Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Central chimney - covering wall

We have a 3 bed semi d with a central chimney. As a result, our kitchen has a diagonal wall which is in front of the chimney. From what we can tell, this wall is a screen and there is a varying amount of triangular space between it and the chimney breast behind.

We'd like to create one room from our kitchen and dining room but are not prepared to remove the chimney, based on advice from architects and builders. But we do think there might be scope to remove the screening wall to allow us to open up the room a bit more.

Has anyone done this? And / or what's the best way to investigate it - can we assess it without knocking through the wall?
