the squad the beat QPR and Fulham should be more than capable of picking up 6 points over christmas. we have a few big games in january, i would rather a full fit cleverly then, as well as a few others.

Great news about Jones. The Tank, fair knock he took the other night, surprised he didnt go off sooner. Great tackle on Ruiz for a fella who's head was rattling

I reckon if he didn't get the knock, he would have cleared the ball first time instead of missing it and letting ruiz in.
He then would have collected his own clearence at the edge of the Fulham box and scored an amazing overhead kick, such is his talent

Fantastic news about Jones.

After a depressing few weeks form wise, the last 2 games have certainly made me a lot happier going into the new year.

Ive never been his biggest fan but, we seem to be oh so more solid looking with Carrick back in the team. Kudos to him.:)

We should be looking to get 12 points from next 4 league games which are Wigan(h), Blackburn(h), Newcastle(a) and Bolton(h) before our visit to Emirates on 22nd of January.

Id say give a chance tbh. Hes only had half a season so far. He was brilliant for the first couple of months. Granted his form since then has been patchy to brutal but its way to early to be writing him off.

Definitely agree with Adox, he looked like he had really made the step up and flourished over the pre-season and first few games and people were talking about Valencia no longer being first choice.

When the teams form waned after Cleverley's injury, Young's performance levels along with everyone elses dropped. He hasn't looked brilliant in a while, but give the lad a chance we aren't halfway through the season. The team is getting back to the swashbuckling ways and he may well refind the form. At least we know that he has it in him to be a top player, a goal threat and an assist getter.

Could be worse, we could have signed Downing who has shown very little promise at all.

To cure the boredom of taking a break from Skyrim, I had a go at a Jones sig myself, so I might as well show off my lack of photoshopping skills in this shiny new thread.

Doesn't seem to be showing up properly though. More work needed.

I also have never been a big fan of his mainly due to inconsistent form in the past. But when the guy is consistent, I've no problem at all because he justifies his place. So long may it last.

I wont mind Young as our 3rd choice winger. We won lot of trophies because of our quality squad not just first 11. He would be starting for most of the teams week in week out.

He is good enough to be a squad player for sure, not to forget he is versatile too.

i actually wouldnt be surprised if jones did break his cheek bone, but has decided to play anyway.

really has been an incredible signing so far,and while he has his faults at times, he is just one of those players that just tears into everything.

a cm of him, cleverly and carrick in the 5 man games, would be oh so good IMO with valencia and nani out wide.

valencia back on form lately is excellent for us. for all the talk about carrick being a big reason for us playing well, valencia should not be forgotten either,he has been smashing in the past 2 or 3 weeks.
