Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've been doing edits on OSM for the last month or so, doing a fair bit of work on adding details to railways, amongst other bits.

    http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=16/53.3538/-6.2403

There are custom maps here: http://www.itoworld.com/map/group/1 that show specific features, e.g. electrification or number of tracks.

Note that OSM only shows features that currently exist. Many railways are shown as a single line for ease of database maintenance, i.e. only one line needs to be changed if some detail changes or is added, but there is a field for adding number of tracks.

Feel free to make any comments about anything incorrect or missing.

Has anyone used Railmaponline? At the moment it can only be viewed in the website but I think long term it may move to openlayers or be GPS enabled. http://www.railmaponline.com/UKIEMap.php

I use OSI and OS mapping a lot and have found a couple of downloadable files you can import, one of some disused lines in Ireland and NI and another of most disused lines in the UK

Same. Consitiency is something that's lacking on IÉ info on OSM, a lot of the route relations have to be done. Although I've added the maxspeeds between Cherryville and Athy, for some reason opemrailwaymap won't render mph limits properly and show 100mph as 100kmph...
