Might be a bit late now to see them (I think). There're there only from May to mid July. The rest of the time they are out to sea.

Cliffs of Moher Clare is the easiest place to see them in summer ( no need for boat trips). You will need binoculars or telescope to get good views though.

You can see them at seawatching sites (ie Bridge of Ross, Helvick head) at the moment. You will need telescope however and the wind direction will have to be correct

Went over there one year around this time and there were plenty about. Either way, a trip to Skellig is one of those memorable things to do in life. Fantastic. Boats from Portmagee daily.

There are still a few knocking around near the breeding sites but not as many as a couple of weeks ago.

Too late for this year. There may be a few hanging about but every day there will be less.

I'd honestly start by going to some of the more accessible sites next year, if I were you. Lovely island but better views of Puffins are available elsewhere. Skelligs are quite restrictive in where it is safe to wander and very weather depenant.

Next year, try rathlin island...still a boat ride, but superb viewing, safe and accessable.

In fairness, as the OP wants to watch Puffins, it's Skellig Michael.:)
