Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

I want to say as gaeilge: 'he wanted the Irish language to be spoken everywhere'! Is it 'ba mhaith leis an teanga gaeilge a labhairt i ngach ait'. (I know I'm missing fadas, as my phone won't allow me to do them :) ). Thanks for your help ðŸ˜Ž

So what you have is correct, but it means "he wants the Irish language to speak the Irish language everywhere". Also, directly translating "the Irish language" to "an teanga Gaeilge" seems unnatural to me. How you would say that in Irish is simply "an Ghaeilge".

What you need is the saorbhriather. ar fud na háite is a nice way of sayin everywhhere.

Ba mhaith leis go labhrófar an Ghaeilge ar fud na háite

Sorry have to edit this, I'm pretty sure it should be "go labhrófaí" (that irish would be spoken). I'm not definite on the spelling however, would someone correct me?
