce. Like doing pilates can remove fat from your waist. You can maintain the size of your thigh, or increase it, and reduce your waist and breast from running.

But if you wish to labour under misapprehensions that is entirely up to you. I'm sure you will not be present on the international circuit any time soon anyway, it is no wonder general Irish fitness levels are so underwhelming.

Ok, Im standing at the top of the bridge, I have the stale bread...lets feed this troll.

How do you spot reduce exactly? How does your body know that today you would like to burn ass fat but leave boob fat as is?

Of course you can spot increase...by working a specific muscle, but thats because you can target a muscle in isolation (well not fully in isolation but Im sure most people understand the point)

    You CAN change your SHAPE.
Perhaps overall fat percentage remains the same.
BUT You can reduce your waist and breast measurement while maintaining or increasing leg and glut muscle (measurement).
You can increase muscle, weigh more and have smaller breast and waist measurement.

You haven't read what I have written, or you haven't the cognitive ability to process it, if you contradict this. But measurements in specific areas can reduce from exercise targeting these areas, changing the diet, including removing salt etc. Body builders sculpt their bodies.

I am laughing at the ignorance, preference of contention, and lack of genuine interest in the subject. You will never increase you knowledge if you negate out of context anything that sounds contradictory to what you dogmatically believe.

If you want to believe that something cannot be changed that is entirely up to you. I know from your aggressive, closed mind, jumping to conclusion response that you are not interested in the truth, or understanding what I wrote.

Have the last word, I really don't mind. I have studied correct training and seen how body sculpting works, I have worked with top european athletes. I have top athletes in my family, moreso than anyone on here. The Irish have a long way to go. Be my guest folks, ignorantly jeer all you want.
