I need a new desktop PC and don't know what to buy. I need it to run Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CS6, also do some video editing in the future. I have a monitor picked out, a DELL Ultrasharp 27inch.

I was given a little bit of advice from a friend and this is what was suggested...

on the pc front, try to get the following > quad core, 16gb ram, 2gb graphics card and and SSD boot drive.. if you have that then the rest is less important...

Any ideas guys? Thanks in advance

If its just for VMS then no but which VM is VMware then 16 or 32 is better than 8 I would change graphics to the processor one I think its €30 more then try to get the 32 or even ssd for VMS. That would speed up vms
