Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

New and Improved Services - Route 43

    Route 43

Due to continued population growth and commercial developments along
Route 43, from Sunday 12th March 2006 we are adding 23 new daily departures (an increase of over 60%). This service has now been extended to Swords Business Park and operates via Swords Main Street, the Pavilions Shopping Centre, Kinsealy and direct along the Malahide Road Quality Bus Corridor to the city centre. More early departures and late evening departures are a feature
    of this new timetable.

60% is a huge increase, which depot is this route from now?

    Bollox!

Until they go zonal they're still ****e! You hop from one mode of transport to another and you have to pay for a sperate ticket!

    Rant over, carry on.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

60% of fuc all to begin with is not that great the ammount of houses gone up and going up in this area means that a 60% increase is no where near enough

And the 43 operates from Clontarf

No you don't you just have to use your loaf and buy a travel 90 ticket or a rambler ticket or a weekly ticket

And even if it was based on zonal it would not solve that problem

Ah, yes, but what if part of your journey is based on the Luas...? Eg Sadnyford to Clontarf...

The 41 route which also servers this area has also had a big increase in the last year or so,in fact they have had buses added twice in the last year.

What, for a journey aI make once or twice every other week....? Problem is, I'd need to be doing it every other day to make it worthwhile.

If I can get there for 1.50 on bus only why is it not possible to do it on Luas/bus combo? One ticket one jourmey one simple reasonable price. Other European cities can organise it, why not Dublin?

And having to walk from Stephen's Green to Abbey St totally negates any worthwhile time saving.
