Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Doesn't sound like she is using a custom Rom...

OP - can you factory reset it?

Ive tried by but the options screen thats suppose to come up to let me choose to restore it isnt coming up . The samsung logo just pops up for about 2 secs and then a blank screen again

This started yesterday when I went into settings and was looking for an upgrade . It said 4.3 was available so I went ahead with the install . When the android icon with the % info was on the screen it kept stopping at 90% and then the screen would go blank . I left it like this for hours hoping it would just install and reboot but no luck .

Troubleshooting for Stuck at Logo or Boot Loop Issues:

Turn off the phone, remove and reinsert the battery into the phone. Check if the issue is resolved.
If the issue persists, perform a Wipe Data/Factory Reset via recovery. To do so, boot into recovery mode as follows: press and hold Home, Volume Up and Power keys together until the screen powers on and then release all three keys to enter recovery mode.
In recovery mode, use Volume keys to navigate and Power key to select an option.
Choose Wipe Data / Factory reset in recovery and then click Yes to confirm.
    Finally, choose Reboot System Now.

Ok , ive been trying to enter recovery mode but it wont . It goes into installing system update with the android on the screen but thats where it will only go to 90% and still wont boot up . I cant seem to get into the recovery options .

Do you have it plugged in? Always found it hard to get into recovery mode with it plugged in

Hold the three buttons until you see the small blue text on top of the screen. You can let go of the buttons then, should get you into recovery mode.

Failing that, I'm not sure would it work, but you could connect it to kies and try a firmware recovery?

Hi , yes ive tried both being plug in and not . I get the blue text on the screen but then it goes to the android icon and says software update installing , which seems to work fine untill it gets to 90% and then takes about 20 minutes before it goes to a blank screen again . Ive tried leaving it like this for 2 to 3 hours to see if it woukd force the installation but when I power it back on the samsung logo flashes up and thats it . I have also tried installing kies but I keep getting an error . Thanks for taking thebtime to reply , I have emailed samsung and they are looking for proof of purchase which I dont have , my brother sold me the phone and he is now in england . He is going to see if hecan find the receipt but am I stuck without any assistance from samsung if he cant find it .

At least as it's such a new phone, it will have to be in warranty. I've already (probably) invalidated my warranty by flashing custom roms.

    Best of luck!
